I'd highly suggest you take pictures of the gas tank before you leave for proof as I was charged 15$ for gas even after I filled it to 5/8 which is the return requirement.Kayla S.

No one called me before I wasn't charged an extra fee for returning it. They called me after the time limit. And the truck has previous damage that was not recorded. Plus there was no clear deadline when I had to return the truck. It said anytime on that day. Turns out it had to be before three even though the location does not close at the time. They called me after five and did not inform me of the extra charge because I told them I was on my way. When I got there they charged me an additional $58. I have always had a great experience with U-Haul, but this was the most alarming and unsafe experience I have ever had. The cargo van I rented was filthy. There were food crumbs inside, and I couldn't see at all out of the back windows. When I initially turned the van on, it had 0% oil life and the tire pressure light on. I went back to the office and requested someone check the tire because I had estimated that I would be driving the van 80 miles. I was told that â€œthe sensors are sometimes faulty, but the tire looks fine.â€ So I left, but from looking at the van settings, found that my right rear tire was at 53psi when it should have been at 80psi. I then had to stop in the middle of my move to fill this tire up. I also noticed that both the left and right blinker lights were quickly flashing- which normally indicates the lights should be changed. It was then brought to my attention that neither of the rear blinkers were flashing and neither of the rear break lights were working. I then had to use my left arm hanging out the window as a turn single in the 30 degree weather to indicate to traffic where I was going. I could have very easily of been rear ended. This was an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience.Teresa J.

I rented a uhaul for Saturday morning in which my 1230 rental was bumped until 3pm. This made me unable to move the items I needed as I was under a time crunch. I called customer service after being unable to reach 7 location to see if any had equipment for rent, and the main customer service line was extremely brash and rude. When I asked why I was bumped, she said that the equipment wasn't available at the location I requested, so then I asked why I was able to make a reservation if there was no equipment available she said thats what happens when you do it the morning of.Michael T.

My experience with uhaul I gave a 4 only because I spent 3 hours in there the lady over the phone in the call center told me she gave me the biggest storage unit they have which was not true I couldn’t even fit my furniture in.
