Teach the employees to check the equipment better. I was given a trailer with a hole in the roof that had been poorly sealed, trailer roll up door did not go all the way up and once I got it up it would drop about 4in. The rear corner caps were missing Rivets and one tire has 55lbs of air and the other had 23lbs. Over all not happy with this location which is sad being I worked there years ago and took pride in the work I did there! And don't even attempt the 800 number to report issues was on hold for 45 min before I gave up. Over all a waste of money for an enclosed trailer when everything got wet anyway!

I can't say that anything needs improving I rented a moving van type truck and just recently rented a car hauler trailer it was reasonably priced and well maintained I went a long way with it and had 0 trouble good company to rent from in the future

I had a good experience as far as the employees were concerned with helpfulness but I was highly unsatisfied with how after only driving 20 miles or so I had the oil light come on. And after calling the uhaul location I picked it up from all they said was to call the roadside assistance. After 5-6 hours of waiting they finally showed up and we had to get a hotel instead of driving it fully. Would definitely not be interested in using uhaul again. The only reason the rating isn't lower is because the employees themselves were pleasant but not having the vehicle's maintenance checked is highly unprofessional.

I reserved a truck for 830am. When I arrived, they tell me they didn't open until 9am. They put the open sign on at 840. Waited until 9:02 to open the door. Then made me go pull the truck out from where it was parked. I had to take down the sign out the window and squeeze out this tight spot. What happened to customer service.??????

I (and probably the employees too) thought the trailer just had leaves in it which is why I originally said it was clean. I figured the leaves would just blow out.. I picked up the trailer, got on the interstate and after 20 minutes, someone shot out the back window of my suv!! I got to my destination and found hundreds of roofing nails in the trailer. I'm guessing I got shot at because I must have been pelting cars with roofing nails. Long story short, you might want to make sure the trailers are actually clean. The rear glass is costing me $400 but there isn't much I can do about it right now.

I initially reserved a truck at the 7650 airline highway location only to discover after I arrived they had no truck available and the closest out of all of baton rouge was Hammond La some 40 + 85+miles round trip, out of the way, which put me in a serious bind. Courtesy of that and the poor customer service at that location, I will NEVER rent from uhaul again if I can help it and for sure I will not ever recommend uhaul to anyone.

Although I reserved my truck and equipment two weeks prior to my need date, I got a call the night before that said the truck was not available and would not be until noon the following day after I had reserved it. This completely threw off all of our moving plans and the help that was to be available. When we actually got there the day they said we could pick the truck up, the equipment was not available. Although I asked him to please call around to the other local U-Haul‘s to see if there's any available they told me they didn't have a phone number I'd have to look that up myself. Very horrible customer service, very horrible attitude, very unprofessional.

Cleaning a Uhaul truck while smoking a cigarette inside the cabin means its not Clean. We got sick while riding in the truck . Secondly you charge me $20 dollar extra because your APP is down. Not my fault. I would not be returning to this location or recommending anyone .

It took us 3 hours and a 45 minute phone call to your customer service center to rent the truck we had reserved for 9 am. Then once that issue was resolved this location was dishonest and rented us a truck with only 1/2 of gas and told us it was full. We brought it back full since they did not fix the paperwork. Whenwe returned it we were then hit with a cleaning fee as well because there was some dirt on the floorboard (it was muddy outside due to rain). We have always had a good experience (20 yrs) until now but this experience has left us disgusted and not really wanting to do business with this location again.

Ordered online for pickup in Hammond, Louisiana at midnight. On the way to pick up truck, I check email for check in instructions and I see that my rental was moved to pickup 7am next morning. Called 800 number to ask why, it was because my truck wasn't cleaned? What kind of BS is that? Also was told I'd have a credit for the 50$ t for y'all's guarantee but yet never even got the 50. Ordered uhaul until midnight the next night, woman at U-Haul in Hammond told me to have it back by 7. She was very rude to begin with, very agitated when I asked for things or about information. Truck was blowing hot air into cab, even with air condition on. If sweating moving things isn't enough, your U-Haul truck made the trip unbearable. Very disgusted with U-Haul.

