The only day i need to get my stuffs from my lock, i was surprised by an extra padlock that didnt allow me to get in. I learned from the staff that my padlock is not allowed. Really ?????? If you guys want to force someone to use your proprietary padlock, please be clear about it, charge more, do weatherever, but never deny people from getting their own stuffs.

The price was double what was quoted to me on the website, and Express check-out didn't work, so I had to wait 1h in line. Further, the return didn't work either, my phone wouldn't connect to the location, so I will have to pay an extra fee. The truck was fine, the service was very much subpar. I will likely not use U-Haul again.

La pauvre réceptionniste qui était nouvelle était toute seule .. ça a pris plus de 30 minutes pour 2 clients ... et ce n'est pas de sa faute car personne était là pour l'aider ... j'ai reçu la moitié des informations au Check In .. la porte du coffre du camion était mal fixé donc elle s'est ouverte sur l'autoroute... et au Check out je remet tout dans la boîte aux lettres sans avoir regarder quoi que ce soit ... du coup je me retrouve à payer 20$ de frais en plus .... c'est inacceptable

The app is slower than waiting inside. It took me more than 45min to get the car even if I've already completed everything in advance so I've paid for that time for nothing. ON top of which the app charged me in advance for an amount and at the end, the app send me a message telling me the price was suppose to be 30$ lower than that and I'v never been refunded. U-Haul stole approximately 50$ from me that day, I won't recommend it and I won't rent again there. The only thing positive, is the people who were working there that day, they were smiling and helping and I really appreciate their support.

I was not given clear instructions as to how to return the keys after hours. Either the employee explained it and I didn't hear it (perhaps due to misunderstandings when wearing a mask while talking) or the employee explained too quickly and I didn't hear it. When I arrived at the U-Haul location after it was closed, and in the pouring rain. I looked everywhere for someone on staff. I checked the contract and it said go on the website, which I did but it would not load properly or at all. I called the 1-800 number but was put on hold for far too long. I checked the uhaul.com/share but it wouldn't load all the way through, I couldn't even confirm my location. I ended up leaving the keys in the van and locking the doors. I called the next day, explained what had happened, and I was told I would be charged 30$ for "a lost key" as I didn't put it in the orange drop-box. I said I didn't know there was such a box and attempted to contact someone but to no avail. The employee said she explained this all to me and that I would be charged anyways. I pleaded that I didn't hear her say any of this, that there was no indication on the printed contract on where to return the keys, that the 1-800 number took too long, and the website would not load on my phone. I called later and she said the 30$ would be added to my bill. I said next time please indicate more clearly the after-hours procedure (like actually showing the client where the drop box is) and ensuring the client is fully aware of this. I also said this should be written on the printed contract (just in case the website doesn't work).I also said they should have spare keys for every vehicle. I liked the van, but am not pleased with the extra 30$ charged and am not sure I will rent from U-Haul again which I will have to do in a few months from now. I may go with another company. It is partly my fault for not hearing the employee correctly, but I would've appreciated instructions more clearly explained (and written down tailored to each location) regarding after hours return. Long waiting line. It took close to 45 minutes to get the cargo van that I had already booked in advance, because there was too few staff to process the clients coming in. The van had some dirty cardboards and other leftovers in it. Also, uHaul charges a 5$ fee for using a credit card, which they do not disclose beforehand. Only upon checking my credit card transactions did I notice the extra charge. It's a pretty shady business and should be exposed. If uHaul is so desperate for the extra 5$, just integrate into your other charges, so we know upfront what the final cost will be. To be honest, your prices are competitive, but now I am left with a negative impression, because of the pricing "strategy". On the bright side, plenty of vans in stock, which made a last minute booking possible, and a nearby gas station, which makes for easy fueling before return. This location is close to a metro station, which makes it more accessible to people without a car.

