Krissy & Ronesha were some of most helpful ladies at this Uhaul location on multiple occasions no matter what the wind blew my way. Being from out of town, this was the first place I secured to store my things and I must say I'd never go to another location. They were friendly, amazingly resourceful and presented a customer friendly atmosphere that made me feel welcomed. I am unhappy because I am being ask to pay over $1400 for a claim through U-Haul from Repwest. This claim is untrue I did no damage to a truck that I had for 10 hold minutes. I picked up the truck and trailer at 11:00 AM EST on June 5th and returned the items on June 5th at 3:15 PM EST. I was told to not worry about anything when dropping them off and my receipt would be emailed to me. When I received the receipt via email on June 6th, I was overcharged by a large amount. When I looked at the details, I noticed that I was being charged for a second day and it stated that I returned the items on June 6th. I tried to call to inquire, but was not able to get through. I then had to drive up to the location where the apologized and said that the overcharged amount would be credited back to me, in 3-5 business days. I was also told I would be emailed an updated receipt. When I did not receive my updated receipt, I called back again and had to wait on hold for quite a long time. When I finally got through, I was told that the overcharges had been reversed, but that I would not be receiving an updated receipt as that is not how it is handled in the system. I will wait the 3-5 business days to make sure the overcharge is removed from my account, but if it isn't, I will dispute the charges with my credit card company.Andrew S.

I whould say put a step on trucks my body still hurt just from climbing in an out the truck I took my step from home an tied it to a string so I could get out an in truck other then that everything was GREAT! !!!!!!MICHELLEANTOINET S.
The truck had a window that was not secured. The window came out of the frame while being driven on the interstate. My husband had to control the vehicle while trying to keep the window from blowing out. You could tell it had been taped. The window handle was missing a part. Thought the $20 fee for doing overnight drop off for a $30 trailer rental was quite excessive!! I've rented equipment from UHaul many times over the years and have never been charged a fee for drop off. I am a Real Estate agent and referral many clients as well. May be looking elsewhere for future rentals and referrals.THOMAS W.

I reserved a truck about a month ago. For context I'm in the military, move a lot and there's a lot of planning that goes in to these events. I made the reservation for a location in Elizabeth City , NC near where I live. The day prior to pickup I was called by U-Haul to confirm but told I needed to pick the truck up in South Mills, NC because that was where â€œthe truck was returned to.â€ Given it was no further for me I didn't think this was a big deal. I got off work to go pick it up at closing but when we arrived there was no 26' truck ( the size I needed and had reserved). This started a chain of stress that I really didn't need prior to a big weekend of moving a fair distance (NC to NH). When I called U-Haul no one could give me a satisfactory answer as to what happened or how it occurred. A truck was located about an hour away and for that I'm thankful but getting told to go somewhere else than I planned and then finding no truck there is unsatisfactory.Matthew F.

This was our fourth time using this location since September 2019. I love that I can reserve equipment online (too many add-ons being offered though) but I absolutely dread going in and talking to the staff: everyone is always miserable, doesn't seem like they want to be there (returning equipment is always unorganized) and today was definitely the worst encounter of them all! I checked in online but when I was called to the counter in the most unfriendly manner, I was repeated the same information all over again - when I wanted to double check the total that I had seen with what the clerk said, he rudely said that I didn't look at the total after taxes ( i wasn't questioning anything) - thanks for making me feel like an idiot. Then he asked if I added the credit card - I informed him that I was asked about it when I was first putting in the reservation(shouldn't the staff know this?) This clerk never smiled, not once; highlighted the numbers on the paper and handed them to me saying that was the only information I needed to know. It blows my mind that the experience is so impersonal: we rent a truck or van to buy furniture for the house, thus we are always low on mileage, return equipment refueled and have never been back after hours, yet each time we have to go through the warnings...I, honestly, would rather start saving to buy my own used truck than go back to this uhaul again!Yekaterina R.

My reservation I was told, was given away even though there was another or the same truck on the property. I had tried to call to verify the pickup time previously but couldn't reach anyone. I received the truck on E with no gas I had to fill up for almost $100 twice then when I returned it I get charged for not having a quarter tank. I believe that was so absurd. Rating is about my storage units: Office and grounds were clean. Staff was helpful. I would HIGHLY recommend the storage units be inspected before renting. Some of my items got wet / mold due to the unit next storage (according to office mgr. heavy rain.) My unit also had loose insulation hanging down. I needed to inspect the units (3) before renting. After reserving our storage unit AND calling twice the day we were arriving once we arrived we were told there wasn't a unit available. We were told that since we didn't work directly with this facility they couldn't guarantee there would be anything available. I explained that while we didn't work directly with this facility the UHaul person that was helping us did in fact work directly with Corban at this facility when the reservation was made. After well over an hour they found a unit for us but there was no sense of urgency, there was very little communication as to what was happening. We had 3 carloads of people waiting to help us unload the truck as this was the first night of the holiday weekend and everyone had plans for the weekend but still there was no sense of urgency. In addition to that once we got the truck unloaded at pulled it out front it was 8:12 PM and the two remaining employees were getting ready to leave but because it was 12 minutes after closing they weren't interested in actually helping me get the truck checked in. They they told me if I couldn't figure it out they would check it in the next morning for a $20. fee! I did not get the vehicle checked in on line as the email I rec'd didn't have a link to do so so I took pictures of the truck, mileage and gas gauges and dropped the keys in the drop box. I was not charged the $20 fee thankfully but the entire experience once arriving at the Greenbrier facility was not good at all. Also, there was another customer there who had made a reservation and taken time off work to be at her appointment at the Greenbrier facility and she was told her reservation wasn't available either. Same story, she worked with a UHaul Rep that answered the phone for the Greenbrier facility after being on hold for 25 minutes and made her reservation for her. The employee's said that the system in place doesn't work because it doesn't accurately depict what is available it's just a guesstimate and that UHaul counts on people not showing up so they overbook. I feel like that's a terrible way to run a storage business when people are moving and counting on their reservations. I will tell you that our experience when returning our first truck and talking with Corban was extremely pleasant and informative and Corban was very attentive and helpful quite unlike the employee's when we arrived with a full 26' truck...Karen D. | First Impressions
