There's a blond haired Male employee that wears Oakley looking glasses and a blue tooth that's a longer jaw bone type... he's a prick. I'll never do business with uhaul again because of this asshole! As I attempted to return my rental more than 12 hours early, there was 2 trucks mostly blocking the way. I got out, so did my kids because who doesn't want to ride in a big truck? This blond dude says, "hey is that your truck, pull it between those trucks and wait to be checked out around the corner." My first thought was, that's your job, but I did, I parked it where he requested. Then I went to go inside to check out, here comes captain asshat, you sir need to stay with your truck and wait to be checked out. So. Me and the kids hung out on the bank bumper out of the sun, when the same guy came back around after 5 min, hey, the guy to check you out is right there, you better catch him or he's going to walk away. Ive been in customer relations for 24 years, I wanted to kick the shit out of this fuck. I'll pay 100% more to rent a Penske truck because uhaul employes total assholes! I've never been more humiliated, and pissed off to the point of ass kicking in my entire life! I'll take my money elsewhere!

Advise customers that a charge for $3.00 will be charged first then the deposit will be charged as a separate charge. I was very surprised and quite frankly mad to find 2 separate charges from U-Haul on my card. I'm still not sure what the $3.00 charge was for but maybe one of their employees needed a soda or something.

U-Haul was exceptional for customer service during my rental, they price matched after budget cancelled my truck a day before pickup. We had a blow out on a trailer tire and it was fixed within 45 mins, and when I needed to extend one day there were no issues. Thank you U-Haul.

The customer did the truck walk around for potential damage issues/documentation. Would suggest an employee join them, in case they are not familiar with the process. The actual paperwork, used to document any vehicle issues , is very small, with very little space for detailed descriptions of identified problems.

Make checking in via the app easier. The way it was explained to me by one of the store employees, even if I upload a photo of my drivers license to the app, I will still be asked to present my license when I go to the store to pick up rental equipment. If that is correct, it basically negates any convenience the app might have provided

Everyone I dealt with was helpful and wanted to do what was right by the customer. However the GM, guy with a big beard, only cares about his bottom line and not the customer. Everything to him was about the $$$. I was dropping off my car transport and one of his guys was talking with me about how to unhook the straps as it wasn’t working and he came running up and told me I owed him $10 for help. I understand the liability issue but I never asked the guy to do the work just how to undo the strap which was never explained to me, see my pickup location review. I could go into a second interaction like this about mileage again see pick up review but it’s the same thing. Al the staff again was accommodating and helpful. But the gm only cares about his bottom line and always seems put out. Would never even stop to answer questions from me or staff. Made them chase him for answers.

The job was done so I’ll give credit for the work done and my car coming back to me in the same condition as when I dropped it off. My appointment was at 11:30. I arrived five minutes late but called ahead of time to let them know. They said it would be fine. When i dropped it off i was told it was a 30 minute labor job. Cool. I understand that’s the length of the job but may take a bit longer if they are running behind. I didn’t receive my car until a bit past 1:30pm. Roughly two hours to get my car back for a 30 minute job seems a little ludicrous. it would have been acceptable if they gave me a reason for the delay or an update but I never received one. One hour, in I asked a sales rep for an update and was told that the technician was almost done. Almost 40 minutes later and it’s still not finished. I asked another rep who checked again but couldn’t give a time estimate. Twenty minutes later (nearly two hours) I got my car back. Worse is that there was no communication informing me of the delay, and the “waiting area” was anything but. Two chairs and a small coffee table. Luckily the first hour I was able to relax at a near-by coffee shop but it would have been unpleasant to stand for two hours in the store. I appreciate the person who booked my appointment when I called the week prior. She was pleasant and professional. The experience at the store could have been better with 1.) communication and 2.) a better waiting area.

I rented a car hauler here. The rachet mechanism that should secure the front wheels would not release allowing my vehicle to be properly secured. I ended up hauling the car 260 miles secured only by its parking brake.

