Original had reservation at 7747 hwy90w in San Antonio. Got there and they did not have the truck I had reservation for. They said it was due in. I waited for an hour only to find out there was no truck coming in. They said I could pick one up at the Grissom store. I had been dropped off so I had to wait for a ride to get to the other store. It was a one day rental so I probably paid for an extra 20 miles to get the truck from another location. The store at 7747 was totally unprofessional, they were all sitting around eating pizza, it was like an inconvenience for them to stop eating to help customers. I would not recommend that location to anyone. On the other hand Grissom road was excellent!Colin H.

The back of the truck had rocks under the bed liner every time I open the tailgate some rocks would fall. I ask the sales rep where was the drop box for the keys and he said it was by the column. I was late on returning the vehicle because I was looking for the drop box by the column, never found it, come to find out there is a hole on the front glass we're you drop the key into a cardboard box. I feel I should have not got penalize for being late. There was a pallet blocking the path to get to the counter. I would not recommend a friend to this store! Thank You, Jesse EspinozaJesus E.

Please check: When we make or you guys did reservations PLEASE save the right VAN,DOLLY or doesn't matter what is reserved for pick up. My case: RESERVATIONS for dolly and 10â€ truck van, then i got 15â€ foot truck and no dolly for me.. Whats the hell? For the first time ever, in 20 years my clear record history of reserving Uhaul, they asked me for a second contact person , and then I was asked for a third person contact number to confirm my identity, reasoning that people steal the Uhaul truck. The Grissom Road location has good staff and the manager there is responsive. Unfortunately, Uhaul as an organization is a hot mess. Customer service is confusing and horrible. You call a store, you get transferred nationally because the stores don't answer and get bumped from department to department. I had a major issue with the Rutland, Vermont location, and the Northeast division ghosted me completely. The regional manager had â€œjust stepped outâ€ or was â€œon a callâ€ or â€œnot in yetâ€ every time I called his office. Jerry the regional manager never called me. I lost $1,500 worth of items because I couldn't access my Uboxes because of the location not giving me access. They had no propane for the forklift for my appointment. Also, even though customer service said I could access my boxes until 5, the store refused me access after 4 on a separate occasion. Then, once's the boxes were moved, we wanted to access all our boxes and customer service only asked for one specific box to be brought out. The location almost couldn't accommodate bringing the other two boxes out and we had a 26 foot moving truck rented! Bad experience from start to finish.Sarah W.

