Well when the truck is not ready at time you suppose to have it , then apologise and make sure time gets added back on the back end. I am small business owner and I 100% fully understand the labor shortage. Aklso the app would not allow my pictre to return it back. I could never get past the picture of Fuel odometer. and it wa clear and everything. Finally had to go inside to do it.Amish D.

Customer service sucked, but we got on our way. the strap on the car hauler was worn out and kept coming loose. We had to stop every 30 min and tighten the strap. We drove thru the night so getting on and off exits and being roadside to tighten strap was a nightmare. Two times the strap had completely come off the tire. (drivers side)Debra S.

The mobile app wouldn't allow me to upload the picture of the gas and mileage; it was roughly 10:00 pm when I dropped the truck off at this site. after 6 failed attempts with this app, I left the vehicle there and dropped in the keys in the drop-off box. the next morning I tried calling the box road location to confirm my return, the UHAUL call service gives no option to connect me to that specific location. I live 40 minutes away and had to drive back to the location just to speak with someone to confirm. thankfully the team member was nice and helpful.Jessica K.

This site made changes to the reservation made through the national 800 number and those changes nearly made the movers screw up the dates. Also, when I went in person originally to reserve the vehicle, the rep on site put little effort into making the best offering for me. Fortunately I called the 800 number to ask a question and the rep there consolidated my order and made suggestions that saved me time and money. I wish the Box Rd folks were as knowledgeable or dedicated. To the question above as to whether I would recommend the location, the answer is more of a yeah, but only if going to another location is not doable.Cassondra T.

Only one man was serving customers. Manager showed after I had been standing in line for more than 30 min. Same employee who waited on the customers went out and prepped the trailer for hookup. This was an outstanding employee, but customers should have been waited on much quicker. This has often been a place I received outstanding service. A was let down this time but it was not because of that employee who took responsibility seriously.CARL P.
The service was good. Appreciate the help. The truck was a horrible drive. Shook so bad when empty. Brake maintenance light stayed on. When I returned the truck I got a very quick check in. They did have 4 or 5 returns still in the return line.EDWARD S.

I reserved my uhaul truck a week prior. The day of my reservation I go to the location and my 26 ft truck is not there. No solution was given the storage manager was rude and unsympathetic. I had to call the corporate line and was stuck with a 6x12 trailer. This is unacceptable, i reserved a truck and was not given one or an explanation as to why the truck was unavailable. Next time I will not be using Uhaul as my moving truck service.JACOB M.

When picking up my rental. They had me put air in a tire. And within I was stuck on the freeway with a 3 year old and a flat tireAngela T.
This was my first time using U-Haul and I have been renting cars, trucks and equiptment for 40 years. I used U-Haul because of the availibility on the equiptment I needed. Although, U-Haul was the most expensive; I found the services overall to be Excellent. My suggestion is: "The U-Haul web-page should be processing entry data at a much faster rate."Jeff H.

I would like to report a defect in the vehicle I used and request a claim be initiated. The â€œmom's atticâ€ portion of my u-Haul vehicle was leaking and got a substantial amount of the items I was transporting wet. The water leak damaged my items and cause some irreparable spoiling of clothes and kitchen items. On the bright side, the employees at the Veterans Memorial Blvd location were very helpful and understanding of my issue and damage.GABRIEL P.

Your customer service guy tried to be very helpful; however, U-haul and it's corporate operations are sub par. I had to wait over an hour once I arrived because there were only two workers on location and they were overwhelmed with the busiest week of the year. I had to drive all the way to GA just to pick up a truck because uhaul canceled my other reservations due to truck shortages and then I had to absorb the extra fees and mileage for a filthy truck.Wende Z.
I reserved a 15 ft truck on July 11th for July 30th. When I got to the location, my reservation was not in they're database, nor did they have a truck. I had to move out that day and had to have the truck no matter what. I had to go to two different locations to finally get a truck. It took 2 and a half hours past my initial reservation time to get a truck. It was a 20ft truck, for which the charged me the full price, even though I only needed the 15ft. When I finished moving I dropped the truck off, handed the keys to the attentat two hours prior to the deadline. They did not check the truck in until 4 hours after the deadline and attempted to charge me for another day. It was the worst rent experience I have ever had.Matthew B.

I originally scheduled a pick up for 8 am in Auburn, but was told it would have to be at 3 pm and in Columbus because they had no trucks available, which I understand. I was frustrated with the fact that I reserved the truck online (and thought it was done with) until I received a call from uhaul informing me of the change. I also couldn't drop the truck off in Auburn, I had to drive BACK to Columbus (50 min drive in one direction) and they didn't cover any of the miles, despite the fact that I would've only driven 20 miles with the Auburn location and drove over 100 with Columbus. Almost the same exact thing happened with my sister too, so I know it wasn't a unique experience.Courtney S.

I was notified 2 days before my move that I had to drive over an hour to pickup my uhaul in a completely different time zone. I wasn't even going to be compensated for the extra miles I had to drive until I requested urgently to the representative over the phone. The representative acted in a unprofessional and unapologetic manner for the inconvenience that we were caused after securing the uhaul 2 weeks prior. Prior notice (before 2 days) that there was not availability at the location would've been bare minimum in regards to customer service, but I expected to at least have a location closer than an hour from my home as we prepared to move to a different state that day. Threw a massive wrench in our plans. Really disappointed overall and will definitely use a different, more reliable service with my next move.CASEY H.

Have locks for the trailers in-stock and free for use. These trailers are U-Haul's equipment, and securing them should be U-Haul's responsibility at least as far as the equipment goes. Furthermore, the $100 insurance that I paid for should also cover theft, especially if this company is going to make me pay for a trailer lock to fully secure the trailer and then not have it in stock.ABBY G.

When taking reservations over the phone make sure you reserve the correct size truck for your customer. If a pickup truck isn't available let the customer know ahead of time. Do Not put them in a big truck that they do not feel comfortable nor safe in.DELETA D.

Rude. Didn't have all the equipment I reserved and failed to make me aware so I had to scramble to find what I needed. They had no compassion or empathy and didn't try do make it right. I had rat/ mice droppings in 95% of my boxes. Rats/ mice had chewed through my clothing and other items. I had to throw away so much stuff due to the rats/ mice destroying the items. Almost everything smelled like rat urine and this was a inside storage room. Several expensive items were stolen from my storage and the staff, manager, general manager nor the owner did anything!