This was the 3rd location that I got bounced around too, and I had a reservation preexisting, took half an hour to get checked in, then went to hook up, and the trailer they did the paperwork for didn't exist, had to change paperwork, then waited another 30 minutes to be hooked up, as I watched other people, 5 to be exact, get help before me, when I was there an hour before them.......... 3 hours and 25 miles later, just to rent a trailer, very unprofessional and very frustrating, thru this whole experience no one said sorry, and no one offered any discount, nothing, and never again.

When we first picked up the young lady said our vehicle wouldn't tow car trailer even though we have a special tow package to haul our 28 foot travel trailer. We then had a gentleman come & take over for for young lady & he figured out what she had done wrong. Thank you for relieving the stress.

Due to unforseen circumstances I was a little over an hour late returning the truck and the guy who was checking me in was a real jerk. "I'm not going to let that slide." I was charged for an entire extra day because I was a little over an hour late. I put gas in the vehicle and it was JUST under Full. The needle was actually pointing to full, he was gleeful in charging me over $7 for a sneeze worth of gas. The customer service from this location was borderline bullying with the sneers and condescending interactions.

Always have to wait for a very long time when I am at this location. Hard to believe it is the same company in that the Arizona locations have their act together and the experience with then has always been pleasant.

The location had our truck and trailer ready to go and were very helpful with getting set for our trip. The equipment was clean but The reason why I marked the equipment the way I did was we had two flat tires on the trailer two separate times on our trip. The man that fixed second flat noted that there was a plug in that tire. I am assuming the trailer was not inspected before we received it. I would think knowing that we were about to travel aprox 2700 miles that the company would inspect the tires at the least. When the main UHaul office called us to check to see if we were back on the road, we let them know that we were not happy about the 2 seperate delays on our trip and wondered if we could get compensation. They told us to speak with the drop off location and they would make note of it.

The trailer was old and it was hard to open and close because it was so rusted. If you opened the door too far it got stuck and was very hard to get closed. That trailer needed to be retired. It did pull well though.

This was the worst place I have ever been with uhaul. I tried pulling in to return my trailer. There were so many returns blocking the way I was lucky to not be in the street. This location has way too many trucks. There is no room. I had to go inside to find help with the trailer. And stood in line behind the customer being helped and watched 3 employees come and go and not one asked if I needed help. After the lady at the counter got off the phone with whoever she was calling about the guys problem, and she was done with the customer, I asked for help, returning the trailer. I was told just go wait outside someone will help you. I walked out and someone was out there and already removing the trailer. This shouldn’t happen without the owner of the vehicle there. I am not impressed. I have used uhaul for years. The service and equipment has drastically gone downhill. It may be time I look at using another provider.

Don't charge an ex wife of a deceased person for something YOU thought was unpaid. My ex husband had thousands in the bank, I sent in proof that his debit card was approved for the truck rental to clear out his apartment, someone at uhaul obviously did do thier job. The lady at u haul I talked to said if I can prove if was paid I wouldn't have to pay it again. I have nothing to prove at this time, you need to go find whoever at uhaul sat on the proof 2+ years ago and fire them. That mishandled transaction means I will never give u haul a good rating. Prove yourself to me, then I'll change my rating. Seriously, making an ex wife of a deceased person pay before I can get my life moving forward. You are hard hearted, over only $80 , good God. Have a nice fn day, you certainly ruined mine.

I don't have anything bad to say about the location the people in general or the equipment, however process left a little to be desired. I selected my preferred location and truck size online and was called later to tell me that the truck wasn't available even though I was clearly able to make the selection. I was directed to go to another location, went to pick up the truck but it was not a streamlined process as the system was not letting the employees do whatever they were trying to do, seemed like I wasted time online making the reservation just to go wait longer to pick up the truck. I told the employee that helped me that I wanted to return the truck to my preferred pickup location and the system wouldn't let them do it but I was told there would be notes in my order to allow me to return where I wanted to return. When I arrived to return the truck, guess what, no notes, I was told they couldn't receive that truck and that I would have to return it to the location where I picked it up from. So more wasted time driving to where I had to drop it off only to be told they couldn't receive it, the system wouldn't let them do whatever they were trying to do. The person that checked me in seemed to lack the knowledge on how to make the return happen ... more wasted time. The person finally called someone who helped complete the return, there was another employee there who was clearly more skilled with the system and was showing the person helping me what to do and where to click on the screen. So perhaps some additional training is in order. Unfortunately this is the second bad experience in a row with uhaul, so I will likely try another company in the future.

