Customer service at this location is the worst. The issues always start when returning the rental. They take forever. The credit card machine is malfunctioning. The handheld is not working correctly. The list goes on and on. The worst part is, they make you wait until they figure it out, instead of trying to come a quick resolution. Will not do business with these folks again. It may be time to look at another company for truck rentals.GARY S.

representative should be more customer oriented, I do not remember her name but she was so tough with customer, she was bored and have low tolerance for questions as if she do not care, however her boss was very helpful and very professional.FADY W.
There were only two people up front and a line out the door. The guy that took care of me was lazy. He was leaning on the counter and extremely unmotivated. I asked to rent a 5X9 open trailer. I checked before I walked in and there were at least seven 5X9 trailers in the yard. I was told there were none. After a few minutes he said he had a 5X8. I said that will work. I was given the contract and was told to go hook it up by my self. I did and upon inspection the trailer had no parking lights. Although, sometimes I need equipment I dread going to this location.STEPHEN R.

The employee working didn't connect the trailer properly and it damaged the tailgate bumper and license plate. Very poor job. Also reached out to put down a claim and the res presentations gave me a hard time I had to call twice to get my claim going. Not very happy with the service. Will consider pensky next time.RAFAEL F.

I was late by 45 min for a reservation, on the way there I received a voicemail stating the reservation had been canceled. Got to the location 5 mins later and the equipment was gone. Made another reservation with the person at the desk for 3 hrs from then to come back. I did such (on time) and was told they canceled the reservation because the person before me decided to extend the reservation. No call, nothingâ€¦. Luckily I asked about the trailer on the property and was able to take it for a few hours. Took and hour for this visit. My average time here is a minimum of 30 minutesJohnathan D.

The staff was running around outside instead of taking care of customers in line. Another customer went outside and ask why no one was in the store taking care of the customers in line. Another employee just went around telling customers move their cars instead of getting the line down.BRANDY C.

They need more employees to staff this location. Its a large location and with proper staffing it would be more profitable and faster turn around getting customers serviced. This is why I gave it a below average rating on "location overall"ROY M C.
I had a reservation at 10:30 for a 20ft truck. I arrived at 10:30 to be informed that the truck I reserved was not there yet. Person working the counter placed a call to the person who had truck and that person informed person working the counter that they would be arriving with truck in 30-35 minutes. After sitting around waiting for an hour and a half since I arrived I got back in line to see if he'd was an update. At this point I spoke to General Manager Eric who simply informed me, they have already called person who had the truck when I arrived and an this point, I would just have to wait until a truck was available (no timeframe to given and zero alternative provided. Not sure how someone who knew how to do their job was informed of this situation (I'm assuming from corporate), but they called me and provided me a 15ft truck if I was willing to take it. Shocking that the location I was at had two ready and did not even offer me this option. This woman called the uhaul branch I was at while I was waiting and made it happen. General Manager Eric at the Fontana location on Sierra and Foothill does not need to be in a position of authority as this branch was drowning. I'm very thankful for the lady who did her job and probably Eric's job as well. With that being said, I probably will not ever use uhaul again.Omar R.

The trailer I rented was actually pretty dirty inside it had obviously been used before to haul tile and grout mastic and concrete. There was dust everywhere inside. I did not have a broom with me to clean it out so had to use it like that. I did sweep it out when I emptied it, but it was still bad.LORETTA A.

I have rented U-Haul's for years and this is the first time that I actually had a bad experience the customer service was horrible everyone acted like they didn't wanna be at their jobs and intern was taking it out on your customers when I called customer service they completely ignored my situation and try to fix it by giving me some free miles not what I wanted at all. Miss Sherri was incredible but she was SO understaffed and left without help. The rest of the team was avoiding customers and instead....stocking the displays with moving blankets. Nice, what a joke. There were 8 customers waiting and no one else was helping - 2 employees also called off because they must have had more important things to do, other than work for their paycheck. U-Haul's very competitive, perhaps best, prices while not imposing a greedy move-in fee is a refreshing surprise. Getting stuff into my 2nd-floor unit without an elevator was a bit awkward, but I'm a better man --pumping iron-- without the noise, and I likely saved time. The office person forgot to give me a map of the units in the hallways, and there's no arrowed marquee and no unit numbers marked at each of the numerous halls of units and stairways leading to the 2nd-floor halls. Unfortunately the storage was not available. Staff offered a storage that was almost double the price so I declined. I reserved the 1st floor $59.99. Staff was nice. However, I feel like they wait until customers arrive and then are forced to modify the reservation in order to make more money. Totally unprofessional.