The keys of the truck wasn't in key box, i was obliged to go to the store to have the keys. Your check out tool must be integrated in your mobile app because navigation on your website is difficult and have a lot of bugs

The interfacing on the UHaul app for 24hr pick up is NOT user friendly. It took me almost an hour to get it to work. If I didn't get help from a very kind Uhaul employee who just happened to be there after closing time, I would have been SOL. Thank you, Chris. UHaul, you need to work on your app.

I did all the process online but when we arrived at the truck for pick up, someone else must of gotten the same code as our truck left the minute we found it in the lot. We then did the cue but he had a very small window in time to do our move so totally bumped the line and told the Uhaul employee, we did everything online and our truck is gone, help me please, so he took on my reservation even though it was crazy busy, took me in charge, found the truck, got it, it was very cleaned. Couldn't get out cause I was blocked my a cement road block and 2 other u-hauk trucks. Went back in and told him, I must get out now, he immediately found the other two keys and moved the trucks and off I went. the drive was smooth, finished our move within 3 hours, went back (a lot less busy than in the morning) and got my receipt online. It was very well managed for my situation. Thank you

La porte arrière du camion est restée coincée en haut.. c'était ma faute car je n'ai pas 'lu ou vu la vidéo d'explication' lors de l'ouverture, mais j'aurai aimé ça qu'on me previenne au départ de faire attention. We had a terrible service online because we reserved a month ago from a different location on saint Jacques but only to find out that they stopped renting. No one sent me an email. I called notre dame and the manager Karine took care of the whole situation in such a efficient and courteous way. I would definitely recommend this place to any of my friends or clients because of her service.

I arrived on a random Friday of the month and still had to wait 35 minutes to get my car. Disappointed!

Staff and facilities were fantastic! Especially, Karine and Diego who were super professional, prompt and courteous. My move went very smoothly and my things arrived sooner than expected which was an added bonus. The only drawback was contacting the location by phone to coordinate with staff onsite, which is occasionally frustrating because U-Haul's phone menu bounces calls to U.S. call centers or other locations where staff are unable to assist because they are not physically onsite. Otherwise, everything went perfectly!

J'aimerais qu'on communique avec moi à la lecture de ma rétroaction. J'ai utilisé vos camions à trois reprises dans le dernier mois. Lors de ma première location, j'ai par inadvertance oublié mon portefeuille sur le comptoir de votre succursale à Montréal sur la rue Notre-Dame. J'ai rappelé la succursale à la fin de la journée et pu récupéré mon portefeuille sans problème. Depuis cette événement du 12 septembre, les deux cartes de crédit incluses dans mon portefeuille ont été fraudées dont une carte de crédit corporative que je n'utilise jamais. Cette carte de crédit n'aurait donc pas pu être fraudée dans aucun point de vente et dès lors, il faut absolument que quelqu'un puisse avoir eu accès à la carte physiquement pour pouvoir en obtenir les données. J'ai depuis eu l'appel de MasterCard qui s'occupe de gérer la fraude et j'ai ensuite appelé Uhaul, mais on ne pouvait rien faire pour moi. Je vous demande donc de vérifier vos caméras du 12 septembre et de garder une œil sur vos employés. Lors de la location du véhicule le 12 septembre, deux jeunes demoiselles d'origine haïtienne étaient présentes pour me servir (un service médiocre je dois avouer). Les achats sur mes cartes de crédit ont été portées le 7 octobre et depuis mes comptes ont été gelés. À noter aussi que le solde restant à payer sur la dernière location doit avoir été refusé puisque la carte n'est plus active. Vous pourrez me contacter pour obtenir la nouvelle carte pour que vous puissiez être payé. Merci de prendre au sérieux ces situation. Je ne m'attends pas à grand chose de votre part sachant bien que je n'ai aucune preuve concrète pour appuyer mes dires. Il me fera plaisir d'en discuter plus longuement avec vous au besoin. Les mesures en lien avec la prévention de la COVID-19 ne sont pas en place au bureau de la rue Notre-Dame à Montréal (cité 2000). Il faut remettre notre permis de conduire en mains propres au commis et payer en touchant au boutons de la machine interac qui n'est pas désinfectée entre chaque utilisation.

