Get more employees! 1.5 hour waiting in line was ridiculous. This put my plans with my movers all behind schedule. This was all because the online registration failed miserably. Was not communicated that the estimated time I gave to use the rental would be used to determine what time I should return the unit. I was surprised to learn that apon my departure that I was expected back before a certain time because it was promised to another customer later that day.Bradley S.
I drove 6 miles,a not to Smart gentleman receiving the return charges me $9 because he claims the gas was MORE THAN 7/8 .I'm arguing with them and they all agree the tank wasn't full.(my contract says so) So I keep on asking what's more than 7/8 it's 8/8 meaning full tank and you agree it wasn't full.and I drove 6 miles why are you charging me $9 for gas.on a truck that's rated 20 miles a gallon? There was only 1 person available at the time of our reservation for both delivery and drop off. Although he was working hard and was pleasant, he was unable to keep up. It took 1.5 hours to get our rental and 1 hour to return our rental. This was the worst experience we have ever had with U-Haul.Deborah S.

Cockroaches found in the bed of this truck. I rented this truck on a Saturday for the following Saturday and on Friday around 5:00 pm was notified by uhaul my pick up location on Saturday would be 64 miles away!!! Gas is 4.39 a gallon. I told them that was unacceptable and ended up changing my reservation to Monday. Had to rearrange the loaders schedule too. Big headache. I recommend moving during the week if possible to avoid Uhaul sending you MILES out of your way to pick up your truck.Teresa B.
This location has problems with opening up on time. The sign states open at 7:00 AM. That means they should be ready to receive the first customer at 7:00 AM and not 7:12 AM.Michael W.
The gentlemen working was very rude and impatient with me as a first time customer. I couldn't check in through the app because my order wasn't processed in store. When he realized I couldn't check in, he rushed to put the keys in the lockbox, and when I was finally approved through the app, I open the drop box and the wrong keys were inside. When I approached the door, knocking, he looked at me and shook his head no. I understand the store was closed at this point but it was storming, I already paid and reserved my truck and just wanted to leave. He didn't add my dolly to my truck, I had no tarp or ropes or anything. It was a disaster. I spent over an hour trying to pick up my truck.Taylor B.

I am not happy because the 15 foot truck wasn't available that I reserved. I took a ten footer and had to make two trips which jacked the milage rate significantly over what I expected to pay. There was only one poor soul working the counter when I picked up with four groups waiting to be helped. He kept his composure but poor choice of management. I would appreciate a kick back of $50 for this.David E.

I went into the store, and the employee told me he had no vans for rental for Friday or Saturday but he could reserve me one at another location. I said I rather pick it up from here because I live near by. I go home and reserve a van online at the same location. I picked it up 2 hours after leaving the store. That was a bit disturbing to me. The van was great, I did get stuck in after work traffic, which I would not have been in if the employee would have processed me at that time. I would recommend this location but only when you reserved the equipment online.Kenneth B.

After the Chapel Hill location did not have our reserved truck, we were sent 40 minutes out of our way to this location. Awful customer service at the original location! Justin at this location did provide better customer service but to lose 90 minutes of precious time and the inconvenience to the movers was very stressful. With three colleges ending the school year, UHaul should have been better prepared! Did not receive any notifications of the pick up location changing - not cool U-Haul. Appreciate Justin's customer service and attempt to correct this error.Kevin H.

Red alert. Please read everything. I don't know what to say, but this is my worst experience in my life and hope no body face that kind in future due to U HUAL staff careless working strategy. I called Uhual regarding stolen trailer January 13th 2022 with all my house hold stuff approximately $15,000.00 stuff in it, which was my 14 years hard earn money, this location recovered empty trailer from Furniture parking lot on Jan.18th 2022. I got email on May 2nd,2022 regarding payment due, I got text msg on my phone on May 6th,22 at 7:33 P.M. regarding payment due. 109 days after from they found trailer, they send me text msg for payment, 105 days after they called police department that they recover it. When I called to know why you sent me bill after 109 days from someone stole it, they don't have answer, I called Police department at 10:20 P.M. than I know that they found on Jan. 18th. Nobody have time or brain that they have to call who rented it, and send bill for that trailer for 4 day late return and cleaning fees, while it was reported by myself stolen on Jan.13th. I was unknown about it until 109 days. No one can imagine my & my wife situation for those time period, when you lost all stuff. I would like to know why it was not informed either me or Police officer until 105 days from when they have trailer with them. And what you can do for me for that ? I will wait for well-known biggest companies response except apology. I hope if they manage this kind serious stuff and not only looking for money where you make it. Hope they improve customer service. I apologies if I wrote too much but this is the fact.rajnishkumar P.
The entire process was extremely painful. I'm so disappointed with U-Haul. I have never had such a horrible business transaction in my life. I don't normally post negative reviews. On the phone 2-1/2 hours the night before pickup. The pickup was reserved for mobile early service. All of that was a failure. Equipment that I reserved a week in advance was not available. This is a busy location and not staffed appropriately. I waited 30 minutes in line with a confirmed online check-in. General Manager said it wasn't showing completed in their system even though check in showed completed. Typically only 1 person was assisting people. People with and without reservations had to wait in the same line. I would suggest having 2 people assisting at the counter and separate it out by those with reservations and those without reservations.Tami L.

This location is good I've used them several times now but this uhaul that I drove recently was really old and creaky, the inside was really dirty, the window couldn't go down because it sounded like I was going to break, the engine would not accelerate properly (misfiring) and the alignment was off by quite a bit. I would recommend servicing or retiring this truck at this point. I won't lie it was a little scary driving this thing will literally all of my belongings over 50 miles one way. Otherwise, great customer service and staff and they got me taken care of.JERRY H.

My initial rental location (2 miles from my home) was moved to a location 20 minutes away. Reserved a pack of moving pads along with the truck rental. New location did not have any moving pads. Truck jerked and bounced the entire time. Will not be renting from Uhaul again.Sharon H.
