Box truck leaked during a rain storm and left swollen water spots on brand new interior doors as well as ruined a good portion of wood trim during a brief transport. The entire reason to rent the truck was to keep the materials from getting wet during the rain storm! I only had the truck for approximately 6 hours before returning it. No need to keep using a leaking truck. Paid full price.John J.

Drop off experience was excellent, representative was very helpful and easy to deal with and is the only reason I would consider renting another vehicle from Uhaul. The representative that processed our order in store was not pleasant by any means. My wife & I both left feeling as if we should have taken our business elsewhere but didn't have time to redo the entire process. After we walked outside I told my wife that guy acted as if he had been forced to deal with the customers and obviously wasn't pleased about doing so. Sadly, she said his name tag suggested he was the owner of that location. We may try Uhaul again but can assure it won't be this location.TRISHA B.

I'm thankful that the manager, Adam, was there when we returned the truck!! Zac was an impossible employee to deal with! Arrogant! Insisted we would pay for 63 miles when we only went 23 miles! He was rude and obnoxious. (We had rented the same truck, same distance in July, tried to have him look at the past rental for mileage verification, but he refused! Adam, was wonderful. He took care of us--the customer!! He made adjustments to offset the incorrect mileage! We appreciated that. We have used your rental place several times. I was going to drive about 2000 miles and requested a "good" truck. (There were quite a few on the lot.) I got in the truck and the first down hill I went down, the truck lurched and I thought the transition was going to fall out. I made it the full 1900 miles, but the drive was TERRIBLE and I was more exhausted than I should've been. This is not the quality I've come to expect from U-Haul. The person who helped me could also use some human-interaction skills. He was not completely rude, but he definitely wasn't friendly. Despite all this, I would go back to this location.CYNTHIA S.

First, they gave me a unit that already had someone elses belongings inside and then issued me a new storage space. THAT space was empty, but they forgot to add that to my account so they locked my box up. Had to chat with them about that issue for nearly a half hour trying to get THAT squared away. Then the truck I rented to haul my toolbox had a door that kept popping open, and if it wasnt for a friendly driver on the road, I could have spilled everything out that wasnt tied down and/or killed someone. Truck had a cracked windscreen. Not a biggie, but I had to explain it away after the fact. After that, they neglected to close my account when I returned the vehicle as the unit was now empty. Now I keep getting rent reminders and charges added to a unit that I turned in 1 month ago. So you tell me how my experience was.Kevin U. | Overall Experience

Needed to adjust rental equipment (dolly, pads) on pickup for 7/31/21 rental, so went to counter. Service Rep adjusted those items and said they had updated rental agreement. Requested no insurance coverage as per the original reservation. Svc Rep retrieved different truck than indicated on paperwork (different miles, fuel level, damages, etc), and later found they had charged for insurance coverage even after it was specifically declined, Provided only half the pads requested. Had to chase rep down to get a contract showing correct fuel level and miles (got the distinct impression no change would have been made w/o my bringing it up even though when I brought it to his attention he said "oh yeah, I brought around the wrong truck". Driver's door did not close correctly and seriously leaked air, rain, and road noise. Because of the truck 'switch', ultimately the u-haul app would not allow me to do the pre-rental assessment, so it took over an hour just to wade through the confusion and pick up the truck. Because of the pickup delays, by late afternoon I could see the same day return was going to be after location closing, so called the U-Haul number on the contract ~2 1/2 hours prior to closing time and gained approval to do so. Upon return there was an extended thunderstorm in progress and so was unable to take the required photos for mobile checkout for ~1.5 hours, plus the mobile app was not working correctly. The final invoice via the mobile app checkout process showed insurance WAS charged, so contested the charge during the same day checkin. The following day received an invoice for 2 day rental plus insurance charges still on the bill. Emailed the invoicing rep (772021_GM@uhaul.com) on August 3rd to have the amount adjusted to correctly reflect 1 day rental and no insurance. Have not received any reply. One of the worst overall service experiences I have had in quite a while.John T.

The associate, Joseph Cheatham, was more than accommodating on my returning of the truck. He waived my fuel and missing dolly charges. He deserves a raise for being an exceptional fella. I had rented climate controlled storage for my belongings at the same location as the truck return. This had be reserved two weeks prior to my move. I didn't pay for it but only reserved. An employee informed me -- when I inquired -- that no climate controlled storage was not available and the online reservation system "sometimes will make reservations when they have nothing available". I am not moving to a new home right now due to the inflated housing market so I am staying with a friend. I needed that storage option to hold my belongings for 6-8months. I am glad that I asked before bringing the truck there fully loaded!! I found a much better storage facility in the Providence area of Mount Juliet. It is cheaper and they were a tremendous help during a stressful past couple of days in relocating. As a result of the negative experience, I will not be using Uhaul again in the future, nor will I recommend this location. If any charges that I paid in rental fees can be refunded, I would greatly appreciate it. My repair expenses on my damaged property will be documented and sent for reimbursement.JENNIFER J.

The overhead door/garage door was bent and off the track at the bottom. It got to the point that I could not open it all the way up, nor could I close it. I complained and a member of the staff worked on it and got it closed. I returned several days later and the door was still bent and water was dripping down on my quilting machine. We reserved a 15 truck and when we got there they did not have one to give us. We had to take the 10 truck. Told us they overbooked and didn't have what we needed. Your online site should not reflect that you have equipment available that you don't have. I even called the location to make sure and they assured us they would have what we needed. Upon arrival, unit had not been swept out and dead roaches were present. Staff did let me borrow a broom to sweep out. During our near 2 month stay, we caught one roach, which is not bad at all, but also caught one mouse, which I'm glad the wife didn't see. While the gentleman who helped me reserve my unit was very helpful and friendly, the one who moved me out was unfortunately not. His answers were short and he didn't seem to want to be bothered. He was very unenthusiastic about his job. I've used this facility before and could have sworn there was a proration of rent if you moved out early; yesterday while I was mid-question, he cut me off saying "they don't prorate." It's frustrating because we were just billed roughly 3-5 days ago and basically had the whole month left. Our rental unit was not swept,out, had dead cockroaches, and mouse droppings in the well of an interior wall. I was was expecting a lot more, as far as cleanliness from "indoor climate controlled" storage facility. I told an employee there and he stated that he never goes into the storage units and gave me the managers card. Matter of fact the pile we swept out, was still there today. Online rental process was easy and fast. I was surprised at the cost being a little higher than expected. When I arrived, my unit had a lock on it. Luckily the manager was there and he quickly moved me to a new unit.
