I've had my things moved out since the 26th and for whatever reason, yesterday I received a call asking me to pay for that unit. The location on Kings Highway in Saint Louis needs to restructure their process of checking in returned trailers. For two-three weeks straight I continuously got calls & text that the trailer had not been returned & would be reported missing. I was surprised that hooking the dolly up was not part of the rental agreement but rather an additional cost. They gave me a uhaul that was almost on empty and stated that if i bring it back on a quarter tank they would pay me but instead i brought it back exactly how it was given and was charged 7 dollars for gas and one of the check in agents told me bringing it back like that can ruin the truck . funny how they care on how we bring it back but didn't care how they gave it to me . This is to review U-Haul policies and customer experience associated with Truck Share 24/7. The user experience is terrible. It took me 45 minutes to rent the truck, 45 minutes to return it, and the system didn't even tell me where to put the key for the truck I was returning. While I was attempting to return my truck, two other customers asked me to help them...one was renting, the other was returning. U-Haul needs to send the customer a simple checklist to tell them what to bring with them to complete each step of the process. It is now 23 hours later, and my U-Haul account still does not provide a link to my contract or a receipt. I just spent 15 more minutes on the phone trying to get a copy of my final receipt so I can submit it for reimbursement...and I still don't know if it's final. These are all corporate process issues that have nothing to do with this particular location. I marked the rating as Poor even though this terrible customer experience has nothing to do with this location. The truck was fine. The only thing I wish the location would do would be to provide better lighting for people picking up and dropping off in the dark.Dianne E.

I was given a different van that was not listed on my contract. Which means everything was off the mileage. The amount of gas that was in the van and when i returned the staff wanted to guess what i would be charged. Then they had to mapquest where i went to try and get the correct amount. The truck was very clean and in good condition, but the service, from one individual in particular, was surprisingly poor. A female behind the desk, the first person to receive us, was on her cell phone not paying an ounce of attention to us. We had to request her attention. From then on out she was curt and not particularly helpful. I can't remember the last time I've written about poor customer service on a survey...but this employee really left us with a poor taste in our mouths about this particular U-HAUL location.Samuel S.

I was doing the mobile check-in for the first time which was taking a while to load. I stepped inside the store to get guidance from the staff if I needed to get the keys from anyone or what the next step was. The guy behind the desk was condescending in tone & kept repeating the same thing over & over, telling me the app would tell me where to pick up my keys. He wasn't a clear communicator & was unhelpful in answering my questions when trying to get a little guidance since this was my first time at this location & using this type of mobile check in service.Katie W.
The two men running the front counter could not have been more dismissive and rude. I was renting a truck to move furniture with my daughter in the freezing rain and they treated me like an idiot, which I am not. Told me to walk around until I found the right truck (in the rain). We did and could not locate a truck with the number on it that my reservation asked for. When I told them that, he said it was the one with NO NUMBER ON IT and acted like I was stupid. (Hmmm, I was supposed to know that the NUMBERLESS truck was the one I reserved? Weird, because I DON'T WORK THERE, THEY DO.) I have used this U-HAUL location several times in the past but will go out of my way to never do so again. I don't deal with assholes. Also, dicking around with these two rubes cost me an extra 45 minutes of daylight and time I paid for the truck while moving, which is unacceptable. What a shit show.Jessica M.

I did not like the second floor the lights did not turn on and it look like all the storage units was old and dirty. I was forced to buy two units because the elevators are super small and my unit was on the 6 floor I could not fit couches and a few other items on the elevator witch made me have to rent a second unit just for the items in the basement so now I'm paying 134 per month for one unit on the 6 floor and 80 for another on the basement just because the elevator was to smallAlan O. | First Impressions

The staff at this storage facility were all helpful, and made move in day as easy as possible despite my circumstances. However, the building is a little outdated, and the elevators are very small. The staff here tried their best to find a new solution for us, but ultimately the moving crew that I hired had to carry my 2-piece sectional up 6 flights of stairs, which caused my moving cost to be much more expensive than I had planned (and hard labor for the movers). ** If you have large pieces to store I would suggest a facility with a freight elevator. ** Aside from the elevator size, I would recommend this facility, overall a clean and secure center.Rachel J. | First Impressions
