stephaine d | First ImpressionsNote. Sherwood location changed my pickup to baseline location. This review is not for baseline it is for Sherwood location at end of Kiehl. Baseline employees were helpful and we are thankful for them saving the day. I made my reservation for an enclosed trailer more than a week before pickup. When I showed up at 7am and told Sherwood location employees my name, big fella with the beard asked if I was picking up the trailer, when I said yes he laughed and says “we ain’t got it” . Unclear on if he was joking or not I asked if he was serious. Still with a smirk on his face “yeah bro I ain’t got it sorry, we have (1) rented and it didn’t make it back so I was hoping you wouldn’t show up today”. And told me all he could do was give me a tiny trailer. Boss man comes out and asks me the customer if they have the trailer I ordered on the lot? I say no clue man there should be because I have a reservation. He offered me the same size trailer in exchange but it was open to the elements. We were scheduled to move in this day and told him we were moving valuables and 4 hour trip away. He tried to call other locations and none nearby had one either, all while doing this is giving me the out of luck look. They had 60 trucks out front, so being a business owner the right thing to do would to be offer me the truck at the same rate. I don’t get this treatment as a paying customer. They send me to the hood on baseline road across town and doesn’t update my pickup time. Thankfully when I pulled up to baseline location they actually had brains in there head and great customer service. 5star to baseline rd location. And a fat DO BETTER to the hood acting employees at the Sherwood location. Will never use uhaul again after this is the 2nd time this has happened to me at Sherwood location. Monopoly and poorly managed/operated

james wI wanted to say that EZ Movers (gotten through uhaul)were a great deal and the two men, Alec and Hayden, were a godsend. They couldn't have been more courteous and helpful. Please let the company know for me. Also,the lady at Uhaul was very kind and very sweet. My only complaint is $1 (0.99) a mile is more expensive than expected.

jose gWe were originally supposed to pick up our U-Haul in Cabot, but we got a call that the location was closed so we had to use Baseline. Well we got there at 7am (our pick up time) and it said our equipment was not available. We waited there for an hour and a half, I called the help line, was on “hold” for the whole hour and a half. An employee showed up, and I asked her for help & she said “I cant help you” and went inside. Interestingly enough, after she had been inside for about 10-15 minutes, our equipment was suddenly available. So it seems they were not prepared for our 7am pickup time. That was very frustrating. So then we drop off the truck, and a different lady was outside & took the key and said she would get it returned. Well the next day we get a call saying we didn’t return the key… also VERY frustrating. We were also charged a fee for NOT returning the key. This location was very incompetent.

Janice GI returned the uhaul that was rented. While rented a branch fell and clipped the corner and busted a corner cap of the truck off. It was clear this happens a lot because you could tell it had already been repaired. I went inside and had the rep take a look, he said that it wasn’t enough damage to report so don’t worry about it. I said are you sure? He stated I am sure. There won’t be a damage claim. I had the person with me hear his words verbatim. To my surprise I wake up the next morning with a Charge on my credit card. I am not upset about the charge. I get there was damage. It’s very disappointing that they can say that and then go back and charge you. Very poor customer service. I have tried to reach out to the GM but can’t get a call back.
Jana RUpon getting the unit I was told that my unit was inside the building (assuming it was the Geyer Springs) I didn’t move in or locate the storage until 2 days later Big mistake the rep never clarified that it was the raggedy building behind the office I never knew a inside existed to that building..I was giving storage 351 it had a lock on it.. So I was moved to storage 600 took everything out the van placed it in the storage the storage wouldn’t close..(had to place everything back in the van only to have to move again to storage 625 it’s filthy with ants but being on a time frame with the van and having to be out the residents in a timely fashion I had no choice but to move in the storage.. highly upset about the whole experience now I’m having to pay more monies for a storage that’s bigger then what I needed.. Terrible experience I only chose uhaul this time because I used them last year.. But never again…

Baron Mfirst of all I had to go 17 miles one way to obtain the equipment and was charged the extra mileage which I will be contacting someone for a refund for the extra mileage, 2nd the first truck they tried to give me drivers door would not open and when brought to their attention comment was, oh yeah that one, do you want a different truck? upon returning the equipment the person left in charge really didn't have a clue what he was doing I guess the 2 ladies were late for lunch and didn't stick around to help, I told my wife to keep a sharp eye on my account and make sure correct amount was withdrawn. In the future if my local u-haul can not provide me with the equipment I'm needing without a big hassle I will be forced to use someone else. I was VERY disappointed with my resent experience.

SCOT GTried using the U-haul app for equipment return, but could never get it to work. It would hang up at the “getting my location” step (I had location permissions turned on).
Roger PI only had my niece helping me unload a 20 ft truck and when we got finished, we both could barely move much less take the truck to another facility so it had 3/4 full of gas because I thought I'd have to drive it to another location, but the sweet lady inside U-Haul let me park it there and she took care of it. I wouldn't have been able to drive to another location and today I can barely move from the pain. Next time I'll be better prepared than to hire movers that change their prices on me causing a disabled woman to unload her own truck. I'm happy to have such wonderful people their at 5518 Base Line Rd. U-Haul !! Their the best and wonderful customer service!! I would definitely recommend them to anybody. Thanks girls!!!!

Phyllis GMy items were damaged in a climate controlled storage and I received no assistance. Instead I got the run around for my items that were damaged and they kept wanting to charge me for a storage. There is no way my items should’ve been damaged wet and mildewed being stored in an inside unit. I would never recommend U-Haul to anyone. The manager Sean only told me that it had been a lot of rain but that’s no excuse for an inside unit. I emailed and called never received any type of follow up or assistance.

Brian HIf the truck is unavailable, the center needs to inform the customer that they not only set them up with a new location that has the truck available but that they also change their truck size! The size truck I reserved was unavailable at the location I chose. They did call and tell me they changed my pick up to a location that has it and when I got there, the location did not have the size I wanted, they told me that the original pick up location changed my truck from a 20’ to a 26’ without my knowledge, the new pickup location in fact did not have the truck available, AND the ORIGINAL pick up location changed my drop off day from the same day (which I chose) to two days later. Making my entire reservation incorrect. The girl helping me at the new location was somewhat helpful.

Then was charged for both storage units. Again I had made it very clear that I was wanting to use the free month storage promo.

In the future I will most likely exclusively use that U-Haul location for my storage needs.
