Wish there was a way to approve the driver's license and application before you get all the way to the store and then sit there for 15 minutes. If I wasn't approved I would've been upset having drove 30 minutes one way to pick up a truck.Cassie C.

Everything went ok. Forgot my garage door openers in the vehicle and didn't remember until after hours. Surprised no one from the location called me when they found them. Will end up going back to collect them. No problems with rental itself.Nolan W.
I had a stressful start to my recent truck rental which ultimately had a happy ending. However, two days before my pickup I received a call changing my pickup location because the initial spot didn't have the truck I needed. The customer service rep told me the closest location with the 10 foot truck was on Butternut St. In Syracuse. When I arrived, I was very confused because it was a convenience store when I was expecting to see a UHaul location. I wish the customer service rep had explained to me this wasn't a proper rental pickup spot but rather a neighborhood UHaul site which has 1-2 trucks at a time and is not the locations primary business. From there, it got worse because when I went inside to ask for the truck, the store clerk informed me they had NO trucks available even though I was told to pick it up there at 8am and I had movers arriving at 9am. I had to race to the nearest UHaul rental site so I could talk to a human and not wait on hold with customer service. Ultimately, the GM of the site sorted it out and found me a 10 foot truck in Cicero. This was more running around than I had planned and added unnecessary stress when moving (to NH) was stressful enough. But once it was figured out, the local emoloyees in Syracuse and Cicero were wonderful and I'm thankful for their professionalism.Jana B.

Customer service was non existent at this location. I would drive over to the Taft road store before dealing with the woman in charge here. She needs a class in dealing with the public, ie. saying, ""Sorry for the wait"; "Sorry for your trouble in the yard (gate wouldn't open, broken lock) . Waiting lines very long. Beggars can't be choosy, I rented a pickup truck for a 4 hour incremental rate, the best time I could get reserved was for 5:00 p.m. the slight was there was only 2.5 hrs of daylight left in the day the time frame was a bit of a crunch time wise . Reported to Waterbury location. The truck smelled of cat urine once we were in it for a few minutes had to buy an air freshener. Also left it with a full tank of gas not 7/8 and still got charged $23 for extra miles. It took $78 in gas in shoreham Vt and then another $102 in Stowe definitely something wrong with the gas tank! My unit had insulation droppings all over my belongings for over a year. I complained in person to the person at the counter and also online. Was never given any solutions other than my own follow up to contact them during the week to "schedule" a time for me to move my belongings so the could clean it up. I had to clean it up myself several times and clean off my personal items of the droppings. The unit had insulation damage at the time of issue and should not have been given to me. As I travel for a living I am not always available and is why I haven't moved out before. My entire experience with UHaul for moving and storage for the last 4 years was really great and exceeded my expectations in every way. The drive-up storage facility in Cicero is gated with video security, and accessible 24-7 through electronic passes. Super convenient with great service from move in to move out. My storage unit had a leaky roof. It ruined some of my belongings. I was forced to move my things to a different location. I was offered no help to move my things. I was forced to rent a truck from U-Haul and only given a $15 discount towards the truck. After paying for the truck and movers it cost me $254. Very unfair. I was told by the GM Philip that the MCP will not do anything else to help me. It turned out that not only was my door broken and that let the elements and mice in, but the roof leaked as well, soaking all my furniture and electronics. My storage unit went to crap and I had to clear it all out and pay $130 to dump it in the local dump. Uhaul needs to provide better weather resistant locks if they they insist customers must use their equipment. Locks will freeze in the harsh weather , making it impossible to access storage unit. Keys for the locks are even worse, not durable at all.Sheri B. | Overall Experience

Alesha Mowers was super nice and very informative. I felt like she went above and beyond to make me feel at ease and fully taken care of. I didn't have any questions because she answered any before I could ask. It's always a nice to interact with someone like her. I even arrived right before closing and usually people get annoyed with that because they're ready to go home and be done with their shift but she was happy and helpful and even made me laugh at times. I left there feeling better then I did when I arrived. Moving is stressful and having to store my things while im in-between places with my lease at one place ending 30 days before my new one starts... she someone how made all that stress just disappear.
