I couldn't reserve it for more than 24 hours online, but could by calling the store. The online process needs to be updated. I don't understand why there is a limit on the number of days you can rent one period. If it's available for a month I should be able to reserve it for a month. I needed it for three days, but instead had to figure out how to do it in two. That was stupid and created more issues for me and less money for U-haul.JOSHUA M S.

The process was quite smooth. A truck was available on short notice, and ready to go when I arrived. I went with U-Haul in part because you open earlier than Penske. I wanted to get an early start, and the ability to pick up earlier was a deciding factor. Check in process was easy when returning the truck. Staff was friendly and professional. The system was painfully slow and clumsy. I was not told that a third party reference would be asked at the last minute as I was picking up the truck. I could only think of my son, who was at work at the moment and received a call from you at a totally inconvenient moment! We had every other thing required but the procedure for checking out the car took forever and it was conducted remotely by some girl who clearly had no skills whatsoever! The return process was much better as a young man assisted us far more professionally than the remote person at pickup.Edgar R.
The mobile service experience could be improved on. I had to go into the store to get assistance because the GPS could not locate me. However when dropping off after hours I did not have that option and I had to trouble shoot on my own for 15 minutes before being able to return my rental. Please work on setting up number to call after hours if you return after store closes and no one is there to assist with return. Other than that it was a fine experience.CHRISTOPHER C.

Do not let us choose the truck size weeks ahead. To then call us the day before to pick up the truck 80 miles away. Moving is already stressful and adding the additional mileage is not good. I will post this on every social media how you trick people.Robert M.
You need to bring trucks back to California!!! It was 3 days before our move date when I found out that I had a truck. For distance moves that is not enough time . Your equipment and U-Haul centers are great but the not knowing if I had a truck overshadowed all the good.Lisa R.

Better wifi. I was unable to use the I like return function because the cell service was so bad so I was charged a $20 service fee. They know it's an issue so sometimes I feel it's their way to get a little extra $$ over the rental rateMICHELE R.

The van I rented had a service light on for the â€œstabilitrakâ€, I didn't think anything of it, since I didn't know what that is. But once I got on the freeway, and got up to 60 MPH, the sensor would malfunction and the van would slow down, pull to the left while shaking violently. I almost caused 3 collisions before getting back to the store. When I talked to the CSR, he offered no apology or acknowledgement that they had made a mistake, but they did get me a van that worked. The guy that checks in the equipment was very nice and sympathetic though.Jacob T.

Although I needed the van for only a couple of hours, your crew at the Del Monte, Monterey location was fast and efficient. Really appreciate the professionalism at this location. Horrible experience, I will never use UHaul again or recommend you! I was notified at 605pm the night before my reservation that I had to pick up my UHaul 88 miles from the location I chose. It was a 3 hour round trip just to get the UHaul. I had to find new help to load and get a ride to UHaul being that my car was already in Southern CA. All that was compensated was the miles, ridiculous! You'll made a already stressful situation of moving that much more stressful. I asked to be compensated more and that was it! That is the worst customer satisfaction experience coming from someone that's been in customer service for 26 years.Rhiannon T.

I rented the truck Thursday..When I Started it the gasoline line is before 1/2 tank..So when I returned the Truck I put $6.00+ of gasoline and it ended in 1/2. Your email to me to check everything came too late I already returned the Truck by the time I notice the email..Then I received this mail yesterday but just read it tonight and I was Charge $7.12 extra for 1.5 gallon gasoline. My point is I put more gasoline on the Truck than when what it have when I picked it up..Your record of gasoline in the tank is not accurate.for 25 miles round trip I am paying $13.00+Vicente A.

As a disabled veteran, I was discriminated against . The front staff worker was extremely rude and not accommodating. I had to go back the next day to get the dolly that the staff forgot to give me and was given a difficult time about it. we got our uhaul rental for 2 days/ 48 hours and we picked up on Saturday November 7th at 11:30am and we were required to bring back by Monday November 9th by 7am if not the uhaul would not be released to us even though we had it until that Monday at 11:30am. We are being charged for the full 2 days/48 hours and it is unfair to be required to return earlier and still be charged the full amount. It was not convenient to us to have to return earlier than we had to especially if that is what we agreed upon during rental agreement. I am upset at the fact that this even happened, we are a professional business and I don't believe this was handled correctly in any manner.FRANCISCO H.

The gentleman that I originally spoke with was very nice and business like. The man that checked me out when I returned the van was rude. He was angry at me for not driving the van around the corner. I agree that I was 30 mins late returning the van then had to wait in line for 20 mins once I got to the office to check that I returned it in good condition. When I arrived we found that the drop off location was ~5 hours away from the requested drop off location (near LA vs. Monterey CA). Not being familiar with the area I didn't catch this ahead of time. I was initially told I had to drive the trailer to LA but I refused and said this was a uHaul dispatch error. After several phone calls it was resolved. The check in agent was very friendly but the manager had to be prodded to resolve the issue. Didn't seem like he was anxious to inform me it was resolved because he starred at his phone for several minutes after it was resolved and I had to ask him if everything was ok. At that point he said yes. I appreciate that the issue was resolved but the manager didn't seem interested in what he was doing and needed to be prodded. Two days later I still have not received the $23.76 refund to my credit card which was told will occur but maybe that takes some time... don't know.Tom B.

After reserving the truck two weeks prior to moving, you guys canceled my reservation 15 minutes before I was supposed to pick up the truck. This is very unacceptable. I had to pay extra money to cancel the movers and I have three kids that I had to take care of in the meantime. The nearest truck for me and my family was 75 miles away and I had to drive two hours to pick up the truck. I had to improvise and get a Intown truck and pay $1.19 per mile for 500 miles. All I wanted was a little sympathy from your personnel that worked at the Del- monte U-Haul in Monterey but was given no courtesy whatsoever. I will never use you guys again.Toby L.
Took 3 tries to get the trailer I reserved. (It wasn't there the first two times even though I reserved it.) The employees all had an attitude except for the girl working there that day (Wednesday 10/28). This third reservation was booked by "the regional manager" who said they would set me up with a discount for my troubles. That didn't happen. The trailer straps were stuffed through the wrong way and had to be pried out because the ratchet straps were jammed as a result. Overall the worst rental experience I've ever had.Cole K.
