I unloaded my Trailer in SE Washington DC and there was a U-Haul facility on south Capitol st. within one mile of my location. They would not accept my trailer and I had to drive 40 minutes in DC traffic to drop off the trailer in Capitol Heights. Then drive back 40 minutes to my destination. I do not think you should be using ME as YOUR delivery service. My time has value also. When I did arrive at the Capitol Heights location, I noted there were at least 8 other 6X12 trailers at this site and I find it hard to believe it was needed at that particular site. Very disappointed in the process and that your 800 number is so busy no one would answer it. I was on hold for over 15 minutes and finally was able to get help form the folks at the South Capitol St location. Hope I never have to rent from you again!BRIAN F.

Still waiting for call back from Corey Weaver at Capital height, MD Message sent below Hi Corey, I scheduled a move out for today, subject to me getting a rental van. When I made the reservation, I received a call informing me that I would receive a call 48-24 hours before pick up if the truck was available. I never received a call. I changed my truck rental to next week, 10/8, I believe and will probably change it again to later in October. I am not moving out as scheduled and was NOT able to change the move out date. The people were friendly and helpful, but I've tried twice renting from there. Parking is extremely limited, one person didn't have a U-Haul uniform collecting keys so I wasn't sure he even worked there, and both times, I had a difficult time accessing the vehicles I wanted to rent. The app is glitches and it makes you call a 1-800 number that no one answers! Very frustrating! I had reserved a storage unit, but after having so much trouble renting a truck I canceled it.Nzingha U.

Well there wasn't a line when I got in there which was good. However it was just me an 1 other Customer in 2 different lines. After finishing my transaction with my cashier which was quick cause I had a reservation she gave me keys told me to go out the door look to the right the first van was mine. Lol I go outside look to my right only trucks were to my right an a customer was in one truck in front of the door, so I was confused I asked one other employee who was walking up to the door an he said yea to the right kept walking! So I wondering around trying to figure it out which was crazy I went back in the cashier an asked what did I get cause I didn't see my van she looked on the camera an said go out the door to your right I see it on the camera it's there while still sitting. I go back out the door then the cashier finally gets up off her chair comes out side walks me all the way to the right points down a ally an says there's your van ðŸ˜¡how was I supposed to know to go all the way to a ally with her simple directions when she could of pulled my van around upfront. When I get into the van it was stinky.. which I didn't bother even going back into complain being the customer service was horrible!!! Other people I know said not rent from there but bc it was closest to what I needed to get done I was like maybe I won't get bad customer service an that's exactly what I got!!!TAWANA V.

Arrived for the mobile set up. The car was there but no one could seem to the find keys to the van, I had to assert myself to get an answer. They reassigned me and the totals came up to more than I agreed to on the mobile app. Then when assigned the car, someone pulled it out front but I also order a dolly and I waited 15 minutes for â€œsomeone to bring me oneâ€ all for me to have to walk and het my dolly because he was â€œeating his lunchâ€. Truck was not easily accessible. Was given conflicting information of whether the truck was even on the lot. I believe it was the manager of this location was very helpful and had to go retrieve the truck for me. However, the truck I received did not have my reserved accessories (ie dollies and furniture blankets). These were all paid for and I would like to request a refund. Additionally, at the pickup location they added air to the truck tires, which at the time I thought to just be routine. However, we quickly found out one of the tires had a leak. I was forced to stop on two separate occasions on my three hour drive to put air in the tire. Overall, I was incredibly disappointed with this experience. These extra issues just created more stress on a busy moving day. Will look elsewhere next time.RORY A.
Be honest with your customer, don't try to make money and hurt your customers. I reserved the truck in North East DC, I asked the agent if it's the same location that we pick up and drop off and I told several times that I pick it from the same place I reserved the truck. When the day came to pick up, we went there with the movers, we were told that we have to drive 30mins to another pick up location. After arriving to the other location the reserved truck was not there and they ended up giving us a smaller truck. We had to make 3 trips to move, wasted time and money. With all the commotion we forgot our wallets in the truck when we dropped the truck off, when we returned to get our wallets, we were told that no one saw any wallet. This is unacceptable, unprofessional and we will never do business with Uhaul again. No apologies were made until the next day when the manager called us and waived all the charges. We still lost money, time and our wallets. They are not professionals, no good customer service when we picked up, no apologies were made for giving us wrong pick address. This is crazy, take your business elsewhere!DERIS G.

I received excellent Customer Service from Storage Unit Manager, Mignon Lee and from General Manager, Corey Weaver! They both explained U-Haul's Policies to me very explicitly and answered all my questions I had since this was my first time ever renting a Storage Unit from U-Haul. One evening after Office Hours, I was at the Property on Central Avenue where my Storage was located and I could not board the Elevator to go to the second floor. It appeared to be stuck or either other Clients/Customers was blocking the Elevator from moving. I waited 20 minutes then I noticed there was an after hours phone number posted on the wall with the GM's Cellphone number listed ( Corey Weaver's # ). I dialed his number and he immediately picked it up and identified himself as the GM and related to him how I am Disabled and needed the use of the Elevator but it was not working. Mr. Weaver said give him about 10 minutes and that he would drive back to the U-Haul location and investigate what was going on with the Elevator. I said Great and that I would be standing right in front of the Elevator when he arrived. Another 5 minutes pasted and the Elevator Opened with 2 Men got off with loaded Carts of Furniture. So, it appeared these 2 Men was blocking the Elevator with their Furniture until they finished loading up the Elevator with their items. Out of courtesy, I made another telephone call to Mr. Corey Weaver, as he was driving back into U-Haul to let him know that I was finally able to board the Elevator and told him what the problem was. Mr. Weaver thanked me for letting him know and then the rest of the evening retrieving my items from my Storage Unit went Perfect! I will let other Family and Friends know how accommodating U-Haul Storage Facility is and how U-Haul will go the "Extra Mile" for it's Clients/Customers!! Staff friendly but not very efficient. I had down all the prep work by way of the internet the night before yet it took her 45 minute to get us in a truck and on our way. Facility was clean but only one person on duty when I was there at 3:00. At one point she was trying to serve 2 other customers. Got in van and it was blocked by a truck. Called for help but eventually had to wiggle out from behind another truck to leave - cutting deeper into the 4 hours. Communication via the internet is way to complicated and cumbersome.
