Professional and easy. Friendly and clean
The guy that worked with me was the most professional person! I was standing in line and he was giving updates on my rental, while helping a very nice elderly lady. I don't know if it's training or just his general kindness, but I will be using Uhaul moving forward for all storage and moving situations, because of him!
Arrived 6am and my access card would not let me in. Manager arrived late, and still would not unlock unit 3 door to get my car in to load a few things in my car. Arrived another time at 7am and unit door 3 would not open, broke but no note stating so. Both times created extra steps and time I couldn't afford to waste.

Tech did not correctly attach trailer. He did not secure the hitch to the ball receiver. We almost had a 3 car accident when the trailer jumped the ball and the trailer went sideways... This serious omission could have cost us all serious money if I could not have controlled the situation in damages and possible personal injury. If you are going to force the staff to attach to vehicle and take that liability on you should increase your "basic" training. Ultimately, we got lucky.
I would have left 5 Stars. The reason I didn't because I was asked if needed insurance and I said No. however, the box was pre-checked to accept and move on with the rental agreement form. I feel that I was cheated out of $14.00 dollars for insurance I didn't need. When I called to dispute the charge, I was told there is nothing they can do about it. Improve your service by changing your rental agreement to reflect the choice of the customer. Do not pre-check any of the boxes to trick the customer into accepting services they don't need.
Kimberly Sullivan... is by far the BEST asset to your facility. PLEASE let her know. The most traumatic experience of my life was so much better with her support. THANK YOU KIMBERLY!!!
This is a Well-oiled operation. Fast, easy, and professional.
Absolutely great staff and customer service. Miss Judy was extremely helpful as well as the other lady with her. The outdoor lady/dispatcher was also very helpful and professional. This location is similar to ybor office in service. Other locations, take notes.

On first look everything was fine, on second inspection while moving there was a ton of food trash and cigarettes under and behind the seats. The condition of the engine is horrible on the truck I rented. It was basically screaming at me every time I pushed the gas. I think this truck should be taken to a shop and looked at because it was spotty at best.
Make sure the customers are aware that if they are a little past the six hours which I was, they would be charged For an additional full day of rental. I had the truck returned that same evening and they charged me for two days rental when I had it for eight hours. Very disappointed.

I was charged 20.00 fee for after hours drop off because the app would not access my location. I did bring it back clean and with more fuel than I took it out with brought back early. But because the app wouldn't display my location I was charged a convenience fee .I called right as they opened and I was already charged out
The overhead bunk had a leak in it so some of our boxes got wet over night.
Guy at counter was very good.
The staff was exceptional very helpful and always available when I needed them.
Great service. Todd was the manager at the Gandy blvd when we start using U-haul services for our business. He made it very easy for us to start our service at the beginning and continue through the two or more years we where there. We will continue to use other products U-haul offer.
I rented from you guys for about 7 days you charged my card already on top of that I got a bill for $581. The gas was returned more than what the contract stated and the mileage was off as well. Another thing i was told was that since i left and didn't open the app on my phone when I returned the truck basically it was my fault and their was nothing they could do about the money now if their was anything wrong on their end. Whe. You check the vehicle in Their is a man that does it with you on his phone why that is not right that you cannot do anything about it once the vehicle's is checked back if theirs a mistake on your behalf. I was over charged fee's that were added on and I was unaware of when I rented the truck and when I did the check with the guy he didn't understand why I was bieng charged extra for gas I was told I would not be charged for the gas, when I get home i look at my reciept and I see I am bieng charged for the gas even when I was told I wouldn't so I called the corporate and spoke with a representative and told I would be contacted In a few days and then I called the location where I dropped it off and they said that I had to go back in and shop the contract I will be going in tomorrow. But I think it is a shame how at this time you are preying on people wheb we are bringing you business. Another thing I asked was what about the charges that I have on my account they add up to almost 400 already will I only bw charges 140 more? That doesn't make sense, and honestly my experience during the 7 days and how I was treated the day of the return was not what I would have expected from a company that works from state to state and at this store customer service needs to be worked on.
The company needs to do a better job of cleaning the vehicles after use. These vehicle are always filthy. We used wet wipes to wipe everything down when we got in the vehicle and they ended up brown. that is disgusting

have been a customer multiple times over the years. I do appreciate that you will get good service and equipment from the members at the Gandy location. And actually I have had the same good service from more than one U-Haul location
William Saunders was our helper when we returned our truck and he was really great! Very personable and friendly!

