I ordered a 17' through the website. Received a call telling me neither the truck nor the location I wanted was available. Got a 15' truck instead, which ended up not being big enough. Had to make an extra trip to get the rest of my stuff, which since I moved an hour away is kind of a big deal. When I turned the truck in, I told the guy that the truck I wanted wasn't available and that the one I got wasn't big enough. He said you guys are getting rid of the 17' trucks and that's why one wasn't available. You should change the website to reflect that. It's incredibly frustrating to think I can get what I need online only to find out later on that I can't. I won't be using your website in the future and if it weren't for the excellent customer service I received from your staff in the store, I wouldn't be using you again at all based on this experience. Also, you should put stickers in the truck saying how many gallons of fuel the tank holds to make filling up easier.Megan B.

The location was far from my location for the equipment I was requesting. I wanted a 5x9 trailer with ramp. Supposedly the Independence, MO location was the only one available at the time. The web site showed one was available in Lenexa, KS. Had to drive an extra 20 minutes!NATHAN S.

This is the best U-Haul dealership. So, I guess, the best way to put it is this; Sam and his staff are the best, period. I drive past multiple other locations for U-Haul just to use this operation. I will continue to go out of my way to always rent here because Sam and his staff are that good. This is the model for an outstanding dealership. Can not thank them enough.John D.

How about not jack your prices up just because it's a weekend. I got the smallest truck and still paid 500! Only for 2 days! That's crazy! Few years ago I rented the biggest truck and only paid 200 some. Pricing is outrageous.Kenneth S.

They failed to timely check in the trailer and overcharged me $148.50. The manager told me I could return the trailer after hours, and they would check it in the following morning. They did not do that and simply hit my credit card for $148.50 in additional rental fees for days when the trailer was parked at their location. Very poor performance. I took photos of the trailer when I returned it. That photo evidence spares me being stuck with the $148.50 of rent for days I didn't use the trailer. I did get a refund approved by U-Haul customer service today. I don't recommend this location.JOHN W.

The truck had not been cleaned prior to my pickup time. However the U-Haul person who checked me out noticed it himself and told me there wouldn't be a cleaning fee when the truck was returned. Otherwise the truck was in good condition. I had no problems with it. Customer service was excellent. Employees were attentive and friendly to everyone who came in.RONALD B.

When we got in the van, marijuana smell was so strong There was even a joint in the cigarette lighter, there was also an empty can of energy drink on the passenger side. I don't think anybody clean and look at the van before we rented it, I had a headache from the marijuana smell the whole time we were in the vanJeffrey M.

Original order was correctly placed than half of the assignment disappeared. Two weeks late for delivery. U-Haul did not have trailer available for the subcontractor movers to pickup the U-Haul box. So the movers had to wait a few hours. U-Haul team member dropped the U-Haul box upon retrieving box with fork lift. This resulted my furniture and boxes being scattered. This location is clean and the customer service was great. The older guy behind the desk was nice and appeared to care about his job and making sure we had what we needed for a successful move! They were out of the 15 foot truck I was looking for so maybe booking sooner in advance would be helpful for other people but we managed okay with the 10 foot one just was harder without a ramp!NICHOLAS M.

My original storage was to be on Noland Rd in Independence, MO. Unfortunately, it was not going to be large enough, according to RJ. I completely understood because I had a 20' truck and it was full. He was kind and patient with me. I had had an extremely rough trip. He directed me to the 24 Hwy store. I meet Sam there. He was also very kind and patient. He got me into a storage unit and apologized for not being able to receive the truck and transport. He was full and did not have help. He said I would have to return it to Noland Rd. No problem. I was thankful that he had space for me. My help had arrived to unload. The tire strap on the front drivers side had come off in my travels and had wrapped itself around the axle and tie rod. My brother was concerned about the damage it might cause to try to pull on it. I asked Sam for help and he was more than happy to oblige. For a Woman Vet traveling with her Service Dog alone, RJ and Sam were My Sunshine at the end of a very long, wet and dark journey home. The only this I didn't like was the fact that if you rent under a month, you don't get some of your money back! That needs to change! The storage & staff were great. We rented for only 2 weeks and should have gotten half that back in my opinion. Why would you keep all payment if only for 2 weeks.