I have pictures.. I arrived at 11am.. having reservation, truck and trailer weren't ready.. after having wiring issues, I was able to leave 34 mins later.. Get to my destination, the volt meter drops to 10.. as loading vehicle and truck running it dies.. I call the 1800 number was asked to hold after 11 mins I hang up.. truck starts, volts stay at 10-12.. Make my drop.. go to get gas truck dies again 2 blocks from dealer.. let sit as I fuel the truck up, it starts and goes back to 12-14.. Get to the dealer and the tech made me feel as I was lying.. tried to get him to look at pictures and refused to.. I was mad because I know that messed with fuel mileage.. I asked him to have a manager to call me because I was unhappy with the service. The truck wasn't clean, took 34 mins to leave the dealer the 1800 number made me wait. I'm very unhappy with the service from this location.. I never had an issue with Hazel Dell. I had a slight issue with Lewisville hwy store but the owner gave me a break on price from full day to half day rental. The people at the dealer today have no customer service skills and the tech who was wiring trailer had no clue on what to do.. I still haven't received a call I'm very dissatisfied with the customer service and the condition of vehicle after spending $160 for 5 hours!! Never will I go back or recommend anyone to that location

The truck stunk. I was afraid it was going to make me stink. It smelled like a dirty sweaty person with dirty clothes ... I didn’t want to touch the interior it smelled so disgusting. When we arrived at our destination we left the doors open so air could flow through the cab. Still smelled awful tho. Never did get less stinky Also the person who checked us out had the personality of a tree stump. She was like a robot. Also her multitasking and it was annoying. She was having 2 conversations...one with us and one with an earbud. If your employees are reading off a script she doesn’t deviant one word. Spending almost 2 hours in the stinkinest truck on the planet wasn’t a pleasant experience ?? If someone told me they w are renting a truck from you guys...I’d tell them to bring a clothespin and some Vick’s.

In the store 3 times over 2 days. First, to confirm a quote for hitch installation. I expected a wait, but NOT only 2 csrs at a very large, presumably corporate location. Completely unacceptable to expect customers to wait more than 15 minutes for help. Furthermore, to hear the two say your computer system is unstable due to “upgrades” (again, presumably truthful reasoning to fed up patrons. This exact same conversation was had directly with me in April when I rented from you, too! Fix it! Why don’t your customer user card readers work? No good excuses!) Today, I rented a motorcycle trailer. You’re the only show in town for such a vehicle-i looked elsewhere first because of the aforementioned experience. Per your website, where I (thought) wisely I would book & pay, and then check in. When I arrived at your over filled property, parking was difficult. I got out of my vehicle, with a personal schedule to follow, found a rep outside and said I’d checked in, now what? He said I needed to go inside and check in. What gives?! So, o followed directions and found that today, only 1 person was at the counter. Same kind professional very red faced woman as yesterday. I waited. Again. The info she gathered was the same as the online info...so what’s the purpose of the online photos, etc? Outside to find someone to get the trailer, and now, hooked up to go (late on a tight schedule) we had a slow exit due to the over packed parking/ storing/returning area and one way onto the very busy road due to another customer having troubles. This location clearly needs more help and some sort of direction in terms of customer flow both indoors and outdoors. Super frustrating! Upon return, again, directed inside. No signs directing me where to drive to return, just a bit of a free for all or guess or biggest gets best spot kind of arrangement. I go inside to see that single star employee behind the counter, helping a family and a young man folding blankets. After waiting about 5 minutes, I asked him if I need to return the trailer to the area outside the door, out of any returning customers sight. He never made any eye contact with me in those 5 minutes but worked silently moving folded blankets in a plastic bag to a pallet of boxes where he was folding them again (?) “Oh”, he said, “I thought you were with them”. Offensive? Lazy? Fearful? Not sure but acknowledging my presence in the very busy store would have been nice. He stopped what he was doing and came outdoors and checked me out right away, after struggling with his hand held device. Finally, we were on our way to the next appointment. And, fwiw, why was not a single man wearing a name tag? The women working during each visit had name tags, not a single male did. UHaul has the market in its business for sure but your customers deserve better than this! Also worth noting, the woman who helped me on the phone was awesome- knowledgeable and professional and friendly.