Clean out loose debris from previous rentals.
Make sure the vehicle doesn't smell like someone smoked in it .

Everything was so well laid out for the equipment return that all we had to do was drive up. We were met at the car and someone disconnected the trailer. Very easy and no issues!

I'm not saying it wasn't already a fast pickup process, but if the truck and the key pickup were closer and ready to go, it would have been even easier and contactless. I did have to find the truck then go inside and ask about my key and they weren't sure where exactly it was. And then sent me outside to find someone and he brought me the key a couple minutes later. No complaints about how my experience went. Just could have improved efficiency.
Customer service was amazing in checking in & checking out! Trucks are a little run down, especially when you have to drive a distance.

The trailer we rented leaked and a lot of our belongings were soaked upon arrival.

I love renting storage units and moving trucks from this U Haul facility. They never disappoint. Great staff! They are very accommodating! Will always try them first!
All employees should understand the basics of driving the trucks so that customers can pull out of the parking lot. Managers should clearly let their employees know a van has to be in M2 drive mode or it won't go above 30. The typical person who doesn't regularly drive vans/trucks won't know this. The employees on that day didn't know it either. By the 3rd truck and 45 min late to my destination “I†figured it out around 4 miles from the location while simply fiddling in frustration that I couldn't get above 30 mph. It was no fault of the young workers and all fault to management who must've poorly trained them. This was a basic flick of a button that should be clearly explained to a customer. They kept sticking me in new vehicles so clearly they didn't know of it either.
Honestly, I can't conceive of anything y'all could do in addition or better ... I'm extremely thrilled with the service and over-joyed by the performance of the U-Box, U-Haul staff on both ends (Tampa and San Antonio)! My experience with U-Haul has been SUCH A HUGE and vast improvement over that with PODS for which I can't thank you enough!

Your 5 x 8 open trailer is not 5' wide. It is only 52" inside. This is false advertising. Fix it and be honest...call it 4 x 8.
Take some time to lubricate roll up door rollers, hinges on doors and sweep them out.

My unit leaked. I reported it by phone months ago. They assured me it would be taken care of. When I went back to the storage unit yesterday the leak was still there and my belonging Now had mold and water stains and furniture was damaged. Ended up putting it all in the donate section ( mattress and box spring, fabric lawn chairs and a old wooden desk). Water damage and mold. Awful. Maintain your roof better. I stored these thing for over two years at 180.70 a month and I lost it all. Wasted my money for what?? Very disappointing

The security card Iwas given would not unlock and set off alarms. Staff including manager were going to call and reset it. Did not work tonight at after hours. Being charged for a unit I have no access to
Waited in line for over 30 min just to get the storage unit that was already reserved. Facility is nice but WAY overpriced. Will never use again.

My only concern was that the U-Haul staff were not wearing masks while waiting on customers. Luckily my son and I did have our masks. Otherwise, they were extremely helpful.

I would recommend they get their own insurance, which U Haul requires. At first, I had the U Haul insurance. There was a roof leak and a bunch of my stuff got ruined. This was on a Sunday.. When I tried to make a claim with RepWest, U Haul's insurance carrier, they would not pay me because there were no photos of the damage. At the time of the damage, when I went to the clerk in the office, she didn't know what to do and suggested I wait and speak with the manager the following day--he didn't know what to do either. If you require insurance, you should do your job when there is a loss.
Never any problems. You also kept the monthly fee close to the original price.
It took longer than I expected waiting for get finished with all the information you needed.

If I could give less than 0 stars I would, absolutely horrible customer service. I have called 3 times and still have no response, I keep getting told the manager will call me. I rented the storage unit 2 weeks ago, I’m already having major issues since day 1. I called for the 3rd time today, the customer service representative laughed at me. I find that extremely unprofessional, I am not sure what they look for in the employees. During these uncertain times, with unemployment being so high I am sure there are better applicants to hire. Supposedly the calls are recorded so I would really hope they would review the call and make it a coaching opportunity. I am still waiting for the general manager Todd Rarick to contact me. I work in financial sales, and understand the value of great customer service which this company lacks. I would never recommend anyone to rent from this facility. This has truly been a disaster. I rather pay more money and rent somewhere else.
This was my sister’s storage. There were a lot of things I needed to throw away. They told me it was going to cost me $10 to throw that stuff away. Ok. Acceptable. Then they told me I had to bag it up! Ok, still acceptable. THEN they told me it was going to cost me $10 PER BAG!! UNACCEPTABLE! That was the only thing I didn’t like! I got rid of the storage unit simply because I don’t need it. I’m going to be throwing away a lot of it. I have to do it at home.

