Angela at Preston Hwy. is the most helpful uhaul employee I've encountered. She took care of everything, and it was very clear she knows her job inside and out. I've recently had a few mediocre experiences at the smaller franchise locations, and my experience here wiped the slate clean for Uhaul in my eyes.

Customer service is 5 star. I got off the Preston Hwy exit and had forgotten my trailer ball. the young lady at your location gave me the hitch ball off her personal vehicle to save me from buying one. EXCELLENT!!!!

The good: I do not see how you turn a profit with prices so low. I rented a motorcycle trailer for $15. No mileage. I would have paid $25 without even thinking. The staff was polite and knowledgeable even though they were swamped. The bad: The computer systems kept crashing both inside and outside when the associate tried to upload pics of the trailer connection. Overall: I received an excellent product at an above excellent price but I did have to be patient with the electronic uhaul support system.

I did not have any problems renting a 15 foot truck from this location, and the truck performed great! Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with the very rude and arrogant general manager who helped me. His first name was Tim for sure, and I think I remember his last name as Hoen, but I could be wrong about the last name. He said he was the manager when I asked to talk with his manager...because he was such a smart ass when I asked a few questions. This was the first time I rented a truck before, so I had a few questions. He must have had 35 cups of coffee, because he was extremely impatient and rude, and they were not very busy at all. Tim was why I gave this location a rating of average instead of excellent.

Positive -- The employees were extremely professional!! The size of the 26 footer is awesome. Needs improvement -- this vehicle would beat you to absolute death. If someone had to take this across country, they would be dead by the time they arrived. And it sucked down gasoline like no other. They also need a blower to remove any and all small pebbles out of the bed of the trucks - a broom will often not remove everything.

Angela was a tremendous help. She went above and beyond in her assistance. My husband has serious heart problems and she made some very good suggestions. We had to put a generator in the truck and I was very nervous about my husband doing it alone. The "ramp" was the perfect solution. Thank you Uhaul and especially ANGELA.

I was on time for my appointment, the hitch man was not there. had to wait for him to show up. after hitch was installed, I needed an adapter for the trailer. U-Haul did not have it. they sent me to stuff for trucks, they did not have it. they sent me to dukes hitches and they had it. maybe I should have gone to dukes first for the hitch.

I made a reservation with the Jeffersonville IN location (365 Eastern Blvd) I actually spoke to that location 4 times on the phone the day before. When I showed up, they did not have the truck I wanted - the truck they had told me the day before that they would have. They were completely uninterested in figuring out their mistake or even apologizing. They sent me to the Preston Hwy location that did have a truck I could use.

There is always a long queue at uhaul I went to. Wait time varied but easily 30mins and longer due to few staffs. Perhaps a self service kiosk could be a viable option on some of the busier facilitt just loke at the airports.

I delivered the car in good condition and charge $10 as a cleaning fee. And the customer service wrote me "It is policy to do a self return if dropping off after hours. Not doing a self return results in a 10 charge. Its listed under cleaning fee. The equipment was indeed clean." it is a crazy issue. And if you see my contract where is it?

I reserved a 10ft truck on June 6th at the Portland Ave location. I received a call the next morning stating that size truck was unavailable at that location and I was going to be upgraded to a 15ft truck at the Farmington Ave location. I go there fill out all the paperwork only to find out the truck I was suppose to get was already rented. I was the sent to the the Uhaul store on Preston, when everything was done I asked the employee whose name was John about the 50 reservation guarantee and was told I would receive it when I returned the truck. I returned the truck on the 9th and Nick waited on me. I asked about the 50 and he said it wasn't their responsiblity and that I wasn't going to get it from them. He was extremely rude which caused me to become angry. He became loud and combative with my son and then myself. He then got on the phone with John and he was also rude telling Nick to get me the fuck out of the store or call the police. I have never been treated so badly or threatened like that in my life. Granted I said a few curse words but I never did anything to warrant calling the cops on me or told to get the fuck out of there. Everyone told me not to rent from you guys but I didn't listen. I wish I had. I will never rent another truck from Uhaul ever again.

Provide better staffing levels. There was only one worker on duty at 7:00 AM when I arrived to pick up my trailer. He was working as hard as he could, but it still took a half hour for me to get my trailer and head out. I had the same issue when I returned the trailer later that day. There was only one worker and it took quite a while to get my trailer turned back in.

