Very disappointed that you're charging me $9 including gas that I am sure I return as it was when I picked it up I don't agree with paying the extra dollar for Environmental. I used exactly 2 gallons and I put 2.2 gallons in your tank again unfortunately you overcharged me for gas. However ,the customer service( young gentleman) at the front desk was extremely helpful, in regards explaining how to return the truck ,after hours Sincerely, Loy Long jr

The 1st trailer's right rear lights did not work. The 2nd trailer worked great however I noticed when I was part way through my move that both of the safety chains had several links that were ground down beyond what would be considered safe. These thin links were rusted which means they had been unsafe for a while. Upon returning the trailer I pointed this out to the employee who thanked me and said he'd get them replaced. I point out these safety issues because they could be of concern to other renters. However the service was good and after they fix these safety issues I'd definitely recommend this location.

STOP CUSTOMER RIPOFFS. Although I have used UHAUL successfully in the past for transporting our Girl Scout Cookies, this latest rental was a disaster. UHaul ripped us off on two of our four rentals this year, costing us $14 for non-ordered SafeMove on one of the rentals (Contract 22651269), and latest ripoff on the fourth rental (Contract 23073013) of $14.16 for mileage and $11.28 for gas. Appeals of these errors got nowhere.

Originally attempted to do mobile check-in to get truck myself without needing to enter store to better social distance due to pandemic. Unfortunately, the lock password given as part of the mobile check-in process did not work, so I was not able to actually unlock the truck. This resulted in me having to go into the store and get a different truck assigned to me.

Upon drop off, I was told I could leave the keys in the truck and they would email me with the check out procedure. 3 days later, I received the check out for $207 more than I expected. I am not going to pay this amount. I was only expecting to pay $140 total.

the gentleman that helped me was very nice. my only concern was that upon check out was gas was marked at 3/4 tank. It was actually on 5/8. He said he would correct it. When the truck was returned I got charged for gas being at 5/8 rather then at 3/4 tank.

Customer sales at the register was excellent and very helpful. He gave clear instructions, answer all my questions, and explained the entire procedure. All covid protocols were followed to the letter and I felt very safe.

Is there any way for customers to get a discount on the current rental and/or future rentals if you return the equipment early? I used the trailer and returned it within 4 hours even though it was rented it for 24 hours. It would be a good PR move to reward customers who return equipment early. Just a thought.

There was a truck in the way of the drop off so my husband and about 5 other trucks with trailers were forced to wait until someone there could find the keys to the truck in the way to move it so everyone could get in. Very inconvenient.

Sean was terrible customer service and unprofessional disposition to a customer in front of me - Then it carried over to me . Thought and gave benefit of doubt that he may be having a bad day.. Unfortunately, upon return next day ALL the same inappropriate unprofessional conduct disposition and wrongful attitude. He should NOT be working at customer service desk . Perhaps this destination has become to complacent to themselves lost perspective of customer courtesy and professional conduct training - Perhaps they take customers for GRANTED not realizing customers have choices to go to other moving truck venues in area . Either way was not appropriate for UHAUL site to be unkind unprofessional to customers even on a slow day. After 35 years of being a very loyal customer this these experiences brings hesitation and second thought to any future business and/or referrals as we are in Research Triangle vast quantities of collegiate and professional relocations whereas our family is asked weekly for local business referrals. I /we would NOT WANT THEM to have negative experience as others have ...This site has lost the sense of community and Golden Rule lacking in professional conduct overall even with one another as a team they were unprofessional to one another. Starting off we were told the uhaul would be in lane E or facing the road. The key said lane H and not only was it not in lane E or H or facing the road it was in the back and the employee had to go searching for it. There was cigarette ashes in the holder water coming up on the driver side from some where the exhaust was so bad I had to keep a window open. Then when I return the uhaul I purposely chose credit so nothing additional would be held I get charged a 28 dollar gas fee which was inaccurate because I actually put in more gas than was required. Then was told it wouldn't be put back into acct until 2-3 business days. Won't be using this location again

I called looking for a trailer with a ramp to move an atv that was 5' 2" wide. I was told that the 6'x12' with a ramp would work. I rented it and left. When I got to my desitation I found out that the ramp was only 4'9". This was a total waste of time and money.

I was supposed to have a months free storage unit rental, but in the computer it says some thing about I need to call someone else first. the gentlemen on site and had no idea what about. So now I just have no storeage

Drop off after hours at the location was not clear. There was one sign that says to leave the key on the seat. There was a sign about an app but no instructions. I saw nothing about a drop box for keys, I had to ask a guy that just happened to be there returning too who was also struggling. He happened to find the drop box quite away away from under the carport area.

Customer service was good. Trucks need to be properly cleaning and vacuumed especially with Covid. First impressions were great. We received wonderful customer service from the pick up u-haul facility staff members. Once in the car we noticed brown liquid in the cup holder and crumbs all through out the truck. Lastly, close to the end of the stretch with 170 miles left the service engine light came on. At that point we were a bit nervous as to what was the cause, but had no choice but to continue on home. It did go away at time of drop off, but I just want someone to be aware before it's given to someone else. For the auto transport drop off the ratchet straps were rusted and was put on incorrectly by the attendant. Road assistance was requested at that point and was very helpful. The drop off location was dingy, not well light, and we were lucky to even find a place for both the truck and transport.