Everything went great. But one thing that happened was that Miss Karen did not tighten the hitch. On driving it never came out which is good, but when I was removing the load the trailer went up off the ball and did major scratch work on my vehicle. Really ruined my day. I experienced a horrible encounter with the General Manager Martin Rhoades at Grissom location. He was very rude didn't care about the experience I had I rented a truck that broke down. But most of all I had a new build home that transmission fluid spilled all on my driveway. I asked for some compassion from the GM all he could reply is that whatever happened happened. The rental truck transmission went out. I am trying to get a full refund on the rental but they tell me I have to wait for 5 days. They are quick to take your money but are not quick to reimburse. I am a former investigative reporter and talk radio host, now retired. I just bought a home in my home town of San Antonio where I plan on living out the rest of my days. Two loaders from Danny's Helping Hand arrived at my apartment, in McAllen Texas, at approximately 11:30pm Thursday April 23rd. They both seemed nice enough, one of them named Isaac was a young man blistered with amazing tattoos, and both loves to talk everything about God and the written word, which was very interesting. At one point they even had us all holding hands as they prayed away my brother's ankle pains, and my back pains. I am 69 years old and live with my brother James who is 61. We both felt relaxed and unguarded in their presence as we were all working together loading up the U-Haul. One of the last items to be packed was my brothers 9mm pistol, which he removed from his night stand, inserted in a secure holster, and handed it to me, which I inserted in one of the last remaining boxes to be loaded onto the truck. The pistol was his Sig-Sauer 9mm pistol, model 2022. When Isaac, who claim to be the owner of Danny's Helping Hand, saw my brother holding the pistol, he offered to buy it for $300. My brother said no and handed me the gun, which once again, I placed in one of the last remaining boxes. After Isaac and his partner loaded the last remaining boxes on the truck, my brother and I remained in the apartment cleaning up. I tip these guys $140, and shortly after they left, I had a bad sinking feeling come over me. I rushed over to the back of the U-Haul to the box where the gun was stored, and sure enough the gun was gone. I called Isaac and he offered again $300 for the gun if he came back over to the U-Haul and found it. I did not agree but he did come back to pretend to look for the gun. It was obvious when he arrived, he was there to feel me out, suggesting that I just didn't remember what box I put the gun in, and joking about my old age, like I have dementia. Then he preceded over the next two days in texting me about his concerns, trying to convince me that I will find the gun, and that I will have to apologize, he is a man of faith, a man of God, therefore innocent. In my opinion and dealings with Isaac, he's a con-artist most likely preying on the elderly convincing others that old people have lost their minds. I would love to show you the various text messages where he uses the cover of God, a man of faith, but yet in some of his text messages he gives away his true identity, writes like street thug - â€œ why would I want that cheap Wall-Mart pistolâ€ â€œ I've got ton of gunsâ€ â€œyou're an old manâ€ and so on. The drop off has changed it used to be only dropping off keys. I dropped off at 7:30 pm and because the system was stuck on my phone and kept saying to turn location on I couldn't put it on my phone the time I dropped off. I thought it was frustrating. Very bad experience, even though I checked in on line I had to wait for about 30 to 45 minutes to get the rental and I had to scan my credit card 3 times I only hope I don't get charged twice . the wiring harness had a bear wire. The whole trip there were no running lights. As I was driving at night this was not good. I had mentioned to the guy when I picked it up the wire was bare and he said it was no problem. As he checked my lights I don't know if the running lights were working when I left. It always smells of mold in the building where my storage unit was. Above my unit was a hole in the ceiling (almost directly above my unit #5202) that leaked, and after time it got big. I needed help after hours and messaged the number given, which is supposed to be available after hours, the person responded that they can't answer any calls bow so u said we can text. As I'm new and have never come after hours, I didn't know where the check in box was and just needed some directions to locate the check in box. But no reply to text or calls. Was stranded because the chair I want to put in storage was too big for my car and someone had helped dropped it off. That night was not good and very frustrating. Facility is top-notch. Location of my units were not entirely convenient to parking but could have been much worse. No elevators must be very difficult for some people. Some staff were very helpful and friendly, such as Steven Leyva and Ruben (can't remember his last name but worked on Sunday 11/14/21 with Steven). Had an issue in my first unit; "making it right" seemed like an inconvenience to the GM and weekend manager rather than a customer service concern; it didn't make me feel good when I was trying my best to be understanding, but they didn't actually do anything wrong. I have no complaint about anyone or about the service or facility. I simply didn't need the service any longer. I made my move from out-of-state and chose Uhaul for the moving van and storage facility. First a system error double-booked me for a uhaul and storage unit which took me an hour on the phone to have resolved. But most importantly, my storage unit reservation was apparently overbooked by 5 other people for the same unit, which left me without the proper sized storage unit once I got to the destination city. I had to go look for another unit at a third-party location and was not offered a solution or discount by uhaul. Not being reliable at the end of a giant move like this forces me to give them a 1 star review.Justin C. | First Impressions

Having been with the facility for an extended time since returning to SA, the opportunity to interact with various employees was considered for this review. As a general rule, the "line" employees were always helpful and friendly. I interacted with two (2) managers during the timeframe - neither of whom displayed acceptable customer service skills. I have to assume that my experience was related to the facility being understaffed. It appeared to me that when we came in and rented a storage unit and tried to rent a truck, there were workers that were either too lazy to do anything, or had actually clocked out but were still in the building, in sight of customers. The manager was in such a rush that it was impossible for us to fully understand what was happening and retain the information being presented. The next day when i picked up the truck, it turned out that whereas I thought i had rented the truck, i had only reserved it. When I returned the truck, I waited fifteen minutes for someone to show up and check the truck in. No one ever did. When I went to the Installation Bay, the fellow there was borderline rude, but was clearly belligerent in issuing instructions for me to wait in the truck and someone would be right out. Well, first off, I have a high level of education and have worked professionally as someone who writes for a living. I had read the sign and remembered having been told when renting the truck to wait with the vehicle. However, there is a limit to waiting. After dealing with Grizzly Adams and his attitude, I returned to the truck, waited another fifteen minutes, and when still no one had shown up, I started toward the sales floor to ask again, just how long I was supposed to wait. This time, there was a fellow walking out toward the check-in area, and I asked him if he was the checkin person. He said yes, but then he listed off three or four other things he had to do before he could get to me. He said if i wanted, i could just leave the keys in the truck--which I did. However, I DID take videos of the truck interior and exterior as well as the instrument panel, gas gauge, mileage, etc. While this will not keep me from doing business with UHaul again, I will certainly take a book or laptop and movie with me next time.jason s. | First Impressions

The storage facility was not controlled temperature as it stated. It was almost 100 degrees in the storage rental when I opened it. It was much cooler when I checked out. The gentlemen that helped us were very informative, kind and understanding! My fiancee's friend who is like family, moved to san antonio last minute for a job and going through a divorce.