I had to call this location to ensure this was the drop off location due to my online credentials with uhaul not working the second time I logged in (and the pickuplocationfailingto provide my paperwork). The staff was able and willing to assist me with this. Upon my arrival to this location, as I waited in line for my turn, I witnessed all employees who were assisting customers do so with absolute knowledge on their specific customers needs. They were kind, courteous and obviously knew how to help their customers best to meet their needs. In a time where customer service is lacking at best, it's refreshing to see such excellent customer service.

My experience was HORRIBLE !!! I ordered a week ahead of time and 30 min before I was to pick up received a call saying that there were no trucks available !!!! I had to go at least 50 miles out of my way back and forth and it cost me $45 in gas.

Extremely damaged bumper upon arrival to pick up the truck. I wasn't really worried about it but the headlight on the same side went in and out during the entire 10 + hour drive. Was pulled over by Grorgia State Trooper for questioning regarding the headlight. It made driving at night Extremely difficult and unsafe. I am assuming there is something loose due to the damage the truck suffered from a previous accident. Safety should be a #1 concern.

I'm a return customer and most of the time I have had pretty good service with Uhaul, But this time was different. I rented a 26' truck from Hammond Square Uhaul. I was told the truck was ready to go. This truck was was rented to drive one way over 100 miles to Mississippi. I had a storage unit that is located very close to the Uhaul business where it was rented. I drove the truck around the parking lot to my storage unit, then spent the afternoon loading it. After loading it, it was well after dark, I got on the interstate in the truck headed to Mississippi. The truck rode Terrible. It had some type of tire / axle issue that made it “Bump” the I entire way. I debated on stopping and calling Uhaul for assistance but with everything considered, I didn't. It was dark, Uhaul was closed, I had to reach my destination in a very timely manner. A lot of my personal stuff was damaged in route. I got the truck offloaded and returned it as promised in Mississippi . I reported this situation to the Uhaul rep. at the return destination. She promised to make a report and get back with me. This was two days ago and I have not heard anything from her. I have made several attempts to contact her but reach a voicemail. I would Really like to know why this truck was not inspected better. The uhaul container looked clean but all of my furniture had black marks and dust covering it all. Additionally, I turned in my uhaul at the exact level I received it at 1/4 tank. However, I was charged an outrageous $5 per gallon for 3 gallons of gas. Why must I be charged for bringing it to where it was at and why would it not be filled when I receive it?

Needed a large truck to move , I was told Hammond La location had the truck even though it was 22 miles outside of my area which meant an extra cost however when I arrived the truck was not there then later after deciding to get a smaller truck the truck arrived only to be told it was rent it to another customer I ended up having to make numerous trips with a smaller truck and incurred double fees Really poor service just be careful as their online reservation isn't always accurate

Not a comment about this facility. However I am terribly disappointed with the Laplace, La. 1221 W Airline hwy facility. I had a Trailor reserved for 0900. When I arrived at 0850 am I set until almost 0920 with no one available to fill my reservation. No one around not open for business. However the customer service 800 number was able to change my location rental only costing me about forty five minutes of wasted time.

The general manager and her staff was very friendly and so helpful! I give them excellent ratings! I am a manager as well of Academy Sports and Outdoors and I know how important positive rating are! But this team was more than great and needed to be called out for being so awesome!

Worst U-Haul experience ever. I'd ask for my money back if it didn't take up so much uselessness of my time just trying to communicate with such unprofessionalism. I'll never use uhaul again. I'd rather pay more for a better experience than to experience U-Haul again. And this is no exaggeration just about everyone I mention U-Hauls name to has nothing good to say about them as a company therefore indicating the poor customer service being given by this company to clients who spend their hard earned money to use their equipment and services.
