It takes forever to rent a truck when it should not especially if I am renting a storage unit. You should not give out truck rentals based upon expected return dates but instead of when the trucks are actually returned. I based my moving for my employment based on these dates, however, those are not accurate in your database. Not to mention the super small storage units uhaul offers for a free month. This should be based off of the truck size that is rented not what you have available. I had an extremely hard time fitting a 26 foot truck rental into a space that is meant for a 2 bedroom apartment. Im sure guys can do better and since I manage 200 ppl on a daily basis I do not understand the barrier here. Thank you.Linnea M. | Overall Experience

665 perry st at that location, the manager was fraud. Guys don't take u haul rental from this location because they all lied. From me, for 18 miles they charge &90.00. Whenever I took the truck they told me I have to pay 45$ for 30 miles but I just done only 18 miles and they charge $90 dang what kind of fraud managers is that Wtf I won't take the rental from that fking locating. I did not like that there were other products in the back of the truck that got in my way. I would have ordered a utility dolly and pads hand gloves if I needed them. I was really troubled by that. The positive is that at the Perry Street location they were amazing they did everything they could to make it easy and seamless. It takes a lot to impress me but I was really impressed by how that location operates.Donald M.

It's impossible and frustrating to not be able to find a phone number to contact the install facility. The online scheduling booked me for a Sunday and I drive an hour to get there only to be told that they don't do installs on Sunday! Reservation for a storage that was already occupied so got no storage because employees did not check to make sure after a hour trip . So I traveled for nothing as well . Instead of offering me a nother one for the same price they did not accommodate after their mistake very poor service. Staff member was very helpful in helping me remove my pin in my hitch since I lost my key to it. Super nice guy But my son in law lost his wallet at the store parking lot(he thinks) and he tried to call the store and he got the corporate line which was no help to him and I guess they said they tried to call the store manager to ask him if they seen it but some how names got confused or something. He drove back there to talk to someone and they where helpful but his wallet wasn't there. They said in that neighborhood it would be gone in minutes. The service I have received from UHaul has been horrendous. I have yet to have my concerns addressed from my move over 8 weeks ago. It is impossible to get anyone on the phone without holding for 45 minutes or more. I have been charged incorrectly more than 3 times amounting to hundreds of dollars. Even though the conversations are recorded, I have yet to have anyone able to hear the conversations from my booking for confirmation. My experience with UHaul has been the worst part of any move I have ever made.Peter W.

Truck was in bad condition. Interior smelled like cigarettes. Truck struggled go get to 50mph Steering was lose, the steering wheel had a lot of movement before anything happened Alignment was off. Had to keep wheel turned to the left on order to keep truck straightMICHAEL ANTHONY R.

We had to search for an attendant to help us with the return of our trailer. Once a girl came out she just motioned for us to back the trailer up into a space. We have always used U-Haul for in-town moves. This was an across the country move and it went smoothly. U-Box was delivered on time, picked up on time after loading, and arrived at the destination soon than expected. Staff at both locations were most helpful and courteous. UHaul should always tell clients that you can't park them in the streets without a trailer and to make sure they find out if they need a permit to park from their town. This needs to be emphasized. I only knew this because I did research but not everyone has access to do researchLAURA C.

Gave me a 10ft truck instead of the cargo van I booked (maybe I booked it wrong) but when I explained he said he'd take care of it. Gave me new keys and it turned out to be a 15ft truck! I requested a pickup at a location near me and I was made to pickup at a location that was not good for me. My cost was much higher because I had to pay for a taxi both ways to this location. I told customer service about this problem before I rented the truck and they did not care. I was told "Take it or leave it".cary D.

Reservation location was changed without notification after the reservation was pushed back an hour already (I was understanding up to this point). I was then told that my 6 hour rental was changed to 4 hours upon pick up. After speaking with customer service I was told â€œit's not ideal, but it is what it is.â€ The price was not adjusted at all even though my reservation was cut by two hours. I then had a crew unload an entire 26 ft truck onto a front lawn as opposed to into the house so I could get the truck back in time (not for uhauls sake and not to avoid the penalty but so that the family who had reserved it after me did not have the same experience and be told â€œtough luckâ€ as well). I returned the truck without filling up the 1/8 of a tank I used to meet the time and get back to my crew and help. I asked the location to at the very least waive the gas fee. I then received not one, but two charges on my credit card for gas. I'm not one to write a review but this was the most infuriating experience I've had in quite some time and along the way I was met with apathy from every individual I spoke with and was told I was out of luck. I also was met with a â€œthis is not our problemâ€ from the location, from customer service, and from the scheduling department. I asked them to do something to make it right (again, not one to ever do this) and was met with â€œwe understand, but this is not our problemâ€. I've had nothing but positive experiences with uhaul up to this point and this single experience makes me never want to use them again.ALEXANDERWILLIAM H.

The current Perry St location manager (Carolin Doyle) was EXTREMELY patient & helpful in resolving my most recent problem. My storage room was "presumed" to have been "vacated" - without making any attempt to contact me for verification - based on my failure to place a lock on the door, even tho it was simply because I hadn't yet moved anything into the unit. I was never prev advised that the lock was required, even on an empty unit & even tho the rent was fully paid to date. I was very impressed with her customer service efforts. I do wish, however, that there was 24 hour access to my indoor unit (or perhaps at least extended hours thru midnight or 1am) - similar to that of our outside storage units. It would simply make it more accessible when I can find help with moving my items. I am in my late 70s, & my potential helpers work til late evening.Bernadette C. | First Impressions

Have previously stored with U-Haul at a different location, and have had no issues. The Larkin location is closer to our new place, and I love how large the loading doc is, and that we are able to bring in both of our cars at one time to unpack.
