This location has very good customer service staff. However, the truck equipment is marginal and the property on J. Clyde is extremely cramped and hazardous.

Nathan MeadowsCorporate needs to work on making the App more bulletproof and user friendly... took me 2 hours of time I was supposed to have had the truck to negotiate the app and it woukd not lock onto store location while I was standing in front of the store. I had to manually pick the truck up in the store when it opened. The pickup side of the App is flawed. The turn in side of it wasn't bad, a little glitch, but I got it to work.
ROBERTEDWARD CURRANSteering on truck felt very loose. Very intrusive to have picture taken for rental, question data security for that. Joke of using truck share with intrusive calling of multiple people when trying to pick up rental.

I accepted a hand truck for free instead but that changed my move plan significantly. I was moving an old, heavy washing machine and had to go up/down steps.

Desiree CrichlowI ran into a small hiccup when I got there, the truck I ordered had not come back, it was not at all the fault of the staff. They tried to rectify it immediately and as it turned out the truck was brought back before I left so I was able to go on my way with my Rental. These guys are super fantastic, very professional and helpful. I am an Operations Manager at ABM and we will continue to do business with this location. Thank you so much!!!
Anita Wilson-BookerI had reserved a furniture dolly, we were moving a piano so this was essential. When I got there, they told me they didn't have any, but they would give me a normal handtruck instead. When I said that wouldn't work, they found me a furniture dolly, but then charged me for both the handtruck, that I had no use for, and the furniture dolly that 2 minutes prior they claimed not to have. The truck's headliner was falling down terribly, to the point I thought it was going to hit me in the head over large bumps, and the alignment was awful, requiring me to constantly fight to keep the truck travelling in a straight line. They also told me there was a $20 charge if I returned the truck after hours, but didn't know what their hours were, so I had no idea when I needed to get the truck back. Staff members were extremely friendly and pleasant to deal with, but I got charged extra for nothing, and the truck was awful. They also told me the truck would have 3/4 tank, and when I got in it was only at 5/8, so they hadn't even checked the truck in properly.

Hannah CookA person who would not give their name but appeared to be the manager started an argument with me about the type of vehicle that I owned that I would be using as the tow vehicle. I attempted to explain that I had previously rented the same type of trailer from the Greenbrier location in Chesapeake, VA, using this same vehicle. She told me that I did not know what type of vehicle I owned because it was not showing up in their system. I asked her to explain how their system was different from the online system and the system at the Greenbrier location. At this time, she stated, and I quote, "I NEED TO Educate YOU ON WHAT YOU ACTUALLY OWN". After much back and forth she finally relented and honored my reservation. I have rented from numerous U Haul locations throughout the years and have never been subjected to such a hostile and abusive situation. I will never rent from this location, nor will I recommend it to anyone that I know.

Micheal VANNThis Uhaul location has the unfair practice of giving you a truck that does not have a full tank of gas. They expect you to return the truck with the exact amount of gas as when you received it. This is near impossible to gauge perfectly and of course you error to the more full side in order to not be charged. This is a way of ripping off customers a few gallons of gas each rental. It may be only an additional $10 per customer , but is an unfair practice. The fair way is for each customer to receive a rental with a full tank and return it with a full tank without being forced to guess how many gallons are needed. .
janine seamanThe movers, Ready To Move M&L, I selected via the U-Haul app were absolutely great! Moving is a fluid experience, with unexpected changes. Their staff worked quickly, efficiently, and politely. They followed our instructions for packing and loading particular items. We had to coordinate with other contractors, and their staff worked well coordinating the logistics. I HIGHLY recommend this company.

Carl AlexanderNotify me 1st before sending for a locksmith, because I LOST my key! I am low income and temporarily homeless, and tried to work out a deal to pay 1/3 of the locksmith charge each month for the next 3 months, but was told you would NOT do it!!!! So now I have called my bank, to stop payment of anything over $300.00, but they said if they stopped payment, even the charges I DID authorize would NOT BE PAID. I didn't want that, so the teller made a note on my account that I am NOT AUTHORIZING anything over $300.00. If the account IS charged, I can dispute the charges. You will get MORE MONEY out of me by not sending this to collections. Because I will NOT BE ABLE to pay anything above $125.00 this month!!!!

At one point they even tried to pawn me off to another dealer that was further up the road the facility was also cramped and with a truck and trailer it was incredibly cramped in the parking lot I feel the space could have been used a lot better the uhaul up in evans mills NY where I picked up the trailer was much more pleasant to deal with. Thanks and I hope things improve with this site
