The reservation got Canceled!!!! By whom? Why? Not very good service or confidence builder. The local staff was able to pull up the original reservation and process it correctly. The truck I rented was a 26 footer. It desperately needs a front end alignment because the steering wheel isn't straight, and it was a chore to drive due to slack in the steering system. At 45 mph it shakes violently. Uhaul should do a better job of maintaining their fleet. Cab was clean.SEAN C.

I had an exterior wall unit & the climate control was not adequate in that space. Despite signs that said the building was sprayed for pest control I regularly saw bugs (including cockroaches) around the building. I found termite wings in my unit also. Everytime I went to my unit there was dirt in the loading/unloading area. The lighting was fine in the hallways, but the outdoor & unit lighting is poor and with cameras only on the doors of the buildings, not inside, I believe it is sub-par for security. Finally, the repeated rent increases were the last straw and I changed to a new storage facility.MaryAnn L. | Overall Experience

I've rented several Uhauls in my life, and this was the oldest truck yet, with over 100k miles on it. When hauling a full load around, I would have felt better in a truck with lower mileage. Also, I have an issue with the way you handle the dolly charges. I rented an appliance dolly. I did not need a regular dolly. I did not know a regular dolly would be in the truck, and have a plastic zip tie that when broken would lead to a charge. I accidentally knocked the dolly with something I was putting in the truck and the tie broke. I explained this to the person at the Uhaul place when I returned the truck. She said unfortunately we have to charge you if the tie is broken. I let her know I rented the other dolly for a reason, I did not want the other dolly, and that I was aware of the tie, and had broken in by accident. Still got charged for it. That is unacceptable. First, don't have a piece of equipment in the truck I didn't ask for, and don't have it in place with a flimsy tie that can break easily when knocked into. This seems like a racket to me. I am sure Uhaul makes a decent amount of extra money simply by charging for the dolly that got accidently knocked, If the dolly had not been there to get knocked into - I would not have broken the tie! Do not put something there that can cause this scenario, and then charge me for it!Michael M.

The problem i had I couldn't get into my storage because they had a big mobile home blocking the entrance to the storage. The workers said it's nothing they can do. I'm paying $205 a month where I'm having problems with getting into my storage. I had to walk my furniture into the storage couldn't pull up to the storage cause it was blocked. But they did offer me a smaller storage unit. Really how a 4 bedroom house of furniture going fit in a smaller unit. If the mobile home is still there Friday I will remove my belongings and get a storage unit at Acadia storage i shouldn't have this problem when I'm paying for services I'm not getting. The pickup was extremely fast and easy - but the return was UNBELIEVABLY FAST AND EASY!! The attendant was outside waiting, I pulled up, and he verified my info, asked if there were any problems, informed me of my total charges, asked how I'd like to receive the receipt, unhooked the trailer and DONE. I waited a total of 30 minutes from the time I got to the U-Haul storage storefront to get into my storage unit. I had to pay the movers for this time because of the poor management at the desk. There was one women there and she was juggle 3 phones calls while trying to check me into my reservation. She was going back and forth to each call helping everyone at the same time(including me) but the problem was that she was only giving each customer a small portion of her time which meant we all had to wait an extra long time. Honestly, I should have been priority because I was physically there and I had a reservation. Having to pay the movers more money for U-Hauls problems made me the most angry. It cost me $35 extra dollars that I paid to the movers. I would like to be refunded this money from U-Haul since it was U-Haul's poor customer service that led to me spending that money. I have been renting from U-Haul for years and have spent $1,000's of dollars here, but this experience makes me want to go elsewhere.Samuel B. | First Impressions

I am interested in maybe getting a lager size after she explained that it's possible to upgrade to a larger unit when it becomes available. I misunderstood - thought I was getting one month free with a truck rental but she explained that because the truck was not a one way drop-off it was not qualified. Even though I cleared out my unit and returned the eguiptment 3 days prior to the next billing cycle she would not refund my deposit or future payment. When I spoke with a customer service representative they said they would resolve the matter. When it was time to pickup my furniture, it had been ran through in my boxes items thrown around looking for valuables and brand new items were stolen down to kitchen towels and glass crafted beveled mirrors. My lock was cut and they put their own lock on it hoping I would not be able to access entry and the rest would be auctioned.
