We did not have any problems with this uhaul location. The owner was supper nice when we returned the truck. We did have hudge issues with uhuals customer service! They left us stranded at 3 am on the lot trying to figure out our rental for an hour. This had nothing to do with the owner. I know next time to call ahead and make sure everything is ready to go and not just rely on what uhaul says. They also offered compensation and nothing has been done yet.
Adam PWe chose a site that had self-serve check in available, because we were on a tight timeline. We got to the store right on time, used the app to locate the truck reserved for us, only to find an employee and another customer there, and the employee telling her that that was her rental. She was telling him it wasn't. We showed him our app screen, and he took the key and disappeared inside. Came out 5 minutes later and apologized that apparently they just assumed the other woman (another white female) was (my last name). Gave us our key. We loaded up, already behind and irritated at this point, and the same employee tells us we have to go inside and check in. Why? We've already checked in on-line, paid, signed contracts...that's how we got to the trick and got the key. He says at that location you have to go inside anyway. So my husband went inside for this unnecessary, extraneous check in, and waited FIFTEEN DAMN minutes. Someone inside seemed confused about why he was checking in inside. He was super agitated by the time he came out, and we wound up 45 minutes late to our scheduled rendezvous. This location needs to elect not to allow self check in if they aren't going to honor it, or they need to get there crap together.

Keann ZHonestly the worst experience I've had using Uhaul. My reservation got moved several time. I had to drive further to a location that did not have my setup. My setup was changed. I had to drive further. Then when I asked for extra time I was charged more. Some of the customer service felt very withdrawn, if not very rude. I felt like I budgeted my rate at $250 from my previous rental rate & then I got charged $470. What should have been a 4-6hr endeavor lasted 14hrs.. so, no, not the best experience with your company.

Javier SWhen I returned the truck, I was charged extra for the mileage that I ran over the predicted amount of miles during the rental deposit, which I had no problem with, I expected it. What I am not happy with is that in my bank account it shows a charge of almost twice the amount I was charged upon during the return. I called the location and spoke to a wonderful young lady about it, and informed me that someone would reach out to me who would be able to discuss this issue with me, but I never heard back from anyone. I would really like to be refunded the amount of the overcharge.

When I called, I was told to log in the self service, which was not in the instruction, not in the drop down or pop out on Uhaul.com. So how does this work? Luckily the store was still open and they went out of their way to help me. Unfortunately the Vehicle had not been cleaned and was missing a mirror, plus trash was left behind. It was raining excessively, it was closing, there was a line of people, and the yardman was very green. It worked for me, so no worries. Thank you.

Amore F | Overall ExperienceWell maintained; but there was a cleanliness issue concerning the pavement in the storage area. The pavement area next to the storage lockers needs to be swept at least weekly; which did not seem to be happening. I would see glass in light debris on the pavement in the storage area; but NOT elsewhere at the facility. In seeing some broken glass on the pavement; I worried that he could be just enough to puncture a tire; for it was not highly visible. My initial experience with an employee at a facility close by to yours; about 5 yeas and a month ago; really helped me; for I never thought I would use your facility for about 61 months. Management must be doing a pretty good to great job at the facility; for the workers are friendly and seem to be of high morale; especially for lower -level jobs. I remember the names of Sara Yanez and Cody; but ALL employees were nice to me and seemed to be nice to others; that after weeks of high temperatures in San Antonio, that had to be harder on your workers who spent a lot of time outdoors. Thus I will have fond memories of my final weeks going in and out of your storage facility; and will recommend it to friends.
David F | Overall Experiencebeware: My experience was great when I moved in my belongs have been there for 4 years but in the past 7 months someone has decided to cut my lock and help theirselves to my belongings tossing everything all over the place to leave an extreme mess for myself and feel violated because they went through everything I own they put a new lock on my unit I guess they were coming back for my stuff they also busted through the back wall my suggestion is if you leave your stuff here check on it frequently. Ray was very nice but his staff was very unhelpful.

I called uhaul and spoke with a representative told her the situation not only did she show empathy she notated the account and when I got my new card the branch supervisor waived the late charge. It's the small things to keep a customer coming back.

Before I moved out, I had a situation where the movers were delayed. The manager sent one of the employees with a bottle of water. Also talked to me to check if there was anything that could be done to help. I’m in customer service. So those little gestures go a long way with me. So if you do store or employee recognition. Both of these things should happen here.

Instead we got emails saying "your next rent payment is due". I called complaining to an operator, who left a message for the store, that we'd already moved out of the unit. No one from that uhaul ever called us back. It's now 14 days later & still no receipt, nor proof that they'd even checked the unit we'd vacated, yet. There were often employees just standing around when we'd stopped in during our rental period there too. I'd think they could be checking vacated units, etc. Lazy, slow employees!
