While the location itself was fine I was extremely unhappy with the added cost I had to endure because a vehicle was not available in the location I had originally booked! The extra travel forced upon me added 30$ to the cost of my rental for no reason. I tried contacting you about this issue and got endless robot voices and no really help in this regard. I wish to be contacted about this matter, but do not wish to explicitly hold it against the location and the employees working there.Marlon N.

Guy behind the counter knew his stuff well and was very helpful . I didnt like the after hours return process. It was unclear and the app was not Intuitive.Mark B.
My license was left at the counter and I never received a call stating that my license was at the location. A phone call stating that my license was found would have been appreciated. Instead it was thrown away in the garbage. Also I was charged $100 for a furniture trolley which was never provided. When I called they confirmed that I was not provided one and a refund would be provided. Ever call into the center has resulted in waiting times of over 10 minutes per call. Overall I am not happy with the overall level of professionalism to say the least. I would not recommend this location to anyone.Enrico C.

I had not easy visit today to this location, there were two guys and one lady to help customers. Guys weren't willing to help me, but lady was do nice and found solution for my case. In general I would not ever come back to this place, didn't feel like I was treated properly as a customer, just a fellow to pass by. Too much talking, too few things done. I made my reservation online for a 20' truck, 20 blankets, 2 furniture dollies, 1 appliance dolly and 1 regular dolly. I arrived at 6:50 for my 7am pickup. The employee arrived at 7:15 and opened the door at 7:20am. No explanation, no apology, nothing said to me. Employee blamed "the other guy who didn't show up this morning". Once the contract was ready, employee tells me that he only has 10 blankets and 1 furniture dolly. How is this possible? He tells me that customers rent the equipment but they don't return everything. I say, then you charge the customer for equipment on their credit card and he says yes. So then you replace the missing equipment? He says no. I tell him that makes absolutely no sense! He tells me that these items are not guaranteed. Also makes no sense! How can I move heavy long furniture pieces with only 1 dolly? So in short, this Uhaul branch operates improperly and they are not reliable! Reservations mean nothing because they don't honor the contract details. Pickup times mean nothing because they don't open for business on time! I'm paying 2 movers to sit around while some employee takes his sweet time to get the business opened in the morning with no regard for the customer. There are other companies who rent moving trucks and equipment, so I will look elsewhere next time.Errol B.

