Truck was not ready at time of reservation. Couldn't find the keys, Couldn't find the truck, etc. U-haul representative was taking trash out of it as he pulled it around. I asked if that was my rental? He had forgotten who I was. Looked my info up again and then dried out some water from inside. I also purchased two TV shipping boxes. I tried to use the app to get the truck. I was assigned at the beginning the truck T2099 I after I located the truck and walked all over the parking lot, I continue the process and when In retrieve the key the truck was not the same, so I had to walk again ALL OVER THE PARKING AREAS ( the app dis not show the truck actual position) then when I got home to pack, since they changed trucks for some reason the 2 dollies I included in the reservation were not there so I had to drive back to getâ€¦ I lost a total of 3 hours and half adding to a stressful beginning to the move. Expect mediocre products and services at U Haul someday there will be a competitor and they will start to care.Luis M.

I was disappointed with the service I received with UHaul. First off, I had scheduled to have my boxes delivered to the storage facility at Citrus Park on Monday, June 21. I chose this location because this is where I had my belongings in storage. The Friday before, I attempted to contact the store to make sure everything was OK for Monday but I could not get in contact with the store. Their answering machine automatically transferred me to UHauls generic customer service line. On Monday, I again attempted to call the store and experienced the same issue. When I was on the phone with customer service, they said they had the boxes delivered to the West Hillsborough location. UHaul changed my reservation without notifying me. Because of this, the Citrus Park location did not have my boxes ready so I was delayed getting them loaded. The store made it right with me. Then, I remember from making my reservation, that usually the boxes ship 3 days after they are loaded. It took a week for my boxes to be picked up and shipped. The customer service person I spoke to could not tell me why, but confirmed delays are not common. When my boxes arrived in Ohio, the store manager waited until 4:55pm on a Friday before a holiday weekend to inform me he could not deliver my boxes to my apartment complex on my scheduled day. He could deliver a day earlier, but I needed to contact my apartment complex to confirm this would be OK. The office was closed and the earliest I could contact them would be the following Tuesday. In follow up calls with the Ohio location they could only confirm my scheduled delivery date would be July 8, but did not say if it was guaranteed. I was still traveling on the 8th, and when I called to ask if they were delivered no one could tell me for sure they were delivered. My issue with UHaul is it seems the company does not have the infrastructure or systems in place to provide adequate tracking for UBox customers. There was so little communication about my boxes from each store I worked with, that I believe UHaul does not give its stores adequate resources to handle UBox orders. For example, the reason my boxes couldn't be delivered on my previously scheduled date (July 9) because the only person certified to do deliveries would not be available. I cannot recommend U-Box to anyone I know. It was an added unnecessary stress to my move. It was incredibly frustrating that no one could tell me where my boxes were. I would recommend UBox to someone who prefers a completely hands off approach and is fine with just "hoping" their items make it to their destination. Maybe someone doing a one-two state move. But when it comes to a multi state move across the country, not knowing where my things are or not getting them when expected is a nightmare. I am at least glad my belongings are not damaged and that the boxes held up.HANNAH B.

There were only two people in the office and it took over 30 minutes to get the trailer I pre checked in online for. On top of that the gentleman said he could save me $5 if I do it one way. So I opted for that. Asking where to drop the trailer off he said anywhere. I dropped it off at the location that was closest to my new home only to find out I was charged an additional $51 because it was the "wrong" location. Contacted U-Haul corporate with no help saying it was up to the store and they would email the store. Well, I still haven't heard anything back from the store and I was out $51. This was my 4th time renting a truck from this location and I have always received excellent customer service until this experience. The Agent (Jasmyn Rivera) was rude and unapologetic for the inconvenience that I experienced when she didn't give me back my driver's license or debit card - which I didn't realize until late that night. I called immediately the next morning to see if they had them and after 12 minutes on hold I was transferred to the general customer service center. They couldn't even get thru to the location to find out if my items were there, so they IM'd the location and requested that they call me... it took 2 hours for them to call me letting me know they had my items. I was shocked that they didn't immediately call me after leaving with the Uhaul. The Agent knowingly and without concern let me drive your truck without my ID and debit card and she didn't even bother to call. When I came to get my items they were wrapped in a print out of my reservation and had my name and phone number highlighted. Yes, my phone number was highlighted and yet no effort was made to notify me they didn't give them back when I picked up the truck. They had my name and number, I just left the location and yet she didn't even care or try to let me know. Aside from this experience with your unprofessional employee, I would still consider this a good location that traditionally has had excellent customer service.SARAH H.

The truck broke down on me and was towed. Apparently the contract was not closed correctly and I was charged for every day. I called customer service and was hung up on 2 by an agent called Sabrina and transferred back and forth for over 2 hours. One of the reasons I chose this location was the hours of access...The directions for the access codes are confusing.....there are three keypads!!!! I did manage to gain access for my first dropoff but am concerned if I'll be able to figure out when I bring another load.Dawn D. | Online Move In
I had a trailer hitch installed a few months ago and the general manager, Patrick Walker made the transaction work on time and within budget, to our mutual satisfaction in spite of a couple of minor glitches. He also became involved in our storage rental unit agreement due to a conflict between our agreement with an on line agent and the policy of the company. He resolved the issue with no delay and fairly, according to our agreement, and to our satisfaction. The facility is clean and well maintained with easy access. I setup a reservation for a unit and everything seemed okay until I got there. I was told I would have 24 hour access but the hours on the door said differently. The Confirmation email didn't give clear directions on how to get into unit. My code didn't work to get into the door. I went in behind someone else and when I got to my unit (after I had to search and find it) I opened it and alarms started going off. I had already loaded a cart full of stuff and tried to call the front office for assistance but was transferred to customer service and placed on hold. There was no way to speak with anyone in the front and after being on hold for over 10 mins I loaded my things back into my car, went to the office and canceled my reservation. After driving a UHaul truck 3 hrs to Tampa I was exhausted. I had reservations at Extra Space after they "sold me" on the first mon the free. Unfortunately once I got there I discovered the Free didn't include hidden fees for Admin fee and required renters insurance and only their locks can be used. My "FREE" was close to $100. As tired as I was I couldn't let that happen! I called UHaul they also told me 1st month was free but this time it was REALLY FREE! :-). During this time of Covid, not working, not being able to afford my home any more and moving in with a friend I needed every break possibly. I was thrilled! I jumped back in the truck and went to 6111 Gunn Highway Tampa, FL Where there service was exceptional. I'm so happy I didn't just say OK and give those other guys my money! I loved everything about the facility but I rented an air conditioned controlled unit and it was always 90° in there! Blankets and linens smelled moldy when I moved out. I wouldn't rent there again because it was too hot in the unit and the heat will ruin furniture!! Satisfied with everything else but not worth losing furniture. Expensive. I had a 5x5 and asked to upgrade to 5x10 for 91.00 a month. I moved to a newer facility and have a 10x14 climate controlled for 104.00 a month.