The reason I am leaving poor feedback is even after I spent $$$ for doing a move from MI to FL using Uhaul equipment I was FORCED into renting a storage. Not right to treat repeat customers like this.

The check in/out process was not fully explained, so I set off the alarm multiple times and I was not able to get in after hours until another customer explained how to do it.

CONFIRMED reservation not honored. "Express Check-In over 1/2 hr. Offered unit with stair access ONLY. Doesn't work for 70 yr old woman. Just didn't care. GM refused call. Cried all night.
Storage is too expensive, no elevator to second level, very poor lighting. Local competitor is half the price, for a larger and taller space, with better lighting, and two elevators. Good bye!

I had my storage unit for three years. It was affordable, clean, and convenient to where I was living. My monthly payment was automatically paid using the credit card I gave them.
Counter person was great
Only negative is the 7pm close for a regular customer. Not worth paying more for extended hours but maybe regular rate could be 8pm. Otherwise everything great.

Appreciate the cleanliness of the facility
It felt like I was in hades even in the winter because there’s no air flow and no lighting in the storage units and the fact that your temperature was set on 80 degrees year round.
It was a lightning strike that kind of made it so access was I'm available during the after hours for a couple weeks of the than that it was great

My only concern was those that were not swiping their key to deactivate their units. So the alarm was constantly going off when someone opened their unit.

Outdoor staff unfriendly and parking lot had way too many trucks, trailers, etc. where it became hard to navigate. Not a lot of places to park to unload truck at unit.
I recently changed units due to my resident location. I noticed that the U-Haul climate controlled area is much hotter than my new climate controlled area. That is my only recommendation for change.

U-Haul experience was acceptable once I arrived, but not so when I made all the arrangements on line and by phone for my son to be the proxy on my way back to town.
Many new storage facilities have opened in and around the U-Haul location and at a much much lower cost. The U-Haul facility is old and dirty and very expensive and you just raised rates.

Our U-Box was delivered and picked up again on time from friendly and helpful staff. We did not visit this facility. The box had a hole punched into the side of the box inroute and water stained boxes

Both our U-Box Delivery drivers were friendly and professional and gave us great customer service.
I rented 3 U-box in NYC to move to Sun City Center, Florida. All the facilities that I dealt with were clean, the staff was very accommodating, and I was happy with the personal service.

Great staff - My Ubox was too low to the ground when hooked up to my Nissan Rogue. We decided to have it delivered to my home instead. They delivered in a timely manner and picked up the empty box.

We used U-Box containers that were shipped to, and delivered to us from this location. Our delivery driver was a pleasure to work with. Friendly, hard working and personable. No visit to facility.

My only complaints are with the call in center. Long wait times to speak with someone, then being transferred multiple times to speak with another person to arrange pickup of U Box.
With the exception the pod was 2 days late, all the rest of experience was great. I am retired, so it was not too inconvenient, but if I was working I probably would be upset.

Apparently you limit words. But your facility was awful from the beginning and I will never use uhaul again.

This facility has extremely poor customer service. Our U Box delivery driver arrived late and when we expressed our concerns to both her and the manager, they were rude and unhelpful.
Ubox made this moving experience the worst I’ve had in 23 years of military moves. No central communication. Call center after call center.
Absolutely horrible! On hold for over 1 hour. Delivery of boxes was almost 2 hours late from end of window with no one calling me. refund should be given. Totally unexceptable.

I could not say one negative thing about the team that I dealt with. In an unfortunate situation at a bad time in my life, the team showed nothing but professionalism, compassion and understanding.

My 26 year old was yelled at and told to stop talking by Jamaican woman in office after we explained that we were on phone over 3 hrs trying to find out what’s going on, account wasn’t accepting zip
The only area I felt needed improvement was the wait time when I had a question. EVERY single time I had to stand in line it was a MINIMUM of 25 minutes. The staff was very friendly and capable.