5 stars for HUGH!! The staff here are Amazing. They treat each person with such respect and not just to the customers, to each other! They work so well as a team utilizing their ear pieces for coordinating the next steps to complete the checkout. They are personable and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this Team and location!

The check-out line was outrageously long, it took us 30 min to check out our equipment. Then it took another 5 min to wait for someone to check us out on the car trailer, and even then I had to call the gentlemen out to help us. Not to mention there were so many cars and trucks, we had to wait to pull out of the place. There just wasn't enough people on staff to accommodate the amount of customers there that day.

Worst customer service ever. Dude showed up 10 min late opening the shop, then instead of first come first served, he took whoever ran up to the counter quickest. I waited for an hour before opening only to have to wait an hour after opening. Two thumbs down. Plus the layout of the facility sucks. You had a giant traffic jam of people trying to all drop off their equipment in the same location.

Location opened 10 minutes late and then took over 35 minutes to check in (even though I checked in on the app) and get the truck. The attending clerk told me sorry for the delay and it was costing me $120 per hour as I had movers hired and waiting. Not happy with the crappy service and lack of customer care I received. In the future I will look to rent from other providers/locations.

Matthew is an amazing person and UHAUL is lucky to have him work for their company. Besides being extremely professional, he was extremely knowledgeable about the products I purchased. He helped me pick out a great bike rack for our new hitch that was getting installed. He looked online to see what was compatible with our vehicle and went outside to measure the clearance between the wheel cover and the hitch. Matthew recommended certain racks and was very educational with the whole process. He recommended a coffee place down the street where I could go and “not have to cross the street!” Loved my experience, grateful for our new hitch and bike rack (HELLO ADVENTURE), and thankful for such a patient & non-pushy employee!

Twice have tried using your phone app link to indicate blemishes in cargo vans that I have rented. This recent rental attempted to use phone app immediately but it still ran out of time while I was trying to attach picture to the website. Rather irritating. Not everyone has great facility with phone apps.

You make a big point of renting on line and that doing so will cut the wait time in half - so we did. However when we arrived there was a line in front of only one clerk on duty. There was nothing indicating where to get the 'express' service or who to get it from. Once we were waited on the clerk was friendly and efficient. The man working in the yard was also friendly but did not treat the equipment properly. He had to move some trailers to get to the one we rented. He would pick up the tongue to move them but once he had them out of the way he would just drop the tongue from approximately waist high causing the loud noise and causing the trailer body to shake and assuredly considerable stress on the tongue attachment. The trailer towed well and was adequate for our job.

We were told if we returned the Truck within 24 hrs we would only be charged for one day instead of the two we had originally booked. We had it back before the location closed (within 12 hours of pick up) and were charged for the second day we didn’t use. It’s very frustrating. We wouldn’t have had to rush to get it all unloaded if we were paying for it anyway.

Particularly when I dropped off the truck--about an hour before they were to close--while the signs made it clear I was to stay with the vehicle until it was checked in, there was no one to check it in for a very long time: I had an appointment I needed to get to, and in spite of informing one of the staff of that, and having that staff person promise me "he would send someone right away," that did not happen. More than the lack of being attended to was the over-all attitude I experienced of the staff there: each one seemed to be in a very bad mood, were not really communicating with me and the other customers except for what they absolutely had to, and that communication was short, curt, and very unfriendly. I will do everything I can to avoid renting Uhaul trucks in this area any more than I absolutely have to.

I haul trailer broke down twice and the first time the did not fix the the lights only the bad tire. So we had to stop and pay for rooms out of our own pocket due to faulty equipment twice.
