I will likely never come back. The gas was siphoned. The driver's side mirror was broken. I was cheated in billing on the gas that I provided. The guy who checked me never filed the paperwork. I was called two days later and asked where the van was. This place is a mess.Noah S.

I got a call on the day of my reservation because someone had siphoned there gas out of all the trucks at the original location I had made a reservation at. I got two calls informing me the reservation was transferred to this location, with the same truck and same pickup time. Moving is very stressful and not having the truck at the place you go to pick it up and have to go to another destination really sucks! Dispatch really needs to know the difference between in town trucks and one way trucks. This has happened to me to many times and it's frustrating.Shelly L.

The desk clerk who processed my employee at pickup was very rude. The manager was also rude too when my employee return the truck. Also, I made one reservation online for this, but somehow two reservations were emailed to me. And I also made sure to uncheck safe move, dolly, and blanket, as we have insurance that covers rental, and we have dolly and blanket too. But some how my reservation tagged those on when my employee picked up the truck. I really don't want to keep telling my employees to watch out for this hidden fees that get tagged on without my consent.TYLER Y.

Bad first: my "self pickup" didnt work. I tried logging in on my phone and it said to "wait until this location opens at 7am" despite the email confirming that I would be able to pick up the truck at 7pm after the business was closed. The good: one of the employees at the location was ending his day out back - I chatted with him and he helped me inside and got my set up in the truck despite the business being closed. Great guy and very happy I went to this location in particular. Just wish the self-pickup worked!PHILIP V.

It would have been nice if the van had the 1/4 tank of fuel. I was told I'd get a fuel credit when I brought it back, but it was so confusing, that I ended up handing the van back with half a tank. Now I'm out $15 bucks. Not a fan. The crew was unorganized and inattentive in the A.M. , but the same people were sharp and helpful in the afternoon. Confusing, but understandable in 2021. I'd come back, but hope for a better experienceMichael F.
The truck cleaning fee is unacceptable. The truck was dirty when we picked it up. The UHaul employee was smoking when he drove it around the block before I received it. There were drinks and ashes in the cab It stunk of pot smoke and cigarette smoke. I witnessed the UHaul employee smoking when he drove it. We do not owe Uhaul any money. Refund the charges. Terrible. Taking to Ford dealer to finish job. General manager has not calldd me back. Made 4 trips to facility, last one to get bed liner they left in work area. Missing spare tire tools that had never been used. Just a terrible experience and no call from Jeff Nelson confirms they do not care.William G.

I declined the $80 coverage fee for collision but was still charged. I spent 35 minutes on hold to talk. To an agent that started a claim to get this fee back. Your store charged me for something I didn't want as a way to make more money.TIMOTHY JAMES K.
Everything was fine except for the drop off automation online. It wouldn't allow me to show I was at that location and kept telling me to â€œallowâ€ location services for the website, which I did. After trying for 7 minutes, I had someone else use their phone to get through for me. It was frustrating. The owner was helpful and kind when we picked it up.ashley P.

Have people in the office for customer service! i or any other customer should not have to wait fifteen minutes for someone to show up (which they did not do), so I had to go out and search for someone to help me!! Also, the truck had not been cleaned! The cupholders in the cab were full of cigarette butts and ashes. The truck cab stunk!! I asked for a different truck, because this was unacceptable!!! The response was, "that is too much paperwork, we will clean it!" The cleanup was done very poorly, with just a quick spray of cleaner and wipe down, it still had a very strong cigarette smell!!! I had to stop at the first available store to get some air freshener! It took most of the can to the odor/smell barely acceptable for my 9 hour drive, later that day!! Not a usual standard for U-Haul??PHILIP K.

Upon getting the rig to my apartment, I noticed a greasy film covering the inside of the baggage part of the rig. We laid down blankets and made it work, but we had to be careful to make sure the oily residue didn't get on any of my belongings.NICHOLAS B.

I ordered a hitch, wrong one showed up, I had to go get the correct one at another store to have it installed. I also wanted the wiring mounted to the hitch as normal, but it was installed in the spare tire well and was told that's how they do the cars like mine. If I wanted a half ass job, I could of done it myself. When I asked the install shop why it was done that way, they told me that's the way it is and I sounded hostile by being disappointed with it.James M.

I have never been ripped off for gas until today. I have used the same size truck for years, a 15 foot. I drive the same 8 to 9 miles each time. I was told the first time I rented that the trucks get 10 miles/gal so I always put 1 gal plus of gas in it before return.. Today I was told it had 3/8 tank of gas and when I brought it back it had 1/4 tank and I had to add 3 more gal. of gas or pay a service fee, I did that but I just paid for somebody else's gas. It isn't possible to tell how much gas is in the tank as the gauge isn't readable for that detail. I suggest a digital readout or fill the tank before renting.SUE ANN R.

The online agents and 1-800 customer service is not knowledgeable. They charged me for a hitch at the lake Oswego location - I requested a refund 3 times. All three times I was told it was rectified. I'd recommend avoiding this location. The truck hadn't been cleaned and they didn't bother doing a condition report. Staff were rude, unprofessional, and not trained in procedures. I'd find another place to pick up a truck.Martha P.

truck was dirty outside and in. I had to wash the windows in and out in order to see clearly, and wash mud off the exterior. Dashboard info said right rear tire was low at 17 psi, so after attempting to contact U haul to address this, to no avail, I had to get out my own pump to restore the tire to the proper pressure. Message never returned, so leak was apparently a slow one.RICHARD S.

I have been a UHaul customer for over a decade, and this was by far the most horrific experience I've ever had. I was told by several local auto specialists to go to UHaul for a simple hitch installation; I will never refer any friends, family members, colleagues, or strangers to UHaul for hitch installation after this experience. I was told by the General Manager that this process would surprisingly take 1-2 hours tops. After four hours, without any communication, I decided to give UHaul on SE Powell a call; after 50 minutes on hold, I was re-routed to UHaul Headquarters' Customer Service. Obviously they could not inform me of the current status of my hitch; the only way for me to find more information, they informed me, was to visit the location itself. Upon arrival, I found that my car had not been moved from where I parked it five hours prior. The Customer Service representative was sitting, idling on his cell phone as I arrived. He told me I shouldn't have had those time expectations (which were given to me by the General Manager) to begin with; he informed me that it would only take another hour. Upon arrival to UHaul 15 minutes before closing (now over 7 hours after drop off), the Customer Service front desk man and mechanics were very rude and abrupt with their demeanor and communication. As I check out my hitch upon leaving, I notice there is no ball; I go back into the shop to inform them, only to be told, â€œOh, I forgot to give you a couple of pieces!â€ He forgot the pin and part of the hitch, informing me that the ball is back ordered and couldn't be installed (I was still charged for full labor of the entire hitch installation). As we continue the conversation and I ask for a print out of my purchases (since they forgot several items I paid for), I was greeted (once again) with rude demeanor, abrupt conversation, and patronizing tones, as one mechanic was eating his Top Ramen at the front desk. Especially as a young woman, I felt very uncomfortable with the conversation and tone that was used. This entire process was appalling, inappropriate, and demonstrated horrific, inexcusable customer service. I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future and encourage everyone else to do the same.Caitlin B.
