The automated U-Haul reservation system has some issues. It claimed I was not at the correct location when I was parked in front of the office with the street address listed on the building. The people who worked the location also had some issue with helping me solve that automated pickup and quickly used the information so that I could complete the process and was out in a quick time. They were kind and patient with my expressed frustration.Gustav H.

I don't normally ride in trucks, so I don't close the door accordingly. As a result, I was on the freeway when it seemed my door was not closed well. No indicator lights, but I did notice a difference. Also, I was not aware that furniture blankets were already in the truck. Felt sort of like a swindle when I realized it.Mikki M.

Nothing, it was great! At the location that is. Insofar as U-Haul itself I was very unhappy that I wasn't able to upgrade to a larger truck! I tried logging on numerous times and it wouldn't let me, I tried to get a code sent to both my email and my phone number, and neither would work. It was extremely frustrating and because of that I had to make two trips!Traci V.
Keller Lake Uhaul in Maplewood MN was outstanding. the problem I had was that I planned for and received a confirmation for a different location that was closer to my storage unit in Cottage Grove, MN. I was suppose to get a call from acorn storage on West Douglas road in Cottage Grove MN. So I showed up in cottage grove not knowing my reservation haf been switched. I wasted 15 miles there then had to go another 20 miles to get to Maplewood where my truck was reserved then i had to drive another 15 miles to go to my storage unit that was less than two miles from the acorn storage in cottage grove 30 miles round trip then another 16 miles to return the Uhaul truck. Everything was good at Keller Lake Uhaul in maplewood just the unplanned reservation change and the logistics of an additional 35 miles in in my personal car and the additional 35 miles added to my rental at $.79/mile plus the additional gas for both on an already stressful day didn't sit well with me. I had a confirmation notice saying i was set in Cottage Grove MN. It seems like I was switched because Keller lake was open on Sunday and Cottage Grove never called to confirm or verify before on Friday or Saturday being they were closed on Sunday.Jason H.

I called the customer service line and waited for 30 mins to connect and the agent cut the call abruptly with no resolution- the 2nd time. The truck has a transmission problem and drops down a gear when you press the brakes even when driving highway speeds. This results in the truck engine revving to 4000-4500 rpms all the time as it downshiftsTimothy O.

The store manager didn't know how to process my card for the reservation. She had to call her boss to resolve the issue. When I told her I also had cash if needed. she made a comment about not letting customers use cash to rent a truck. Because customers steal trucks when they rent them with cash.. I have done that at other locations. Not to mention on my arrival at the store she had ran out to catch a customer to verify how he was going to pay for his rental. It came across as she didn't trust me, because of my skin color. It made me feel uncomfortable doing business with someone who has those archaic thoughts. Re: the return of the vehicle. I was supposed to return the truck at 6:00, I was running late. I called to let them know I would be late. I was filling the gas tank and on my way back to the rental location. She told me fine. 15-20 minutes later I receive a call from u-haul manager stating I was supposed to have returned the truck at 6:00; along with a lot of attitude. I stated I just talked to you and you said it was ok. She stated she was trying to multitask and did not realize it was me she had talked to. She did apologize for her mistake. In my opinion that should not have happened. For these reasons I would not recommend this location. I have had excellent service at the u-haul store on University ave, Midway St Paul, MN.Melanie W.
