I understand this location was having difficulty due to short staff. I waited a long time in line. When I came up to the register I provided my reservation number. We went through the entire process. We drove away with the tow, which was hooked onto our truck by the employee, he took a photo but never mentioned anything about us taking photos. This is the first time ever that I rent something from U-Haul. When we delivered the tow, we were trying to get charged for a chain which was placed incorrectly. The employee when we can back tried to say that we had removed the chain, which we did not. We had no Tim, no knowledgeable and no interest in removing or unhooking the tow. Unfortunately,even though I received a text link to take photos, i didn't know I had to.no one mentioned anything about this link. So i did not know I had to, I did not know there was this link. It was dumb of me but being that this is my first time, I had no idea. Fortunately they did not charge me extra for the change. But I'm reality, this was a horrible first experience. Not only was there an inconvenience, but the chain and the hook from the tow was placed incorrectly which I now understood have been life threatening for us. Also, the wrap that goes around the car' tire that is supposed to hold the car being towed, is almost completely ripped. Had that ripped, my car would have flown off the tow. I understand there are difficulties we all face at work. We try to do the best out of what we have. But putting our life and putting my property in danger, that does have to be a bit more considerable.

I could not get my keys on time because they were in a lock box that it was impossible to open. My moving trip got delayed one day. I returned the truck at a different location. I was charged an extra day. I only used the truck for 12 hours. Calling customer services is very challenging. Waiting times are very long. I know your company has a monopoly of the moving business but maybe thinking about your customers convenience a bit would be a great business strategy.

1. The truck was received with NO gas and no equipment. All trucks should have at least 1/4 of a tank of gas upon receipt of the truck. 2. The customer service at this location was horrible. We waited over an hour to have someone assist us with the truck rental and answer questions while management was in their office. This is unacceptable.

One thing I didn't understand. I check in through my email. But when I went to pick up my truck the next day l still needed to stand in line to check in? What if you guys can create one line just for those who check in through your app or email so the customer comes in to pick there truck. The keys are ready and the truck ready. People in office were loud, rude and didn't really care to help customers. The employees were too busy talking about nothing to help people standing in line. One guy was standing for 10 minutes before an employee helped him. They were also very rude and cursing to each other. The other guy that helped me with a trailer was clueless how to hook up a trailer to a truck. One of the lights was not working on trailer and he had no idea how to fix it. I myself removed the light bulb to find it not plugged in at all and he was amazed that I removed the light and fixed it. He hooked up my trailer and I explained to him how the chains were too tight and wouldn't allow turning. He also forgot to connect the trailer breakaway brakes. Very poor management and clueless employees.

This is a joke. I picked up truck on 4/30 I never was asked if I wanted the insurance which I would've declined and had no gas. Very dirty and beat up. Was going to rent it to someone else when I made a reservation. Then I drop it off in the drop box. The website was down. Called the location no picked up. Call was routed to CSR and I sent in pic of mileage and let them know I dropped off truck then today Monday I was informed they charged me for three days on 5/2. Wrong so wrong. Very unhappy let's see if manager calls me back.

Instead of having 1 to 2 staff working the counter and having 2 staff just standing behind them talky to each other. Having them help. I stood on line for an hour waiting and then being told I was late checking in the truck, but I wouldn't be charged. Is poor customer service.

The employee who checked me out overestimated my rental cost by $400. and admitted a mistake for this one day rental. I paid the $72.85 fee in full on the day of need, and then was charged $172.79 more in error, resulting in a deficit of $25.00 on my debit card account at CITI. I demanded a refund on 4/28/22 in cash, plus $25.00 bank fee. Terrible service and careless accounting at this Fontana location. I will never rent a vehicle at this site again. Jeff Griffith.

UHaul switched the location of my pickoff without informing me of doing so. The line was so long and took forever at the pickup location. I was dropped off at the original booking location only to have to call for someone to pick me up to take me to the other location. I do not blame the physical locations. I blame the uhaul system.

When I got there, it was a long line. Only two people checking in so it was a wait. I am sure you are short staffed, but there were a couple people that “appeared” to be running around looking for keys and not doing much. All should be trained to check in and work that process when the line goes through the entire store.

Once I found an associate, I had the help I needed. However, the location has several signs urging customers returning their vehicles to STAY in their rental until an associate comes out to assist. I waited for almost an hour. Finally went inside only to wait in a long ass line. In total, it took over 2 hours just to return the equipment I had rented. I cannot say I would use Uhaul again for a move.

The truck was lost and I had to find it around back. The driver headlight was out. They couldn't find keys. Tried to send me away with back locked and no key for it. And worse off the truck had zero gas, gave me $50 credit for $75 worth of gas. I will be calling Monday to dispute with U-Haul. Horrible experience.

Hi I didn't understand why ? He took a picture of my card and then when asked he stated he do that, but when I asked so why are you using it By hand in the computer 樂樂樂樂we do both he said. Explain why no answer. My card to go into the building didn't work. They tried with no idea why. So she tossed by card in the trash. She wanted 6 numbers and I asked for information on how to get in she said * then the six numbers then#. That didn't work . Three times so another client let me use his number to get inside.

Accessing storage with furniture is very difficult have to go up 3 flights of stairs with a dolly. Completely inconvenient for any person let alone someone with disabilities or an elder. Cancelled and went to another storage

U-Haul's very competitive, perhaps best, prices while not imposing a greedy move-in fee is a refreshing surprise. Getting stuff into my 2nd-floor unit without an elevator was a bit awkward, but I'm a better man --pumping iron-- without the noise, and I likely saved time. The office person forgot to give me a map of the units in the hallways, and there's no arrowed marquee and no unit numbers marked at each of the numerous halls of units and stairways leading to the 2nd-floor halls. The card swipe entry is fickle as it doesn't work on the first few swipes. Alas alack, the facility has only one dolly.

The lady who help me there at foothill fontana,she do my paper works for almost 1 and half hours and when I saw the storage that I want to renting my furniture not even fit in that small storage and it’s all the way on top how I’m going to put my big refrigerator,there is a stair..waisting my time that moment...and the lady who’s helping me the line was very long and she’s always talking about her drama take me for ever and I just cancell my reservation cuz the storage was very tiny and I ask first is the fridge and couch fit to that storage she said yes,omg when I saw the storage tiny small,really waste my time

Unfortunately the storage was not available. Staff offered a storage that was almost double the price so I declined. I reserved the 1st floor $59.99. Staff was nice. However, I feel like they wait until customers arrive and then are forced to modify the reservation in order to make more money. Totally unprofessional. Best Regards, Loyal Customer for years.

The only reason I would not recommend this facility to a friend is because they have regular sized doors instead of the garage pull up doors so it was hard to place things . The height of the storage isn't very high. And the hallways to the storage are narrow . I know this is a storage but they have mouse traps inside of the unit which takes a little space and it's a little sketchy because I've never seen traps inside storage could be a good or a bad thing. If you don't have large couches to move in this space would be good for you . Also Miguel knows how to handle difficult customers. I was helped by him initially and he was very pleasant but when I came back I received another girl which was pleasant as well and then was helped by another girl which complicated certain things because they did not relay messages on . I would rather have been helped by one person .

Worst customer service ever. No truck available after I reserved it the day before. No such thing as a free month of storage with a one way rental at this location. Lazy attendant too.

You guys need an elevator in that storage or a ramp of some sort. Loading things on a cart to then take them down stairs to another cart is really inefficient. Should be cheaper for the inconvenience.
