Very poor customer service. Selfies are for non counter check ins and check outs. I had my current updated DL and I was forced to take a selfi in the store and the person behind me was not even asked. It was humiliating. Yes a selfi at the counter counter in front of everyone. I've never did ANYTHING to uhaul this is the second incident back to back. They also accused me of stealing a truck that was returned on time. Funny thing is there is no recourse for this. Workers were cool and helpful. I had no problem with them. But all these random fees got added once I turned the truck back in. I thought I would be paying $20 for the rental and $40 for the mileage. Columbus had no gas for almost 3 days and the truck was given to me with a low amount of gas anyway. Even with a fee for returning the truck with a low amount of gas some how my bill jumped from what should've been around $60-$80 dollars to almost $170 dollars. Don't know how that happened or where all of these unnecessary fees came from but I'll be leaving some reviews about it for sure. Bad experience. Workers were good and helpful though.Jarren M.

I rented a 5x9' trailer for two days. The trailer was clean and the tires were inflated properly. No problems! I also reserved 12 furniture covers and an appliance dolly. I was able to get the 12 furniture covers, but the appliance dolly was not available at the time of pickup.JEFFREY V.

Made a reservation via the phone. Did not have a problem with making the reservation and they were very helpful. The issue was with the Columbus Store. The individual working the desk was unable to properly read my reservation and charged me the twice the correct rate. We kept asking why it was so expensive and were never provided an answer. They charge us the amount and then I requested them to start the process again since the amount being charged was not correct. It took the individual working the desk 3 attempts to pull up the correct reservation. Now I have to call customer service to get a proper refund since that was not done correctly either. Location gave my reservation to someone else. They confused me, Zachary Thompson heading to Starke, FL, on 08SEP, with Dustin Thomsen heading to Pensacola on 06SEP. What should have been a five or ten minute experience took almost an hour as I explained to the staff what they did and that I still needed a truck at the quoted rate.ZACHARY T.

the truck was clean, but the maintenance is questionable. it sounded like the water pump is going out, if you know vehicles - water pumps make a loud screeching sound when they're not working correctly. of course, there are other possibilities like a belt. I used the mobile pick-up option which turned out to be pointless. once I was at the point of receiving the code for the key box, the key was not in the actual box and I had to go inside for service. inside the store, none of your team members were there, I was the only person in the building. Another customer came inside and waited along with me. It was 10 minutes before anyone came in to assist us.Jessica K.

This experience with UHAUL was a complete disaster. As if moving is not stressful enough. I ordered a hitch many weeks before the move. I thought I should call the day before my installation appointment to confirm. It was only after *I called them* that THEN I received a call that said my hitch had never come in. They told me on a FRIDAY AFTERNOON AT 4 PM when my installation was supposed to be at 10 am Saturday and my move on Monday morning. So then on a Friday afternoon right before weekend I had to call THIRTEEN SHOPS FRANTICALLY trying to find a hitch. I finally found one three hours away and they held it for me for early Monday morning, so I had to drive three hours there and three hours back to get a piece of equipment I had ordered from Uhaul weeks before. Then I asked UHAUL to do the wiring on Saturday to expedite the process, and they did not. They did it Sunday. Then finally on Monday after my stressful 6 hour drive to pick up the equipment they took a long time attaching it because they decided that THAT was the right time to train another employee on how to attach the hitch. Then finally they attached the trailer and I drove home to begin my move. I opened the trailer and IT REAKED OF OLD GARBAGE. The smell was APPALLING and it took me an entire THREE ROUNDS OF BLEACH to clean it!!!!! To top it all off, the national UHAUL representative had quoted me a discounted rate of $59 for the trailer itself and this location charged me $125. I would not recommend UHAUL or this location to ANYBODY.IANTHE M.
Again 3 locations for drop off... 1 was closed.. second said no... we can't take it... 3rd... very helpful... we had to return early as our apartment complex said we could not leave it on property over night... but absolutely no help.. had to do research on own and hope for the best.William G.

Remember to load all the equipment that a customer orders. We had to return to the location to pick up a dolly that almost didn't fit in the car. My only suggestion. Everything else was just perfect. Service was friendly and the personnel was very prompt and professional.KASHAWNDREA J.

My rental reservation was made on July 11th to pick up the truck in Auburn, Alabama at the U-Haul Moving & Storage of Auburn at 1301 Opelika Rd., Auburn, Al 36830 on July 26, 2021 at 7:00 am. My reservation was moved to Columbus, GA which created problems for me. In addition, I was not notified of the change until I was at the Auburn store at 7 on the morning of pick up. This is a crappy way of doing business. I will not be recommending the Auburn location to anyone. I also will have to think twice before using U-Haul ever again. Customer service was the worst experience I have had in a very long time. The customer service representatives have no type of training, very unprofessional and rude. Saying yes sir and yes Ma'am doesn't mean you are being professional. 1. I was told on the phone by a uhaul representative before going to this location, I can use any card as long as it had a visa, MC, AE etc logo. Once there, the representatives told me I couldn't use my bank card because it said debit. (Communication issue) 2. I extended my rental over the phone for another day with a rep from the store. The next morning, I get a call saying they (another representative) didn't know why I didn't turn in my truck yet. During this conversation I extended it for another day, she said ok I'm going to note the account. 3. I get a call that I missed, but a extremely rude representative left a voicemail on my phone which I felt was very unprofessional. If this is how I'm going to be treated when I rent from Uhaul I will not be visiting this location or any locations. Anyone I know will know about this as well.Allen B.
The proper entrance is difficult to get into, having to make a left turn across two lanes of a fairly busy road. This was after I pulled into the wrong entrance and was told by one of the employees that I need to go around to the other side. Instructions are to pull into the designated vehicle return spot and wait in the vehicle (during business hours). I sat there for nearly 15 minutes without anybody coming to help me with the return. I walked into the store and one of the ladies (neither seemed busy) there walked back with me to finally complete the return, which was uneventful.Ronnie W.

The first month I had the storage unit the sliding door to enter were broken so if I didn't go during office hours when someone could let me in the side door I wasn't able to get in. This was very inconvenient and a bit of a hassle. After a month they finally got it fix. Probably because they were tired of having to let me in weekly.
