The equipment was clean but the alignment was pulling to the right. When I made a turn at low speed it almost went very close to the guard rail near hospital curve. And when driving a straight line it pulled right as well. Other than that the vehicle served its purpose.Ava G.
The customer service here is terrible. I will stick to Belmont Uhual or Rob Bakers in Millbrae. Trying to get someone to help me was ridiculous. I spent 45 min walking back and forth, 7 times! trying to get someone to help me with an adjustment on my receipt. I finally told the girl behind the counter that i wasn't going to keep walking back and forth, I was pretty upset at this piont. I, as a customer shouldn't be bounced back and forth to different employees becuase everybody's too busy to help me! I told her she needed to find someone who could help me. That it wasn't my job to go fetch someone. She gave me an attitude at this piont which was totally unprofessional. I had valid reason to be upset. I'm a paying customer! What ever happened to good customer service! A happy customer is a returning customer. The girl parking the trucks outside was very sweet but the one inside behind the counter, was terrible. Did I give her an attitude? Sure did. Was it valid? Absolutely. Was her negative attitude and negative tone appropriate? Never. I know. I'm in customer service too! Im a bus driver I gotta deal with all kinds of people. She told me well you're just gonna have to wait becuase i can't help you right now, see that blue line over there? You need to stand behind it until I'm done with this other customer. What other customer? The guy still looking at boxes?? There was nobody in there but me and another guy looking at boxes! It's too much detail to write and I'm getting upset all over again typing this out. Long story short, some guy ended up helping me after 45 minutes of walking back an forth. He was behind the counter helping out the rude one. I waited patiently in line ( there was a line this time ) and fortunately I got him and not the rude one. He adjusted my receipt in like 2 minutes. 2 minutes. Let me say that one more time. 2 minutes. All of that back and forth for what could have been done in 2 minutes becuase according to the rude one she couldn't do it. Only the person outside could do it for me! What a bonehead. Yesterday I picked up a truck that had no gas in it, I was told to go ahead to the gas station right away. I left the lot and went directly to get gas. At the gas station, gas poured out underneath the truck when I pumped. The gas tank had been stolen the night before. I drove the truck back picked up another truck. I was running late and did not submit another photo for the second truck I rented. I dropped the truck later on and was charged for a gallon and half of gas and a 25.00 cleaning fee. I use u haul often and am sure to thoroughly sweep out the truck. I called into Uhaul today and was told to go back into the location I rented from, I have limited free time as was wondering if I could be refunded for the gallon and half of gas and the 25.00 cleaning fee. Try harder not to have my credit card skimmed. Before I left the lot someone made a phone call to fraudulently charge on my credit card. This was the only place the card had been used in a month and I scratched out the 3 #s on the back so it had to have been from a skimmer on your machines because they knew the code.SHANDOR S.

Everything went well. Did have a problem with my reservation but it was handle in a proper way and as a customer I was satisfied. The only problem I did have after leaving the place was that the lights on the trailer were not working. Driving at night the lights did not turn on. My experience here was not pleasant. Right when i get there, there was no line and there were two workers in he front desk. Both of them were on there phones and chit chatting with one another. One worker called me and said i can help you, and as soon as she calls me over she gets on her phone and looks down. I stood in front of her for a good 2 minutes as she continues to chit chat with her coworker. When i spoke up and asked her if she would help me, her response was "Oh I forgot i called you, i didnt see you there" and then laughed with her coworker. Obviously there is trash that appears all of a sudden but I have noticed either someone cleans it up while on their regular rounds or someone is sent up to clean it. Very well run storage property. I'll say that y'all had saved our lives by having a truck/tow trailer available and having helped us despite of not having a reservation. Our car was stranded about 130 miles away from home and we need to get it back home. However I'd say keep your cars well maintained and clean. I saw some smudges on the window and was told that the car needed maintenance. Wasn't scared about it but if it broke down on the way back with the car, it would have been a pain and 3.FRANKLYN S.

It was hell getting them to approve my identification. They should've told me that they needed to verify identity prior to showing up. After having it approved, then they sent me to another number to process it and they asked me for the same info and had to reapprove me for identity. Then the lock to retrieve the key was broken. I arrived on time at 9:30 and then I had to proceed to another location to pick up the vehicle but this took forever. I ended up getting my rental 2 hours late as they had to verify my identity FOR THE THIRD TIME!!!!! This ended up costing me money with the movers I had hired. Worse experience with a rental. I am complaining bitterly that UHAUL takes advantages of me immorally. I rented a trailer for loading a motorcycle however I could not open the back flat bed door due to its tightening, locking metal stick. I was unjustly denied to get a refund when I was told about why to use a rental trailer. It was unacceptable. Again, I was charged unfairly that I decided not to rent a dolly. I changed minds that I purchased the new dolly at my own expense. I demanded that it must be the stupid, unthinkable clerk's neglected mistake and that I must get two full refunds immediately. I am reporting my two complaint incidents to the government authorities recently. I am ordering my bank by forcing two stop payments for refunds. Miscommunication, misinformation and misunderstanding are the major serious issues. The clerks do not follow my clear, simple instructions. They are disqualified and are not well trained how to deal with me and disabled customers. It is the UHAUL's major fault.Steven M.

Wasn't allowed to get the truck myself, though they said it was an option, because of that I got the truck 15 minutes after the contract time. I returned the truck 15 minutes early and was told "you can go, you will be billed". When I received the bill it said I returned the truck an hour late! The place is shady. If I went into the office to return the truck the bill would have been fine, but I had to rely on a girl who was more interested in hanging out with her friends than checking in my truck properly.David H.

