I welcome a call so that I might explain and fully express how totally ****** IT IS. I spent 20 years in corporate marketing and customer relations an have yet to find a web function that is more worthless or more ******. Please call me. I waited over 2 hours to get a code sent to my email. I could literally **** a better customer service portal for returning a truck than this garbage. I have used UHaul for over 10 years and have great personal and professional relationships with the staff - no problem. The corporate level and web services are worse THAN USELESS. Useless would leave me with nothing and I can deal with that. The corporate web portal leaves me with PAIN and wastes my time. Over 2 hours to get a code? WTF. Please, I beg you - call me 571 330 0810. I have no idea who put this web portal together but a monkey with a missing frontal lobe would have done better. If you gave even half a shit about your customers you would have tested this in real world conditions and fixed it. After trying to log in the truck I rented for over an hour, I gave up and went home. And my reward for over and hour of work is now having to PAY YOU $20. Oh how I wish someone from corporate had the balls to stand up and take responsibility for this steaming pile of dung you call customer service. The location itself is great. The website you are required to use to return equipment after hours, however, could use some work. It took 30 minutes to upload pictures because the website wasn't cooperating. Two other customers were there at the same time having the same issues.MICHELLELYNN S.

Great service. Tried to use the self-pickup via the phone app - did not work. Much better to just have a person help you- it was great to have them help me live. Need to work on the app process. Suggest a pre-registration prior to being allowed to remotely pick up vehicle. Too much personal information being transmitted (DL, Passport, photos, etc.). Especially when it doesn't work; where did my info go?Timothy H.

I made online reservations and total I pad (excluding extra mileage which I knew about) was more than the online price. Ensure online system reflects accurate pricing. I made no changes at time of pickup. The UHaul staff member at pickup was NOT personable, NOT friendly, and just NOT enjoyable to deal with. I know COVID has impacted hiring but you need to do something to improve your staff attitude. No parking at location to leave my car. Should have stated that when I made my reservation. I was told to leave my car in the Giant shopping center across a 6 lane very busy roadway! Drop-off staff was wonderful. Very friendly, personable and easy to deal with. He explained the extra mileage, asked about the my moving experience, etc. An excellent return!Christopher R.

Not a thing. I was dreading the moving experience and the whole truck rental process went very smoothly. There was someone ahead of us in check in but their transaction went very quickly as did out. First. The self pick up didn't work because it took too long to get an approval. The additional person verifying never worked. (The phone never rang at the persons house. Maybe try to get your phone number off the blacklist???). We waited until 9am(about 40 minutes) to see the actual person. He acted as if I've done something wrong and couldn't pick up the car myself. No apologies for why and how It didn't work out. Extremely unfriendly rude and hot-tempered. I'm truly not sure what made him so worked up about me telling him the verifying call never came through. This kind of person shouldn't be working at such industry. Truck rental was just fine. I am still puzzled by the agent's behavior.Sang K.

Originally booked pick up from the Gainesville location and drop off at the Amissvile location. Uhaul called and changed to Manasas location for pick up and drop off. Was told at the Manasas location that they do not have any 1 way trucks even though we originally booked a 1 way truck. A lot of extra miles, money and time incurred.ZACHARYJ P.

You could put a video which shows where X's are marked for any damages. The sales person at the counter had to come out and explain that it is only for major damages and not for scratches etc. The person was very busy and had to walk out to explain it. The place was clean our truck was already parked out and easy to find.Ajit A.

The trucks panel was defective, resulting in the AC being broken. The brakes on the vehicle were difficult to push down and the truck made a very concerning noise every 5 or so minutes when pushing the gas. In all honesty, I thought we were gonna make it through the drive.Olga B.
1) I made reservations to pup my truck at a closer location and at the last minute the pick up location was changed. 2) We were directed to the wrong vehicle, then had to wait while they moved trucks around. 3) Had to stop and top off the tank before we got home. Papers said tank was at 7/8 but it was more 3/4. We should get a full tank to start our journey. 4) Dolly was tossed loose in the truck, not secured. Had to listen to that until we got to our departure location.Duane M.

I have used this location on several occasions and have been satisfied with the service in general. On this particular occasion, however, I asked the manager if he felt the 9 foot van I reserved would be enough space for a full bedroom set with a queen bed, box spring, dressers, night stand, etc. He assured me that there would be adequate space. However, It was not even close! This resulted in a very challenging pack and two trips from Bristow Virginia to Frederick Virginia adding an additional half a day of labor, 120 miles of driving and an additional cost of approximately $80. We also had to bring a separate vehicle adding additional gas costs and where in tear on a personal vehicle. I would encourage the employees to listen carefully to the needs of the customer and to make sure they are recommending vehicles that are actually adequate for their needs.glenn D.