I have taken a cargo van for 3 hrs they gave without cleaning and i have taken uhaul to shift my glass dining table were my glass got all scratches on it because of the dust in the van. I somehow managed and dropoff the van, with filling the gas in the night. In the morning when i was emailed my receipt they charged me a cleaning fee of 10.00$ and also they charged me for gas as well. I tried calling them but nobody answered my call worse behaviour

When making the reservation it booked at .59 a mile. I told the young man that when returning. He said he would fix it. The “manager” said in front of people “he needed to be sure he placed notes on the account bc we are not supposed to be doing that” The young man came back in and then said he would not be able to correct it bc the manager said he couldn’t. I told him I wanted to speak with her and upon entering the building in a very unprofessional demeanor said she would not correct it!

This experience was terrible. I would never recommend this to another person. Nobody called us to deliver our u-box and we ended up driving to the local store the day of and they had no idea what was going on. We were told that the driver was out for medical purposes and they had no records or intentions of bringing us our u-box that day. After getting frustrated because we were moving this day they finally found our reservation and called someone in to deliver the u-box. I was transferred over and over again to the incorrect people multiple days in a row to people who knew nothing about what I was talking about. The driver who dropped off our pod was great, but other than that this moving experience with u-pod was very poor.

So I set up my own move, but I had to change the delivery address to find out what locations are available around me because it just kept sending me to the closest location (which was about 30 minutes West of me) but I wanted to know what locations were East where I could pick up my box and run errands. So I had to call and the lady online set it up for me which then made it not show up on my account until I added it with a contract #. Then I couldn't make changes to the account myself so when my husband decided to pick up the UBOX himself I had to call again to get that fixed. THEN they set up the delivery to Louisville, KY which was about an hour from me and it was Kentucky Derby week (Extra traffic) and then I was told they couldn't set it up for the Indiana side of the river (even though I originally had it set up for the Indiana side.) When I got ready to pick up my box the contract # had changed. They had all the information under my husband's name instead of mine, so I had to get him to contact them to change it, and they had sent me the wrong address for where my box would be stored. I ended up with 3 locations my box could be, talking to an unknown number of people in regional and local to figure this out, and had 5 different contract #s throughout the process. It was not an easy move and I was never able to update my own move via my account. However, the staff person at the Preston Highway office was fantastic and got everything sorted for me at the end and my things did arrive safely.

I originally had my reservation through the Bardstown Rd location. I made the reservation at about 1 to pick up the truck at 3. When I got there all the spots were full in the parking lot except for about 4 that had two wheel dollies placed in them. I moved one and backed into the spot. One of the employees came out yelling at me for moving the dolly. She said I could not park there and I had to park elsewhere, I asked where and she said in front of the trailers. I asked if I could really leave my car parked blocking the trailers while I used the moving truck. She then said I could not leave my truck, that I had to take it with me. Then another person from inside got involved, they were not the least bit helpful, quite the opposite. There were four people at the store at the counter and no one was even attempting to offer any answers. they were apparently getting the driveway redone the following day and needed the lot empty and made no preparations to take care of customers. I left and called the reservation line and had it switched to the uhaul store I usually use on Preston. I got there and there were only two people there, but they were very positive and got me out and on my way in a very professional and caring manner. I love the Preston location and as for the Bardstown location it would be better served by cleaning house and finding a better class of people, they are the worst and made my adventure start out on a negative. That location is a huge balck eye on Uhaul.

I had to wait 50 minutes in line before getting my truck. There was only one person working on the last Sunday of the month - need to use a little common sense in scheduling. Also, filled the more than the suggested gas, was on 7/8th tank and added 4 gallons, but still got charged for gas. Will not be using Uhaul in the future.

Angela Swearingen should be FIRED. System kept charging me rental fees even though container was returned. Angela and her staff were worthless in solving the issue. I reported it to my bank as Unauthorized bank debit. Spoke to Terry Gossman who said a corporate manager would contact me. He/she did not. Angela Swearingen refused to return my calls. VERY DISSATISFIED

I was charged for a dolly I did not receive. I was charged for not having the vehicle clean, with mud on the tires. Inside of the truck was clean, I have pictures. I was charged $200 over the mileage I actually used. I had rented a 26’ truck with confirmation and was called and said there was no truck. Had to take a 20’. The app messed up times of renting and returning. Had to call to correct and was charged for 3 days when the rental was 2 days and 7 hrs rental.

I used the U-Boxes, it cost me $280 to rent them and there was alot that I was not told for example: there is a monthly fee for renting them, there was an additional fee for delivery.