Extremely poor service. You are understaffed, it seems. When I went to return the truck I waited with some 5 other clients in a completely empty store for 20 minutes, no employee to be found. My facture was made out to the wrong name. I drove 9kms but was billed for 12. Everything about this experience confirms to me that there is no culture of love at Uhaul. Clients need you and you exploit that, that's all.

Van that I reserved was broken, so a they gave me another one, but the contract of the reserved one, which generated A LOT of issues when returning the van. When giving a vehicle to a customer, ensure that its the one specified in the contract.

I appreciate the convenience of Uhaul but I think there is misinformation relating to the real costs of renting and the time required for the process, before and after. Not taking the insurance seems foolish and risky and should be an obligation. The online process is good but you still have to get the key inside, you need to plan the time to gas up and upon return it's not necessarily clear on how to proceed.

awful service. - i had a reservation for 7:00 AM but had to wait until 7:20 before an employee showed up. - the trailer i had reserved was broken, not available. - after settling for a 12X6 covered trailer, i had to lift it myself to hitch it on my pickup truck while the employee was trying to push it onto the hitch. the thing was very heavy, it was dangerous. after 5-10 minutes of attempting, i told the employee i couldn't believe they didn't have a tool to lift and move trailers. that's when they finally decided to go pick up a trolley to lift and place the trailer.

U-Haul Cite 2000 est toujours ma place de choix pour l'entreposage à Montréal. Ce n'est pas la première fois que j'utilisais cet entreposage et il est certain que je vais le réutiliser pour mes besoins d'entreposage futurs. Le personnel est toujours coopératif et le building est bien aménagé avec ses grands ascenseurs et le quai de chargement. Je l'ai recommandé à plusieurs reprises à des amis et je vais continuer de le faire. Merci pour tout.

Les. déménageurs embauchés pour transporter les biens du camion U-HAUL placé dans le débarcadère (PORTE 5) et recommandés par U HAUL n'ont pas fait un travail impeccable. Ils ont pris plus de temps que prévu et nous avons réalisé à la fin de ce déménagement que le loquet pour fermer un des deux entrepôts choisis ne fermait pas correctement. (N.B. Nous avions réservé les espaces 4002 et 4035). Selon l''employé de U HAUL MONTRÉAL qui est venu à notre demande constater les dégâts, cela n'avait pu être fait que très récemment. Quoi qu'il en soit, le superviseur des deux déménageurs joint par téléphone a assuré mon épouse Joëlle que nous n'aurions pas à payer plus que les deux heures convenues et qu'il verrait à régler cette question d'horaire avec les deux employés en question. Ajoutons que, de la part des employés de l'entrepôt lui-même, nous avons eu pour l'occasion un service impeccable. .

I got an excellent service from the first call to get information to the last day. Karine Mirambeau and Pablo from the desk office in Montreal-Notre-Dame were very helpfull in person & on email, as it was so complicated to reach U-Haul office in Montreal on the phone from Europe. They have been particularly efficient to solve my extension during the confinement, as I couldn't come to do it. I would definitively use U-Haul storage on Notre-Dame in Montreal again, and recommend it! My only reserve in the overwhole expérience is about reaching the specific storage office by phone from abroad: I had to give up to do so, after 20 to 30 minutes waiting. In the end, I sent a friend of mine to solve the problem in person at the office, and pay the last extra month.

The only concern I have with Uhaul is that on the last month I just used my storage facility for 3 days, but the person that works for you guys tell me that because of the policy of the company they don’t give me back the rest of the money for the days I didn’t used the storage. So basically because of the policy’s of the company I have to give my money for the days I didn’t used my storage.

The main point of my negative rate it's your policy of payment of an entire month when I use it only for two days (when you move out). You should give people a credit that they can use for the next Uhaul location. With that approach you will be sure to have this client back when he needs a location and you will give a better experience. Clients like to pay for a service/product.
