There was not even no discounts given the fact that Uhaul made my move more expensive instead of saving me money, I had to travel an extra 20 miles for my move and pay for that. The 24 hour rental vehicle drop-off process was a bit confusing. I wouldn't have known about it if a technician had not told me as he was leaving for the day after closing. Key drop box location should be better indicated on the contract Or on a notice affixed near the main office door. The location of the key drop box was poorly lit on the far edge of the property away from the main building and office. Well the staff in NV at pick up were nice. And the Staff @ the Arden Way facility were very nice. Now It took forever because U-hauls computers weren't excepting the input. The other problem is the price on line along with availability was dead wrong! Then asking me to drive 200miles to pick up the trailer was Not ok. Also Not telling me there is One way trailers and "local trailers" was quite the surprise Also ... Then A large one way costing 50.00 less than on line or 1800 u haul quote on line.. I arrived and my reserved truck made at another location was nowhere to found. When I showed my printed document the employee stated the other uhaul must have made a mistake because there was no truck for me for another 1.5 hrs. The employee kept searching, almost sent me away a few times. Turns out there wasn't one but two trucks available outside. I waited 25 mins to be helped then another half hour dealing with the mess of trying to find a truck. Waste of my time and really unreliable. I also overheard the lady next to me talking about her reservation not being ready also and that she always has this problem with that location. I'm not sure what the problem is at this location but I will do my best to never use uhaul again.Monica M.

The truck was spotless inside and was an older truck, so that was pretty impressive. It ran really well. I've rented other trucks in the past that seemed to barely run, in fact they were down right scary, but this one was a champ! The staff was very courteous even when I was in a bad mood when I returned it. Who wouldn't be after moving most or their house into a storage unit. They didn't skip a beat with my worse than usual attitude. I will say though that the female employee was friendlier and more courteous than the male, which goes a long ways when you're stressed out to begin with!! Many kudos to them!!STEVIN S.

I made a reservation online 5 days ahead and the location was changed 3 times before my rental, when I went to pick up the trailer, I was offered a different trailer from what I ordered. There was a trailer on the lot that I wanted and was told that it was already reserved. When I returned 6 hours later, that same trailer was still sitting on the lot. I can't help but wonder what kind of computer programming you use and your ability to follow your inventory. This experience has been pretty negative. I would go elsewhere but there aren't a lot of other options.Linda C.
The truck was filthy and had a low oil indicator light on when I first started the truck. The employee put 2 quarts of oil in the truck and that took away the indicator light. While driving to my new house a different dash board indicator came on. So I pulled off of the freeway and waited 3 hours for a towing company to look at the truck. It was a very old truck and had over 181,000 miles on it. I guess I am upset because I had to sit on the side of the freeway with very little indication if you were doing anything. It was stressful because I thought I was going to have to unload this aged truck and reload it on the side of the road and then unload it again. Very stressful things to have to think about on top of moving out of state.Christopher W.

Clearance lights on the trailer I rented were not operational. The associate at the store was great and helped me connect the trailer to my vehicle, but we did not check the lights. Thankfully, the stop lamps at least worked fined. The remainder of the lighting was inoperable.Andrew D.

You could actually find a pickup closer than 123 miles, one way, to pick up the trailer. Driving from Half Moon Bay to Sacramento, a total of 246 miles round trip to pick up a trailer is ridiculous. This location gets a high rating, but overall U-Haul gets a zero. I reserved a vehicle for Pickup at 4 PM On Saturday. On Thursday I was told the truck would not be available until 8:00 AM on Sunday, at a different location. When I got there at 8:00 I saw that they didn't open until 9:00. After waiting around for an hour, I was told that the truck I had reserved wasn't available and I'd have to go to a third location. When I got there, I was told that they didn't have the truck I'd reserved available either. They did take the time to track a truck down for me and get me what I needed, but it took 2 hours. I reserved both a 15' truck and an auto transport. The pickup facility didn't have my auto transport at the same location so I had to go 60 miles round trip outside of my way in the wrong direction (paying my own gas in the truck) to pick up the auto transport. I made the reservation a month in advance. Unacceptable service. The only consideration made was extra mileage, of which I still went over. I would not recommend ever renting a truck from Uhaul. They change rental locations with no warning or reason, and they then try to charge you extra for the increased miles and time you need the truck because of them.SAMUEL K.
Again, this was not our preferred location. It seems that after spending about $2000 with Uhaul, we would be able to at least have a preferred location on one end! This was in a very congested and shady side of town, the opposite from our new town. The process of after hours drop was simple and the truck itself was fabulous, getting us comfortably through mountains and plains.