I have never written a complaint letter before, but then again I have never been treated so poorly by a customer service person in my 66 years of life. I was lied too, given the finger numerous times, totally disrespected and threatened to get called the police on by a young man in mid-twenties at our U-haul service center in Dollard des Ormeaux at 65 Brunswick avenue. I had made an online reservation for 26/03 2022 at 17:00 (29564722) arrived at that location at 16:45 and was immediately told by a young man to wait outside as he was servicing 2 gentlemen (as we are in covid I made no mention of the aggressive tone of his voice as it would seem he was in a heated discussion with the 2 elderly gentlemen. After waiting 15 minutes I walked into the office and was immediately screamed at to wait your turn! Five minutes later I was waived in and we beganâ€¦ I had reserved a 15 foot cube truck with a dolly, blankets and 4 corner furniture dolly. He stated there was no furniture blankets so I cancelled the 4 corner furniture dolly but keep the 2 wheel dolly. Asked for a plastic slip cover for a full sized mattress and he proceeded to write up the order confirmation, gave my credit card, all was going as supposed to. He printed out the contract it was time stamped at 17:15 I mentioned that to him and he said if I give you an extra hour I'll have to charge you an extra day but I'm here tomorrow so just get it back by 17:15 and you'll be okay. As I began to walk out with him to inspect the rental truck he noticed in my hand the mattress cover and said, and I quote â€œoh shit I forgot to charge thatâ€ so we went back in, he wrote up an additional invoice gave him back my credit card and we went back out (invoice time stamped 17:20). We get to the truck, it was pretty banged up with X stickers in about 15 places asked him to open the gate, then saw that the inside of the cube was not at all clean, he responded by saying it would take another 15 to 20 minutes to have it cleaned and he had no other available in that size! The reason I was insisting on this was the two gentlemen earlier were arguing with him over being charged an additional $20.00 for having a dirty box upon its return. He then turned rather belligerently claiming I had no right to listen in on other clients' conversations to which I responded, I think everyone in the building overheard that part of your conversation. This is where things got a bit nasty, he stated that its Â¼ full I needed to bring it back Â¼ full to which I said I was under the impression that you give it to us full and we bring it back full but if that's your policy, its fine by me. Upon climbing into the cabin and turning on the ignition I quickly noticed it was nowhere near Â¼ full. Ran back to the office and claimed there was an error as this truck does not have anywhere near a Â¼ tank of gas! He stormed out of the office, got to the truck leaned in and yelled; it has a quarter tank of gas to which I responded NO IT DOES NOT. He then stopped in his tracks turned around walked back to me and yelled right in my face â€œYES IT DOESâ€ then he turned around began to walk back to the office and said â€œif you're not happy file a complaintâ€ and gave me the finger with both hands!! In all my 66 years I have never been treated like this man just treated me, as god is my judgeâ€¦ someone to look me straight in my face and lie to me knowing the truth is starring him right in his face and give me the finger on top of thatâ€¦ what kind of company hired an individual like that to be a custodian of their corporate image. Enraged, I went home (I live 4 KM's from your location) and took a picture of your truck's dashboard showing the odometer. The proof is in the picture, I clearly show 4 km's from the point of origin to my house and a 1/8 or less of gas in the tank. When I returned the vehicle the next day, he is there and I ask to close out my invoice and credit card. He looks up at me and barks at me â€œWere closedâ€ I responded by saying you accorded me to come by, by 17:15 and it would be okay, again he barks at me â€œIT'S 17:17 WERE CLOSED GO PUT YOUR KEYS IN THE AFTER HOURS BOX NOW!!!â€ to which I responded â€œcome on man show some humanity you know very well I did not leave at 17:15 yesterday, I have a time stamped invoice for the mattress cover you sold me at 17:20â€ And it just degenerated from there, he got very insulting, comments like why should I spend an extra hour on youâ€¦ what makes you so important that I have to do that, then I got hot and said, I just want you to do your job and service the U-Haul client that is in front of you right now, can you do that, is that not what they pay you to do! With that he went ballistic, grabbed the keys out of my hand and put them in the overnight box and yelled again. If you want to make a compliant do so, but leave or I will call the police. I was about to say call the police but it was time to let this go and just realize this young man has a serious chip on his shoulder and he should not be in the customer service business. I will take this to your bosses and I left. This morning, March 28 at 7:22, I received my final invoice from you for $249.79 (after hour fee $20.00+fuel service fee+$30.00 and a fuel charge of $49.51+taxes) for a total of $ 99.51! Almost $100.00 of overages for a total misrepresentation as the pictures are at the ready to proof what I have contended. I can only assume that someone in your company will see this for what it really is and do the right thing to rectify this and keep your clients protected from this sort of intimidation not to mention price gouging? Your company standards are better than what this individual's representations and actions on your behalf stand for, don't let the actions of one troubled young man take you down!!Tim T.
They charge me too much. I was quoted at 130$ then 0.20 cents per extra KM. Did 50 KM extra and they charged me 30$ instead of 10$. I had a very bad experience with Uhaul dollars des ormeaux at Montreal. I paid all the fees and at the end of the journey, they charged me for cleaning fees because 2 blankets was not in the plastic bag. I will never use uhaul again. I complained about that directly in their office, talked to customer service and at the end nothing happens. I will not promote uhaul as it is unacceptable to charge fees that doesn't make sense.nasser F.

Getting the truck out of the snow was difficult. It would be great if the snow could be cleared around the trucks more often so as not to collect too much to the point where it hardens. ¡Gracias!Emma L.
First off, the van was parked in a terrible location (essentially on ice) and it was stuck. Rear wheel drive with no weight in the back is a recipe for disaster in winter. So they swapped my truck but at this point I was already over an hr. late. The new van's cruise control didn't work and the rear blinker light didn't work. Overall, the van drove well and it worked great for moving my gear. Drop off was a bit of a pain in the ass (using the app) but it got done. You can't beat the price and the vehicle worked well for what I needed. Life's imperfect and shit happens but there was just a bit too much of that for me to be VERY happy with everything.Christopher A.

I used this facility to park my vehicle in the yard for storage. I choose this location because it had a secure gate, however after a couple months the gate always remained 80% open which made me feel that my vehicle was not secure due to the fact that anyone would've been able to enter and exit.Daniel T. | Overall Experience

I would not recommend uhaul again. I had set a pic up for 9 am at another location just to show up to a hand written note saying they are closed. I called and was promptly found another truck at a much further location. After going back online I should have received a 50$ credit since my truck and pick up location was not honoured but I did not. This is poor customer service. Now I was charged more for having to drive more km to pick up and drop off. Lost 3 hrs of time for my movers to help and now have to rent another truck today. Signage for night drop offs, would be appreciated. Side parking lot impractical for dropping trailers- you unhitch and trailer rolls towards the car, very risky for a pinch between the two vehicles with nobody around to help. Website identity verification, logon, account creation processâ€¦ confirmation emails and security codes very very slow- like over 1/2 hour to come in or never come in slow. Rental pricing on trailers is fantastic, great. Moved stuff one way for $32. Very happy.Steven F.

I made the reservation on-line and it was displayed on the website for the first month qualifying for free, so I applied for self storage.
