I walked in to rent a utility cargo trailer (uncovered) and when I walked in, the man behind the counter said they didn't have any trailers available. I had checked online before I showed up and they were available online. I walked back to my truck, reserved the trailer online and went back in less than 5 minutes after and picked up the reservation. I'm not sure what changed in those 5 minutes, but it seems as if the employee simply could not be bothered to take the time to help me as a customer.KENNETHPAUL W.

I've have previously used this location and the service was excellent. When I arrived on 05/31/2021, the agent played on his phone until his coworker said, â€œHe can help youâ€. He literally sat throughout the entire check-in process. I presumed my reserved blankets and dolly were loaded onto the truck as before. Nope! I had to come back into the store, only to pick up my own dolly and find out that the store only had 11 furniture pads when I ordered 24. When he finally got my blankets into the truck, he took my dolly, told me someone else may need it, and told me to unlock the dolly on the truck. Fortunately, customer service was helpful in issuing a refund. The agent I called on Wednesday was also helpful in extending my reservation. I hope the service I received was an isolated incident. The after-hours return process was actually easier than I expected. It was quite convenient not to have to wake up early and fight morning traffic to return my truck. The AC in the truck did not work. Hopefully it was repaired for the next customer.ANITAPATRICE E.

After my experience picking up the truck from the junkyard, it was wonderful to be able to drop off at a place that was much more inviting and clean. The representatives were understanding and explained to me that what I experienced although it shouldn't have, is expected of neighborhood dealers... and were completely shocked at the truck's condition. I told them I took video footage since no one wanted to perform an inspection during pickup, showed them that the engine light was on, and that I felt like I had been gassing the truck up every 3hrs. I was told once the light was checked, that an O2 sensor was damaged, and likely the cause of me filing tank every 3hours, spending $80 to $90 per fill.Lazara M.

Broke down for 4 hours. Service man that was sent was beyond rude. Called my husband stupid twice and told him he must not value his life due to where we broke down at like we had the choice of location to break down. The engine light on the truck came on the day prior to us leaving. He took the truck back, but they just waved him off saying it was probably just the o2 receptor that the truck was fine. Turns out a hose was missing completely, and the battery died. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. NEVER AGAIN.ANDREW F.

Issues with U-Haul on the return process, after hours. Would not let me get past taking picture of mileage and fuel gauge. tried 5 times. Had to come back this morning to make sure I did not get charged the $20 fee. U-Haul needs a simpler process. No one should have to sit in a dark parking lot and do this. You should be ashamed to make some one do that on a smart phone. Should be able to do it from you home computer if pictures are takenStephen W.
Used website to reserve truck and an appliance dolly (the dolly was a necessity since I was moving alone), only to find out at arrival to the store that they don't offer appliance dollies. Had I known this when I made my reservation, I would have gone to another location. Truck 1348G does not have working A/C (an absolute necessity in VA), windshield wipers require replacement (having a truck without A/C in the rain is horrible - you can't roll windows down), and the door damage on the passenger side is enough where it â€œpopsâ€ every time you open or shut it. When we dropped off the truck, we waited in the extensive line (backed up to the beginning of the driveway on Airline - you couldn't see if an employee was at the â€œdrop off hereâ€ location) in the vehicle for 10 minutes before I discovered that there was no one processing the vehicles outside. Completely unprofessional. I may use U-Haul again, but I'll pay extra in mileage to not use this store.Brett B.

The location and equipment were outstanding, however the service left me desiring more. The employees didn't seem to care about communication, or providing customer service. Upon arrival, after waiting for about 20 minutes my online request was processed by the manager Tyeva Robinsonâ€"she was very abrupt and rude. She rushed me along and did a poor job explaining how the process worked and did a poor job with customer service. She had the employee mindset and not the business mindset. The owner should explain why customer service mattersâ€"she doesn't get it. Upon return I pulled up to drop off the vehicle as directed by the signage outfront. I say in the vehicle for 20 minutes... no one came out as the signage stated it would. I came inside after 20 minutes and the staff said leave the keys in the car. This was annoying because I had followed directions, and was ignored. I addressed this with a long bearded employee who's only response was â€œyou good manâ€. Very rude and inconsiderate. Good luck helping these folks alongâ€"they don't seem to care about anything but their own paycheck.Steven S.

We downloaded the app, checked in the day before with the company rep that called. When we showed up to pick up our rental at 0800 it said we couldn't do web pickup even though that was confirmed at prior day check in. Owner was there outside but really didn't seem to care and said just have to wait until they open at 0900. 1 hr doesn't seem like a long wait but when you have 2 year olds in a car I value being able to meet the schedule the company advertised.BRIAN S.

Not call someone at 6:30am to move their car from an unmarked spot in front of the store. There was no markings indicated that it was for a general manager, there was no marks at all stating it was a reserved spot at all. I arrived at the location a few minutes before 8:00am, which was my pickup time. When I entered the store, there were 2 employees in the store and I was not greeted by either one. Neither of them were assisting another customer at the time. After a few minutes of waiting, I was rudely greeted with "do you have a reservation?". Unfortunately, neither of the associates was friendly or very helpful when it was time for me to find my designated truck (there were several on the lot and the directions I was given were not clear as to the location of my rental). Conversely, when I returned the rental, the lady who checked me in was very friendly and courteous. If not for her, I would have rated this location as poor and I would never rent from this location again.ANTHONYREID B.
