Drop off location was not included in the contract at the pickup location; although, this was brought to the attention of the U-Haul personnel. On Line: Drop off location was set up as U-Haul in Shawnee OK @ 2323 N Harrison Street. The contract as printed out at the Grissom Road location was to be dropped off at U-Haul in Seminole OK -- greater than 30 miles away from family location.BARRY K.

Try putting oil in the trucks. The one I picked up had no oil. I spent 3 hours and 36 minutes total on hold it took from 7:30am until 4:30 pm to bring another truck. Lost 8 hours.MARGARET C.
Call to Let me know if my vehicle won't be available before I arrive so I don't need to drive across town to a new location. If I do need to drive across town to a new location, offer me a discount on the price per mile. I chose the original location to minimize the mileage I needed to drive so the change in location led to me paying more for the rental than I'd planned.ANNE S.

There was nothing wrong with the truck or the customer service. The only problem that I find a little ridiculous is the excessive amount of charges. There's obviously a charge to rent the truck and that's fine it's expected. But then you guy's want to charge to use the truck, per mile with gas that will be paid for by us. Then you want to charge to use the dolly and another charge for the blanket seriously? What next a charge to use the windshield wipers? You guys have to calm down with all these cash crabs.Patrick S.

Drop destination provided by u haul refused to take the trailer. Therefore had to travel to a further location and drop off after hours. I called customer service and they confirm a u haul location can refuse to take in trailers. This is outrages, I was totally inconvenienced and mislead by u haul. My overall experience was extremely poor! At 2pm CST I went onto the site and I reserved the pickup of a van and appliance dolly at 2:15pm CST at a location that the site specifically said was available, which is why i selected it. When I got to the location, I was informed that my reservation had NOT been assigned to him yet. He suggested I call and and while waiting on hold to go to the large U-Haul location. So I drove to that location while waiting on hold. When I arrived, I was informed they were booked out through the weekend. At this point it was 10 minutes past my reservation time 3:40pm CST and I had wasted and hour of my time. I was returning home and on the phone canceling my appliance pickup when I was sent a text at 3:45pm CST, 15 minutes past my reservation time, to go to another location for the pickup of the van and dolly as they were ready and awaiting my arrival. At this point I was beyond irritated and dissatisfied. Needing to get this done I went. Upon arrival I was informed that there were no appliance dollies even though I had the text confirmation that it was ready. As you can imagine this made unloading the appliances at the destination a problem. So again, terrible experience from the start. Driving to 3 different locations around the 6th largest US city, not getting the notification for the correct location until 15 minutes after my reservation time, and then not having the equipment that I reserved. I will certainly re-think using U-Haul in the future.TYRONE W.

I made a reservation to pick up my equipment at the Eckertt location. I did not receive a confirmation call 24-48 hours prior. I had to call and confirm. I was assured my 15 foot truck and auto transport were ready and waiting at Eckertt. Turns out the only auto transport they had on the lot needed a police report and the traffic department was unavailable to help. I had to pick up the auto transport from the Grissom location. I was told by the Eckertt location GM Martin Alcala that I would be receiving a $50 reservation guarantee for having to go to a different location. Still have not seen a credit for $50 on my card. I never received my 12 moving blankets but I was charged for them. I would like that money back as well.Ethan E.

My entire experience was AWFUL. Moving is already a stressful situation. Uhaul made it ten times worse than it already was. They made me downgrade the truck because they didn't have it even tho it said available on the website. They changed my reservation time three times and then locations but sent me updates THE NIGHT BEFORW TO TELL ME IT WAS AT ONE LOCATION WHEN IT WAS AT ANOTHER. It said it had dollies and furniture dollies available on the website then when I GOT TO THE LOCATION IT DID NOT. I had to pay my moving team MORE because of all this. We moved across country. Reserved a truck a month and a half in advance and then a week before we are told there are no trucks. This caused us to go the more expensive route of uboxes. We moved into our new house and had to continue to live out of suitcases for 2.5 weeks because our boxes did not show up on time. Then the boxes got selected for manual unloading and not delivered to our new house so we had to go through the ringer to get them delivered which cost us even more money.Brandon E.

