The staff there is great. I've spent a trailer every weekend for the past 5 or 6 weeks. The online process and app is great and very simple. Recently, I had a problem with a trailer that may have been mistakenly out back n to service. The problem it impossible to use the trailer. First off the truck smelled like someone hauled trash in it previouslyâ€¦ literally. Old beer and food smell. But I had no time to change anything I had an event scheduled for my small business. Then at drop off I was completely ignored. There was only 2 employees one just stared at me and kept on the computer. No customer service what so ever. Then another employee walks in . Very slow. Hung up some keys. He starts to walk out . I said excuse me and he ignored me. I'm not a quiet person nor do I speak in a soft voice. The other customers in the office turned their heads when I said it. The only reason I was in your office was because your website kept crashing. And not because of my signal. I had 5 g. I have rented her so many times but the older gentleman is always there and he is always very good to work with. He was not there yesterday and it was a horrible experience.Nicole M.

Your mobile app is not clear on when you are done reserving and paying. I went in to my mobile transaction and had info on why i had no info on what Lock box was mine. Yet I got an email giving me my estimated price tag. Looked pretty official for completed. However, very inconvient. Chatted online and was told I only had it reserved. It was just to frustrating to continue online so the chat put it so i could just walked in and finished my business. Service was very good at the site from beginning to end.Jeanna B.

Please wash trucks in between rentals. The outside was bug ridden and just dirty from road grime. Gives the impression that trucks may not be well maintained. Inside the cab had some sticky residue over the passenger floorboard and cup holders. I don't even think anyone looked at this truck before renting it out again.Stevey O.

We came to return our rental and their was only one employee the whole morning, attending to a line out the door and we were in line for an hour. The customer service was extremely poor, their was a miscommunication on my contract and the miles I used but it was resolved.michael B.
To drop of there is a sign to stay in vehicle and someone will come. No one came. Had to go inside and it took so long. When I finally got to the register the lady tells me there is supposed to be a guy outside. Well obviously there was no. One. Next time people should be there Especially if the sign says so. A reservation pickup line. I spent 15 minutes waiting for the people in front of me, that showed up totally unprepared, to ask every question in the book and had no idea what they were doing. The counter guy did great dealing with them, me not so much.Joshua D.

The fuel gauge was greatly affected by the slope the truck was on. It showed 3/4 full when I got in, but when I moved the truck 10 feet to the level blacktop it immediately changed to 5/8. The trucks fuel should only be checked on a level surface. I felt that the management was certainly aware of this; However, they chose to ignore this as it usually works in their favor.Melissa H.

Rented a tow dolly. Everything went well. My only complaints would be when I arrived I waited 10 minutes in office with no one around and tow dolly was covered with oil. But overall good customer service when they did show up.Don M.

Let's us leave with a trailer that had a flat tire. Immediately returned the trailer. The store would not trade it for another trailer even though there were other trailers not reserved. Had to wait over 4 hours until road side replaced the tire.William M.

They were very slow in no rush at all and we needed gas in it so we took it to the gas station to put 3/4 of a tank and we did and by the time we got back it had drop and we still need 1/16 of gas so then we had to pay 16 more cause we didn't want to go back to the gas station to put that little drop in needless to say renting a truck for 19.95 turned out to be 65$Henry G.

The drop off experience was great! Donovan was friendly, quick and efficient. Unfortunately, I will not be recommending uhaul. The reservation experience was horrible and the pick up was a nightmare. The wait was over an hour to get my vehicle that day. May I suggest additional people or at least an separate line for people that have reservations.Donamay F.

Same thing happened last time I returned but that was during business hours so an employee helped. The number one reason I had a positive experience at U-Haul in Visalia is because of the people involved. I never thought it would matter who's working at the U-Haul, but it mattered at the Visalia location. The folks there were patient, kind, respectful, and went above and beyond to support the customer (like Chris). Their tool shop was open and they were quick to fix an issue with my trailer rental and get me on the road, all the way up to closing time. The facilities were always immaculate, nearly hospital clean. The bathrooms were clean and operational. The equipment, like carts, ready and available.DAVID B. | Overall Experience
Easily reserved my unit online days prior to moving my stuff in, they had it ready for me with a free lock & even a Uhaul piggy bank it being an indoor storage really makes a difference in this summer heat. Chris was very helpful at addressing issues we experienced with our move out. A+++ for his assistance!! The lady who checked me in, initially was lovely. The reasons I would not recommend this facility are: 1) poor staffing relative to the volume that this location experiences. This site has been like this for years. You make money by providing substandard service because you can. 2) flooded storage area, then difficulty reaching staff to find out what happened because.....#1. 3) I suggest someone do a walk-through at night to ensure that vehicles on remote pickup are accessible and that late night dropoff spots are clearly marked. 4) When there's a problem and the manager is unreachable that speaks volumes about what is important and it's not the customer. No dedicated troubleshooter on call after hours? Check. My new storage is with an independent chain, and people could not be nicer. I really like dealing with real people and not people reciting corporate scripts. They called to follow up with me on moving day and made themselves available after scheduled office hours when they knew we were running late. WOW!! This uhaul is somewhat saved by the people here who manage to care despite the hurdles to doing so. I deeply respect those doing a good job under these circumstances. You are front line workers. I'm sorry you have to deal with what you deal with Better staffing will alleviate the negative google reviews because people who aren't so stressed can do a better job. Customers who can anticipate better service don't come in primed to make sure everyone around them has a bad day. Other than this location being a little overwhelmed by high demand and low staff, this is an excellent location. Starting with the fairly young manager Duncan Vaughn. He goes out of his way to guide and take care of your needs. With our few hundred mile move, truck and tow dolly drop off. Also making our reserved storage space possible after some hiccups in the UHAUL system. Reserved a storage unit at a location in Fresno, CA and was later told that the unit was no longer available and that the only storage option was an hour away in Visalia, CA. We drove all the way out to Visalia and were told our reservation did not appear in their system, even though I had the Reservation Number and provided it. Refusal of billing staff to properly maintain customer information, direct payment for storage units, and still receive late notices for unpaid invoices. Extremely frustrating! Office managers being placed in no win positions by upper management, resulted in lost time, extra effort by the customer. Rental vehicle was filthy and tech on the truck did not work. Very disappointed with Uhaul, after several rentals and storage ventures, this by far was the worst!
