We are very satisfied! Our friend passed away and with the increased lockdown measures in Ontario, Canada, we had to make an emergency move on behalf of her. Just mentioning the excellent customer service. The whole process was very easy and seamless, I love how easy it is to enter my info using my smart phone. Our truck was not available to us when we arrived so we were offered a cargo van. Moving forward, if U-Haul knows a truck has not been returned the evening prior, the store should call or email the person with the reservation to let them know and advise them of other location options for their requested truck. We waited in line for a long time because there was only 1 customer service rep at the counter, and then when we got to the counter were told our truck wasn't brought back. Beause we had waited in line for a while, we were late for our elevator booking, so we had to take whatever we could get. When we first got the cargo van, it was blocked by another truck so we had to go back in and ask for another cargo van. We then were offered another cargo van and that van was covered in ice and snow so we had to take the time to clear the truck. We were over an hour in to our elevator booking at this time, and because we had a cargo van, we had to make many moving trips back and forth (6 trips to be exact). This resulted in more milage and gas. I called customer service while we were on the road to let them know about this issue and they said that someone from the store would call us in the morning. The store never called us. Overall, I would not recommend this location to anyone. It was a terrible experience.MARKANTHONY D.
Not sure if the location is the one to blame. I reserved a truck through your web page to be used on December 24th . The application said it was guaranteed, if not, I would be given a $50 discount. When I got to the location, I was forced to get a smaller truck. My reservation was not honoured, I didn't get the dolly I reserved and the $50 were not applied. I was charged a deposit of $100 on that date and I'm still waiting for it to be reimbursed. Any comments?MARIOJ F.

When I arrived, I was immediately told no trucks were available for the day. At the same time, someone else was telling me to leave because there's a limit of 3 people in the store. I went to my car, checked the website and booked a van online to be picked up in 1.5 hours. Had I just listened to the employees, I would have left to book a van at a competing rental company. Not helpful, at least until I picked up the van. Then the girl helping me was helpful.Alex M.

I have to be clear this isn't the pick up location's fault, but your booking system. I booked over three weeks ago for Queen St E in Toronto. I checked in a week ago, no problem. Then I get a call two days before telling me I have to pick up at Weston Road, 30 km / 30 minutes away. I live downtown Toronto. I don't own a car. It is non-trivial to get way out there. I had to ask a friend to drive me. My entire day was off timing because of this delay. I get that there are only so many spots for trucks downtown. I get it that the end of the month is busy. But tell me in big flashing text when I book that my location is overbooked and there's a good chance I won't get my location. Not three days before when I have no alternative. I wasn't rebated the 30 km to get me back where I wanted to start which is just insult to injury. I didn't know any alternative to U Haul and I've had decent experiences with you in the past, but yesterday while moving i saw Discount moving trucks and I am going there next time and I'll be sure to tell everyone else about this terrible experience. If you had just told me (not buried in fine print) when I booked then I would at least have known. But two days before it's quite obvious that you know I can't do anything else at that point and you are intentionally screwing me over instead of treating me with respect.Morgan W.

I was waiting for approval on the app for 40 minutes and went inside and waited in line where the person in front of me was experiencing issues with his reserved truck. The app was suppose to be faster, but I still had to wait in line to get the keys. My original location downtown got changed to the Weston location which was super inconvenient with very little explanation made that a reservation location isn't guaranteed. Overall not a good experience but also not necessarily the locations fault specifically.Malcolm M.

The attendant helped attaching the trailer, was much appreciated. When returning was told to wait for trailer to be inspected and obtain the receipt only to find out that receipt could have been sent by email and I did not have to wait. We booked in advance for a uhaul truck at a location close to us, as well as 2 furniture dollys, which were essential to our move as we had to walk across a parking lot to get to our moving elevator and have very heavy furniture. I received a message in the morning, an hour before our pick up time with a different uhaul address and an incorrect time. After calling uhaul and being told I would be able to self check in no problem on arrival, I showed up to a huge lineup out the door at the uhaul location, no self check in option (as the time was incorrect), no dollys, and no place to park (which was not specified in any communication ahead of time). The fact that there were no dollys made customers angry and it was a hostile environment, staff and patrons alike. The staff were also rude. Upon returning the truck, we had to wait in a long line again just to get the dollys removed from our receipt. I don't see the point in pre-paying for something that may or may not exist. We did not have a good experience with uhaul and I don't know that we'll ever be back. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Don't overbook vehicles and equipment. This is poor business etiquette and it put me in a really difficult situation for my move. You need to be better, I will not use UHAUL ever again after my experience of being promised certain things multiple times (ensured there would be no issue) and UHAUL completely not coming through.JOHNRK D.

One person serving 10 people lined up on a Sunday , is not acceptable. It is horrible business practice. We waited over 1/2 hour to be served. We were therefore late in leaving for our site. The tank was only filled to 3/4 of a tank. We put in gas at 3/4. When we returned the van, we were told we did not put in enough gas. We were charged an exorbitant fee for the extra gas. This is a scam. We were told that the gas tank should be filled and it was not. This is again unacceptable. I would like a discount on this purchase. Your customer service agent was very rude and didn't care that my order was not fulfilled. Very bad experience. The equipment that I had reserved was not available at the time of pick up. Because of this I was 2 hours late returning the truck. You should let your customers know if you are unable to fulfill their order so other arrangements can be made. Huge inconvenience.TEENA E.

There was a problem with the left mirror in the truck that was only perceivable when you were in the highway. The mirror was a bit loose and when you go above 80K/h, the wind push back the mirror making it useless and kind of dangerous because you were not able to see if there was a car next or behind you on that side. The location is tricky to find. Google said "you've arrived" but my driver had to search another 10 minutes to find it. I had reserved 2 dollies and a hand truck but we only got one dolly. We were told "that's all you're getting". It would be good to have pictures of the dollies and hand truck to better understand what we are getting.Stephen S.
This morning I received a call at 7:00 informing me that my original pick up on Rowntree Road (5 minutes from my house) no longer has the truck I required because the previous owner did not bring it back. I had to drive 30 minutes to another location and start my process all over, was charged the same mileage fee and the lady said I still had to bring it back by 12:30. I asked for another hour just in case I couldn't make it by 12:30 because of the location change and she said no. That is not fair from U-Haul to change location and still not accommodating my needs which were deduction in mileage cost and extended hours. The lady who served me was very rude and inconsiderate. The only person who was nice there was a gentlemen when I returned the truck. He deserves a raise!!!Livian C.

When you reserve a dolly and expect a dolly then it's important that it's there for the customer upon pickup. The first come first serve approach is unacceptable. Buy more of them I cant even believe I have to write a review about having inventory of your products.Benjamin H.

Very disappointed with this service . Very rude lady at the counter . Couldn't take 1 Min out of her time to explain anything or even show / tell me where the truck was . U haul also canceled my booking and re booked me a truck 1 hr drive away from where I was to collect and return . I don't drive so had to pay for Uber to location twice and they changed my time so I missed out on collecting a couch and bed . Such rude employees on the phone at DuPont location alsoHelen K.

I wasn't happy about going across the city to the west end to pick up the truck as I live in the east end. I reserved it weeks in advance and have a location 5 mins away that I selected to pick it up. I can't understand why I had to add over an hour and a half to a stressful moving day. This has nothing to do with the pickup location. Just the dispatcher who couldn't find a truck in my area.LLOYD K.