Granted, I was picking up the truck around the holidays, however, I had the worst experience with the customer facing U-haul reps there. The sales person that helped me inside was not wearing a mask - it was around her chin. When I commented on this, she rolled her eyes pulled it over her mouth and not nose. She left it there for about 30 seconds and then pulled it back down again. I had to finish the rest of the drawn out checkout process with her mask off which made me very uncomfortable and in unhappy given the pandemic situation. There were plenty of other staff around all of whom were wearing masks, but none of them mentioned anything to this employee (who seemed to be the newest). Presumably the store manager would have noticed and said something to her. The rest of my interactions while there (e.g. the guy who set up my trailer) were pleasant and covid safe.BRANDON S.

Poor experience with uhaul in general. First booked 1525 bryant online for 3 hours starting 2 pm but wasn't informed by the system that I won't be able to return. Was suggested hundred things to buy while booking and purchased mattress covers but at the location it didn't come up as I have purchased. People at the location weren't wearing masks. Didn't tell me the exact location of parked truck and gas was lower than 3/8. When filling up the truck it was acting up as tank is full. Uhaul sucked badly. I used the mobile app to check in and the fuel level was lower then what was listed, I took a picture of the correct fuel level during check in (as requested by the mobile app) and returned the rental with the correct fuel level, but I was still charged a surcharge to bring the fuel level up to the (incorrect) listed levelTzeYee S.
We had a confirmed reservation for 7:30am pickup, I confirmed the time at 11pm the night beforehand, when we arrived we were told â€œit had been rescheduled due to the equipment not being returned yetâ€ - There were 4 other 6x12 trailers in the lot available, but we were told we could not take one due to other reservations prior to ours. Which makes no sense considering I scheduled to be the FIRST pickup of the day, but we agreed to come back at 12:30pm when our equipment was supposed to be returned. When we returned, we waited for our equipment and by 1:30 it had not arrived. The very unhelpful representative finally agreed to call the person who was supposed to be returning the equipment - they said they would be at the location in 15-20 minutes. We waited another hour and finally called the central Uhaul number because the representatives would not tell us anything. THATS WHEN WE WERE TOLD THE PERSON PRIOR TO US CALLED IN 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO EXTEND THEIR RESERVATION WHICH WAS APPROVED. So we were a day and a half late to start a 16+ hour drive with only 2.5 days off from work. The representatives at the locations were rude and unhelpful, and Uhaul's reservations systems allowed an extension on a reservation that the next people were WAITING ON SITE FOR. Better communication, better back up equipment options, better IT systems could have avoided all of our frustrations. We will be buying our own trailer or renting from any other vendor for our next move as a result.Kai O.

The woman at the register was extremely rude and clearly did not care about helping out the customers. She was on her cell phone while she was talking to me and shoved my paperwork towards me while looking down at her phone. She also had her mask pulled all the way down to where is wasn't covering her nose or mouth. On a different note the gentlemen outside helping us out with the tow dolly were a lot more friendly and attentive. Though they were not aware of how a car should be towed because they advised me to leave my front wheel drive car in neutral and with the e-brake on the entire 400 mile trip. Cars do not turn off while in neutral so essentially they were telling me to leave my car on that entire time. Very frustrating and stressful when you are given wrong information and can potentially be damaging to customers cars. Fortunately I thought that sounded odd so I called with my dad to confirm. I received a call as I was driving to pick up a truck I ordered online at 1525 Bryant St., SF when the store informed me the truck is not available and directed me to the Bay Shore location. I waited for an email confirmation but none came. I went to Bay Shore store and the manager told me they were not notified about the change and they have no truck available. Luckily as we were talking one came in that I was able to use. I returned the truck and realized later that I left my jacket in the cab. I called U-Haul help line and they said they will email the store to check and the store will contact me. I have not heard back yet.Terrance H.

This was the worst experience I've ever had hands down and you better believe this won't be the only place I'm reaching out about it. every review channel every phone number you have... expect to hear from me. After being told my the van company that we could only have the van till 5 even tho we rented it for the day because "other people needed it" our movers were then 2 hours late (booked by UHaul) and when we got to your "facility" we are told the unit size we reserved not only isn't available but doesn't exist. at which point the dude who was "helping us" called over Wendy who obviously couldn't care less about what was happening even though I had 2 movers waiting that had already completely unloaded our van and STILL she wanted to make us go to the Bryant location to get a Ubox from them instead. The most mismanaged badly run facility i've ever seen. While i was there i heard 2 other people have meltdowns because you guys ruined their reservations and took payment for services you could not provide. whoever the GM is, expect to be hearing from me. I had to pay my movers an extra $120 to stay another hour since this dumpster fire of a situation took up an hour of the time they were supposed to be moving my stuff into the unit. On top of this nightmare the one locker available was at the top of a pully ladder stacked ontop of another unit. AND IT'S $40+ MORE THAN WHAT I RESERVED ONLINE. I expect this price match to be met after this hellfire saga. I have to say the mismanagement of this location is a joke. I waited for a very long time for the sole staff available (20 min). I had rented an 8x8x8 storage. She had to unlock the storage first, yet she chose to take care of the next client. After waiting for an additional 10 min, we proceeded to my storage unit. I discovered that a quarter of the unit was occupied by a very large column (2.5 x 3). She mentioned she knew about it and almost insinuated that I should have known; she insisted that it was an 8x8x8. The unit was useless to me as I needed to place 2 large items (a couch and an erg machine). She refused to upgrade me. She refused to help out finding an alternate facility. I eventually had to drive close to 30 miles away to be able to store my items. A terrible experience unlike the one at the Oakland Coliseum's.
