Customer service is as okay, they guy that we returned the uhaul to was awesome. He was super nice and when we addressed the issues he was right on it and letting us know what was up. All in all it was a good experience. Just old uhauls honestly. Check engine light came on when we made our first haul to the new place and made me super nervous so we didn't do another one after. When reviewing the contract with us they only mentioned putting the gas back to the same amount so that we don't get that charge. They NEVER said that we needed to check the uhaul in if we return it after hours even though we returned it early and slapped us with a fee. Uhaul's lack of accurate data to make informed decisions when planning and ordering online. I first ordered a 17' truck from Timely Treasures with "guaranteed reservations" because it is closer to my move. Got a phone call after reserving it They didn't have a truck at all and I was moved to the Bragg blvd location. So much for guaranteed reservations... strike 1 i reserved an appliance dolly in my order...none were available upon arrival at Bragg. Strike 2..You need to get better at accurate information that is reflected online. When I recieved a confirmation the pick up location changed, I should be informed that they have no dollys. I had a refrigerator to move and your lack of notification created a much more difficult move and disabled our ability to find an alternative because we trusted what you have in your online system... strike 3 Get your employees to take the time to make sure your data is accurate. It would be awesome to have a check-in booth for pickups, the current process is too slow (over 30 minutes on this visit.) this location due to the amount of customers is very slow processing both the sales and equipment dispatch, a sign-in booth would allow for the client to input 98% of the information like names, driver license information and pay with credit card so the clerk only has to verify the data.Gilberto D.

The truck was absolutely disgusting! The cab was trashed with bottles, paper, dirt, coffee stains, and reeked throughout the cab and storage area. Additionally, the truck drove as it the transmission struggled. The fuel level when it was picked up was below 5/8 but needed to be returned at 3/4. I made my reservation at the location nearest my residence on the 11th to be picked up on the 15th at 10 am. I received an email on the 15th at 9:40am changing the location to the across town Uhaul (Bragg Blvd). I think that notice could have been sent prior to 20 mins before the appt time. While at the pick up there was only 1 attendant assisting with customers who were there to pick up equipment yet there were two other employees in the area of the desk who kept walking throgh the area, they could see the line was long with customers yet did things other than asissting with customers. So picking up the equipment took much longer than what it should have, in my opinion. The employee checking us out appeared to be doing her best at helping us. After using the auto transport I returned it the same day around 1 pm. At 3 pm I had to call to remind them to send me a receipt. When the receipt was sent it was just another copy of the contract and not a receipt. The following day (16th) when the trailer was schedule to be returned at 10 am, the Uhaul location called me at 3:15 pm looking for the trailer. I informed her that I had returned the trailer the day prior. She then said she would send me a receipt. When she sent the receipt, the trailer appeared to be turned in at 10 am on the 16th. Why was the trailer logged in at the contract return time as opposed to the actual time it was returned? There were just a few things that could have been done differently, handled better that would have made this a much better experience.Paul D.

The person who rented the truck to me was talking about how sick she was and sniffling the whole time. Uhaul has the dumbest policy of making people who hold out of state licenses give two names and phone numbers. That's an invasion of those people's privacy, they have nothing to do with the transaction. If I hadn't needed the truck first thing in the morning I would've walked out over either of these two things. I will not be back.Corbin H.

I asked for a hand dolly, none were available so they gave me an appliance dolly and charged me 10.00 for it and a hand dolly was only 7.00 they changed my location for picking up the vehicle 3 times and I asked for the vehicle at 6am but didn't get it until they opened the store at 7 or 7:30 which put me 2 hours behind schedule, I would not recommend Uhaul again was very disappointed with the service.Dwayne M.

Overall we had a good experience with Uhaul. The only problem I have is I think that we were overcharged for the mileage. I wasn't the one picking up or dropping off the Uhaul so I wasn't able to check it myself but other than that everything was fineTimothy J.

My storage bill was due in the 18th of each month. When I went to turn in my access key at 9:45am on the 18th, I was told I had a balance for the upcoming month. I was told I would be responsible to pay that month even though I was no longer in the unit. After argument and a phone call to however, I was cleared with a zero balance. Absolutely foolish! I did contact the store to ask what protocol was. There are times where I had to wait in line 30-45 mins just to buy something from the store or ask a question. Maybe you should improve the concrete ramp at the West end of the storage building with unit #646/5' x 10'. We struggled on this using the cart for a couple loads until we found the ramp on the East end of the building was better suited for use with the cart. When booking the storage , we were told it would be 24/7 all we had to do was enter our access code. I double checked with the representative that had helped me to make sure because we were traveling 4hours to this site. I was assured i would be able to put my things in storage 24/7. We get to the site at around 10:07 and attempt to put in our code. It said access denied- closed. I called the Number on the sign for after hour assistance no answer. I called the U-Haul customer service number and was on the phone with her. She told me we were misinformed and tried to reach out to the gm for me. No answer. We had to camp out in our cars till the storage opened because we couldn't get in. Yes I would recommend them if you haul learns how to answer their phones when their customers are calling to let them know that they did take all their belongings out of the unit and that the lock was still there but they want to charge you $117 but they won't answer the phone so that you can let them know when you work everyday and they're closed by the time you get home to inform them that the unit was empty and that they could have taken or cut the lock off if they needed to but nobody answered the phonestacia M. | Overall Experience

I was pleased with my selection of Uhaul for storage. It was a pleasant surprise to see the unit and its size. I have more than ample room to store my belongings. My bill was due in the 22nd of every month. I was able to secure a rental property moving my furniture on the 26th (4) days later to be billed for another month. That is unacceptable plus no at this location is never able to answer the phone. The call center can't help problems at a particular location. No I would recommend nor use U-haul in the future. I was involved in an auto accident earlier in the year and advised U haul management that I was not able to pay the full unit rental and asked to be but into a smaller unit after a caught the payments up on the first unit. I did so and they didn't put me in a smaller unit. I just got out the hospital 4 days ago and answered an email in what my intentions were and I asked to make a partial payment and they refused to except that. Than they expressed other alternatives prior to auction and they never offered that as well. So my unit was sold and there was an overage which was due back to me. When I went to see the store manager Ms Kim she was rude and telling me that there was no credit due back to me when in fact there was because the letter clearly stated such credit. She made a big deal of it stating that she didn't have the cash or she didn't know how to do a credit. At the end of it she said the corporate office would half to send a check by mail which is fine but why did I half to come and spend an hour in the store for you to tell me this. I tried to call the store several times prior to going into the store. No one answered and I kept getting the stores voice mail. So not a good feeling dealing with U Hall at all. Not a pleasant experience at all. They could of worked out a plan for me especially by me being in the hospital after the auto accident.Kim K. | Overall Experience

So there are a couple of things here I would like to say. While the help I received was good, it took forever to get said help. I waited for 45 minutes before seeing the only rep behind the counter (2 days in a row on 09 and 10 Nov). Then on the second day after receiving my card to access the storage I had to wait for it to activate, I was unaware of this. So I tried to access the gate without luck and then went back inside to wait 20 more minutes to be let in by the rep. Also I was not briefed and am not sure how payments occur for storage. Like if it is all auto payments, or if I will be paying for 1st and last month, or need to pay monthly at the location. If that is the case I only need the unit for 2 months and need to end my contract now. So I will also need to read the contract in full to see if these questions are answered there. The storage was great the truck however was the issue first a tire blew then head gasket all in the same day and then they couldn't find anyone to transfer truck loads so we did it .