My experience with U-Haul during this rental wasn't as great as my last one a few weeks ago. I made a reservation online and requested for a furniture mover about 3 days before my move and also wanted the pick- up to be contact less but it didn't happen that way. Their was no furniture mover like I requested and the key to the rental was not in the lock box. I was forced to go inside and wait in line. While I was there waiting I was noticing everyone was working and doing there job but it was hard to tell if someone was in charge or if a manager was on duty. I'm 65 yrs old, maybe can't tell these days with the mask an all but I was told to go unhook my car and take it off the Dolly and then he would be out to take the Dolly off the car. I didn't think much of the service. I would have preferred a more customer service kind of attitude... (Like give me a second and I'll be right out to take care of that for you) I went out and unhooked the tire straps and got the ramps pulled out when he did come out and remind me about the safety chains and then removed them for me. They went above and beyond my expectations. My experience at this location was one I will tell for years to come. From the boss man, desk tech's and everyone in between. I was so impressed with their customer service, patience, and kindness. My car would not start and we could not get it off the item that pulled the car. They worked with me until it was resolved with a smile. They offered me water and told me not to worry. Because of them, I was able to laugh until everything was taken care of.JANET D.
We had a hard tome with getting the truck.. Then when we get the truck it had a bad smell like a combination of sweat and sagar smoke. The head light was dimming like it was going out. There is one specific guy that always wants to check the brakes lights on return, this is a waste of customer's time, i doubt you have a system that keeps track of all that, and light checking is performed at departure anyway. Having been with the facility for an extended time since returning to SA, the opportunity to interact with various employees was considered for this review. As a general rule, the "line" employees were always helpful and friendly. I interacted with two (2) managers during the timeframe - neither of whom displayed acceptable customer service skills. The facility was spotless and easy to navigate with my truck and trailer and the staff went above and beyond in customer service. I have to assume that my experience was related to the facility being understaffed. It appeared to me that when we came in and rented a storage unit and tried to rent a truck, there were workers that were either too lazy to do anything, or had actually clocked out but were still in the building, in sight of customers. The manager was in such a rush that it was impossible for us to fully understand what was happening and retain the information being presented. The next day when i picked up the truck, it turned out that whereas I thought i had rented the truck, i had only reserved it. When I returned the truck, I waited fifteen minutes for someone to show up and check the truck in. No one ever did. When I went to the Installation Bay, the fellow there was borderline rude, but was clearly belligerent in issuing instructions for me to wait in the truck and someone would be right out. Well, first off, I have a high level of education and have worked professionally as someone who writes for a living. I had read the sign and remembered having been told when renting the truck to wait with the vehicle. However, there is a limit to waiting. After dealing with Grizzly Adams and his attitude, I returned to the truck, waited another fifteen minutes, and when still no one had shown up, I started toward the sales floor to ask again, just how long I was supposed to wait. This time, there was a fellow walking out toward the check-in area, and I asked him if he was the checkin person. He said yes, but then he listed off three or four other things he had to do before he could get to me. He said if i wanted, i could just leave the keys in the truck--which I did. However, I DID take videos of the truck interior and exterior as well as the instrument panel, gas gauge, mileage, etc. While this will not keep me from doing business with UHaul again, I will certainly take a book or laptop and movie with me next time.jason s. | First Impressions

The storage facility was not controlled temperature as it stated. It was almost 100 degrees in the storage rental when I opened it. It was much cooler when I checked out. Towed trailer from Lemon Grove, CA to Leon Valley, TX. Pick up location was a terrible experience from installing trailer hitch to renting trailer. The gentlemen that helped us were very informative, kind and understanding! My fiancee's friend who is like family, moved to san antonio last minute for a job and going through a divorce.