I reserved a 6x12 trailer online and arrived to be told there was not one available. I could take a smaller one or drive 30minutes to a different location to pick one up! This is the second time in 6 months this had happened. Horrible customer service practice! At least call ahead to let me know there is an issue not when I arrive and have people waiting to help me move. Very disappointed. The location was very respectful and felt bad.

Step up into the cab on the 15' van and try to get into the driver's seat. I had quite a stretch to make it in, and turned my right ankle trying to get out of the truck. Maybe solder a small step?

We have used this U-Haul for truck, trailer, and storage. The staff have always been very helpful and willing to help us solve unexpected problems. The staff have often gone above and beyond. While we are happy to no longer be paying fees for storage, we will return for any truck rental or storage needs that we have in the future.

When the moving van and movers we hired arrived at the facility, there was no one there to explain that they had lost power and that the facility was closed. We talked to duke power employees who were fixing the broken transponder and they let us know what had happened. I had to pay an additional $600.00 for the movers to then take my belongings to their Raleigh storage facility to hold until I could find another storage facility. When I called for a refund the next day, no one apologized. I was told, "i had booked the facility for 11-20, if I had just moved in then, this wouldn't have happened." I was very disappointed by the staff's response and lack of empathy. I have received my refund and will not be working with or reccomending u haul in the future.

Called ahead to try and update my reservation to a first floor reservation. Was unable to do it over the phone and had problems initially with the first person I spoke to and gave up on getting a first floor storage. Then TraShawn Chambers got involved and had the situation resolved in no time. Very grateful for his assistance and the assistance of the other employee at the time. He also helped and explained how the facility security worked after we triggered the alarm accidentally. Facility condition was clean and move in was quick and easy. Great overall experience!

It took two months for them to process my move out. In that two months, I was hassled with mail, emails, and phone calls regarding rent that I wasn’t responsible for and statements regarding lien on my property (which had been moved out before my one free month was even up). Uhaul support told me they’d contacted the manager three times on my behalf but the issue was not resolved until I got a phone call from a representative asking me when I was going to pay the back rent and fees. After I told her I’d moved out months ago and submitted a move out request before my free month was over, she promptly said she would remove me from the system.

The instructions to access the building worked perfectly, but the doors didn’t work. Additionally, there was still a lock on my unit when I arrived at at 7:50pm. This is 10 minutes before they close. When I went to the front, they asked me if I had ever been there before. I said no I reserved online. I can only imagine they’re supposed to keep track of those with online move-ins to unlock units before tenants arrive. I was told by the employee, “Word of advice, don’t arrive 10 minutes before we close.” He went and unlocked the lock I said Thank you and he said nothing in return. Additionally, the climate in that side was reading 88 which is outside the range they promise for climate controlled storage. It’s supposed to be maintained from 75-85 degrees. Finally, they promise you a free lock in the unit. There was no lock provided. Online process was easy, but this facility is a disaster. I DO NOT recommend anyone move into this location.

The gentleman who helped us check in ("Y" Caldwell) was extremely helpful and positive and polite. The woman who reserved the storage rental over the phone for me reserved one that was half the size of what we needed, and you can imagine our dismay after traveling 5 states! "Y" was very quick to assure us that he would take care of it and fix the situation. He was compassionate to our frustration over the situation and understanding in our apologies that our upset was not directed at him. He worked diligently to find us 2 storage units that were relatively close to each other, took his time to walk us through how to get there, including highlighting a map and providing us with it AND taking us personally there. He took the time to explain that the codes take 24 hours to upload before they stop setting off the alarm, how to enter the codes, the best doors to unload and come through, and what the best locks were for us to get. As we were in the midst of unloading the truck with helpers and movers and figuring out what was going into each unit, "Y" took the time to walk over to us to let us know his shift was ending and to see how we were doing and if there was anything we needed or anything further he could do for us. I asked a few questions about returning the truck while we were still there and their hours and he took the time to not only answer those questions but to just chat and laugh a bit. When I asked about if we needed to extend our storage a bit, he assured me that I could just call him and he would handle it for me. He truly is an exemplary employee who is not only focused on the customer's needs, but clearly on the entire customer experience. He exhibited excellence and, in my humble opinion, deserves a promotion and a raise. (While he was taking care of us, I also watched him help his coworkers with issues and support his manager all without missing a beat.)

Not the best set up in terms of getting things into storage units that are down winding hallways. As there was only one way in or out, it was difficult if multiple people were there at one time moving. I had to wait about 3 minutes for other people to move out of the way to be able to get my stuff in. For units that are farther from the entrances, there should be more entrances put in for easier access to them.

I needed a small storage unit and a van to move my son out of an apartment until he knows where he's going next. Jarron was the general manager, Jeremiah helped me, and there were at least one or two other people working. They were all incredibly professional and courteous, and incredibly aware of how stressed people are now, because of covid-19. I overheard several phone calls and they were always polite and friendly with those customers, and with the in-person customers they were as well, and offered all the protections (distancing, hand sanitizer, etc) to keep everyone safe. But beyond that, they worked REALLY WELL together as a team. It was obvious that they liked and respected each other, communicated well, and were primarily concerned with making sure the customers got what they wanted. Would absolutely use again.

I tried to get 24 hour access. It seemed to not benefit me, but I was told I had up to 10 on which I really didn't . I wasted a trip to use my unit when I found out it closed at 7. Why say I can go?

UHaul put on a lock, could not find the key, and had to cut it off. Second lock added with same results. I had to pay removal fee. I said they lost it. Called me a liar. Later found it.
