I would love to share my experience! I had best experience with customer service and with truck. Everything was very easy and quick. I have rented from U Haul for the past fifty years and this location is without a doubt the best I have ever encountered . All of the staff were fantastic and were able to trouble shoot a problem with my car that prevented the turn signal from working properly on the trailer. The over all friendliest of the staff is good; however the men's restroom was FILTHY. My most disappointing experience was being pulled over by the police because the tag was in the window. They overcharge for mileage and gas that was not used..mileage when received was not what they stated it was and I returned it with gas and they still managed to say it was not enough in order for me to pay for more..and the manager added in fees after the truck was returned and finalizedâ€¦she was very unprofessional and rude .I will not be returning to this location!!!!KEISHA R.

I have used Uhaul locations in Sunset Beach, Burlington, and Raleigh. Each store found the right equipment for my need. I will be a customer again as I continue to have furniture to move around. Only the invoice is hard to read â€œsmall printâ€ but I have old eyes.JOSEPH L.

I hope this review does not affect the employees of the 4720 new Bern ave locations but I was very upset and disappointed in U-Haul as a whole. We get to the 3001 capital Blvd location where we got confirmation the truck would be and it was NOT there, the employee there was very rude and told us we had gotten a confirmation and we just didn't see it WE DID NOT GET ANY CONFIRMATION THE TRUCK WAS MOVED AT 5AM THE DAY OF SCHEDULED PICKUP. And then the location was another couple of miles further away from where we needed which just ended up costing us more money. I'm very upset and hope something is done to avoid this miscommunication in the future. GraciasWILLIAM F.
I made my reservation online and "checked off" the features and "extras" I wanted in my transaction. When my wife picked up the trailer she was offered, and sold, insurance for an additional charge.....even though I had previously declined all additional expenses in multiple steps of making the reservation. This just seems like an unnecessary business practice to me. The reservation was made on the Uhaul website and the transaction should not have been changed, altered, or added to afterward. The trailer was just what we needed and everyone we had contact with was courteous and professional. It was a very good experienc!TAMRA P.

My experience picking up the truck utilizing remote check in was the worst experience I have ever endured. I honestly felt as though there were racial discriminatory undertones during the ordeal. I was asked to take several photos of my id multiple times and every time I cooperated I was asked to submit a new image holding my ID over and over again. Then I was asked to give an alternative contact to verify my identity. When I spoke with the person you all called they said they were asked â€œIf Desjonne would bring the truck back in timeâ€ not if I was who I claimed to be. I was also on hold for over 40 minutes while texting one of the reps and never got anyone on the phone. I will not be recommending your company to anyone. I will be paying movers like two guys and a truck before I ever spend my money at uhaul or recommend your services to anyone I know. It's a shame what I had to deal with in the middle of the night by myself in a neighborhood that I was not comfortable nor familiar with.Desjonne D.

I wanted to give a shout out to the manager -- Cynthia maybe? I wish I had gotten her full name. I misread the contract and took a van out of town. She was kind, understanding, and offered me plenty of options. My original reservation was at a different location, which did not have the trailer that I reserved. I was forced to try another location and ended up at this location. The young man who helped me was very professional as was the young man who checked me back in. I do not like the telephone reservation system.RAYMOND L.
When I came in no one greeted me or said anything as if I'm not a custom I felt like that was rude, after I returned the uhaul the representative that I spoke with gave me inaccurate information several times because she stated she was new and read the receipt wrong, I had to repeatedly ask for a supervisor and she advised me they were going to tell me the same thing although she advise me that she read the receipt wrong initially after that I no longer want to speak with her, and I never got a chance to speak to a supervisor she stated they would call me back but I never received a callJASMINE J.

I like every single staff member I met here. They were all energetic and very helpful. I've rented two trailers this past week and everything went very well. The text and email notifications for reservation and invoicing is extremely nice. Only thing I would suggest is motorcycle trailer sticker that clearly indicate which ball sizes work with each hitch. I found out that the older screw-down type trailers can be adjusted for 1 7/8â€ and 2â€dia hitch balls. The newer quick release style trailer is designed only for 2â€dia hitch ball. Adding this to the â€œtextâ€ reservation confirmation would be awesome. That way the Renter can set up their truck before arriving. Plus, the Renter can verify the trailer receiver is proper size for their ball as well. Ultimately, it's the responsibility of the Driver to ensure the trailer is attached properly. Thanks!!DAVID H.

Truck was covered in animal hair. My wife is allergic and she couldn't sit in the cab. Soda was covering the floor and cup holders. This was by far the worst U-Haul experience.Brian L.

Inside staff was friendly and efficient. Outside staff that hooked up the trailer was good. Upon return inside again was good but the young man who handled the return outside was absolutely awful. His name was John. His attitude was horrible. Turned what would have been a good overall experience into one lost customer as I will likely rent elsewhere next time.John J.
The guy I worked with was friendly, competent, timely and thorough. I arrived to return before they were scheduled to open. He arrived early and took care of my return so I didn't have to wait. It was the easiest rental I have ever had from uhaul. This was a second location as the first didn't showed the trailer available but it wasn't on the lot. Uhaul directed me to this location so I could get the trailer I was gauranteed. I'm glad they did.MARTIN M.

You can inform them they will be charged $1.19 a gallon if they go over their estimated mileage. You can also have your employees be more helpful when they are still there and someone returns with their rental and they just closed and you ask for help.
