At the time of rental, we weren't told where to park when we bought the truck back. We had to go back to the truck to pull up at the office.

The company send messages and will call. I had a few challenges that put me behind schedule. I contacted uhaul and to my surprise it was handled right away and rescheduled 20 mins later. Very satisfying The puck up location was very helpful . The revered vehicle was still available.

The u haul was nice and we used it to move furniture to our new home. Heather was super nice in the rental office but we had expected blankets inside & there were none. We had to use tarps & our good bedspreads so that was a little disappointing.

Train the service provider in some basic customer service skills. She displayed an attitude that was perceived as less than acceptable; not even an occasional smile - during pick-up and drop-off. Her whole demeanor was interpreted as if she was "doing me a favor by letting me rent her truck". Because of my schedule, I tolerated the service, but never will I choose U-Haul again based on this one bad experience. I'm sure U-Haul will do just fine without my help. Thank you.

Reservation was made online for a 7:00 a.m. pickup - which happens to be the time the office is scheduled to be open. No one was there at 7:00, 7:05, 7:10, 7:15 and I finally resorted to calling the manager's phone number as listed on the office exterior. No one answered my first call so I left a message. I didn't receive a call back so at 7:20 I tried the manager's (Heather) number again, waking her. She told me she would call right back which she did stating that the responsible employee was on their way. Finally, at 7:25 the individual showed up. It took a while for her to park, get in the building, boot up the computer, etc. Time sensitivity is apparently not uppermost on their priority list. I would have liked to sleep in and arrive late too. However, I was expecting a delivery and needed that cargo van at the scheduled time. It was a rough start to the day. Leave yourself extra time before you REALLY need the equipment...renter beware!

Make sure the information that the customer inputs online matches the information that is in your system. This cuts down on waiting time for both the customer and the business after all time is money. Moving can be a frustrating event and having the process to flow as smoothly as possible assists in reduction of stress levels. Usually a customer service representative does a walk around the Uhaul vehicle to document and or ensure that there is no damage to the rental vehicle and the renter has to sign off that they are in agreement, that did not happen this time, perhaps your policy changed???? I can't think of anything that could have made this experience better. I reserved a truck on line and on the day of my move I needed an additional truck. They were able to provide a truck and my move happened without a problem.

Nothing! Heather was fantastic under pressure. Busy morning at the branch and she had my details at hand and got me out the door in expedient fashion. I experienced some confusion regarding excess miles and she fixed the issues to my complete satisfaction within moments. Would highly recommend using U Haul!!

I am extremely unhappy with the experience I had picking up my truck the day of my move. I was not informed of the process to pickup the truck. I was unaware that 24/7 meant I had to create an account--get a special code--then get another code, to get the key. The call line was so busy, I was on hold for an hour--and still didnt get a live person. I got the process started on line but then it hung up on "approval needed"??? I had already checked in on line the night before with all of the information that I had to input again the morning of picking up the truck. There was another woman there to pickup a truck and also did not know anything about the process of getting the truck key. The location was closed of which I was not informed or I would've done something else. I will never use Uhaul again! And I will leave all kinds of negative reviews and referrals. Moving is a stressful experience to begin with and then to add all of these extra "hoops" to jump through just to get a truck! This was the worst experience I've ever had along with the worst customer service!! Pam Hubbard

The only improvement is with the scheduling location, first location provided wasn’t a pickup point even it was considered a pickup location based on your website, when I chose the location of choice I received a electronic notification for my rental but it was at a different location. When I notified my location of choice they explained that they didn’t have the size truck I requested but I was not told that at the time I had spoken with them over the phone. So I had to upgrade to a larger truck so I could pickup at the location of choice. Very frustrating. Overall the truck was fine once we got through the administrative aspect of the process!

I scheduled a time to pick up the U Haul. I traveled 3 hours and arrived between 9:00-9:05 only to be told that my U Haul was reassigned since I was late. I was that the next available U Haul would be in 2 hours. I returned in 2 hours and waited an additional hour for the return of the U Haul. After waiting an hour, I was given an different U Haul - the person was late returning my original U Haul. I am dissatisfied with having my U Haul reassigned with in a five minute range of my 9:00 a.m. time. I am also disappointed in the fact that I was never told that should I not be there promptly at ( a..m., my UHaul would be reassigned.

Had an issue with my reservation when I got there they had the truck I needed but couldn't find the key major time set back for me that's why I made the reservation for time I requested they where to get another truck from another location to get me on my way

Check your equipment prior to handing it out for someone to use. The car tow dolly I received was in poor condition, the plastic wheel well was broken and consistently kept trying to fly off of the dolly during my trip, I had to stop 4 times and spend approximately $20 to get ratchet straps and bungie cords to keep it from flying off. I will not be renting from U-Haul ever again.

Heather was very helpful, in spite of the fact that the terminal was down and she had to conduct most of the rental transaction using her cell phone. When trying to return the truck after hours, I had some difficulties with the website and had to call for assistance to help make a note about the return for those who would be in the office at 9am.

I was only 4 days late and I had to wait for pay day and still had to pay for another month. I couldn't even pay an partial rate instead of paying for a whole month of storage for an empty unit.

I rented this truck at 6:30pm on Wednesday and returned it 7pm on Thursday. I was charged for two days for some reason. The person working there on Thursday evening was there when I got there at 6:59pm and told me to just put the keys in the box. Does U-Haul typically charge the customer an extra day for no reason?

Told us we can get a trailer in Virginia Beach when got called none in local area had to travel 45 mins away to get it. The person had us looking at a next bigger size trailer then requested and found out none available. Need to have a way to rent a ball instead of buying outright

This is an awesome location. The person who maintains the equipment, my apologies, I cannot remember his name did an excellent job preparing the trailer for my daughter. He even fixed a last minute wiring issue on the trailer before we left with it. He is awesome and needs to be commended on his work. Thank you for such a great place. When our needs require a trailer or truck, this location will be the place.
