Have employees that prepare a truck to resolve engine trouble check light, before sending me (customer) on A long road trip. Have employee that secured vehicle onto car trailer secure the tire hold down straps tight and secure, as well as both hold down chains, one was dragging road.

The agent was not there when I drop off because they did not open until 9. I did return when open to ask her about getting credit for over filling the truck because the meter stuck while filling and their response was it's not their fault and it's nothing they can do and it's my loss.

This review is NOT about the downtown Orlando location, but the U-Haul rental experience overall. I rented a U-Haul weeks in advance, and hired 2 movers from a separate company. The day of my move, I jumped in an Uber with plenty of time and phone battery to go pickup my U-Haul, but the location of my U-Haul pickup had apparently canceled my reservation with no notice. I sat in the parking lot and drained my phone battery trying to coordinate a U-Haul pickup at another nearby facility in time, then waited for another Uber to bring me there. This time the pickup location was in the middle of nowhere (miles’ walk from any nearby gas station), I had no clue where I was. The business was closed, the U-Haul app incorrectly assigned me a truck that wasn’t even there, and there was no key in the box for the trucks that WERE there. I had used the rest of my phone battery trying to figure this out, and I was in the middle of nowhere, NO CLUE WHERE I WAS or where to even walk for help. By now, my movers would be arriving any second, so with 2% battery left, I had to order YET ANOTHER Uber just to make it home before my battery died or the movers came & left. When I got home, I called U-Haul, spent about 30 mins on the phone getting this figured out. Thankfully the lady on the U-Haul help line did figure it out, but she only gave me a $50 credit to cover “the hour of the movers being paid to just sit there” but the movers alone cost $120/hr EACH, and there were 2 of them. Besides the movers, I also paid: - Easily $100 in Ubers - By the time this was figured out, I only had 30 mins left w my movers, but there was NO way I could get everything out in that time. So I had to pay $700 more than I expected to keep the movers there after hours to help me move. - Because I was rushing due to having to pay the 2 movers each $300/hr overtime, we had to just throw stuff out of my apartment as quickly as possible, which broke stuff in the process - The loss of my $1,600 deposit per above -After returning my U-Haul on time and with gas added, I was charged an additional $120 but can’t find out what this was from So this move which should have cost me $400 if U-Haul hadn’t canceled my initial reservation, easily cost me several thousand dollars due to their lack of logistical coordination. I believe U-Haul should refund me for this entire rental, even though that wouldn’t come close to reimbursing me for the other costs U-Haul’s mistakes have cost me. But so far no one has reached out or even given me the little $50 credit

They were professional, courteous and did a good job! We were told it could be dropped at any location in the city, but I received an email later in the day telling me where to drop it off. It was cleared up when I called and spoke with them. My nephew dropped off the van, but because no one was there and he didn’t have the contract with him, he took the key home with him. When i was notified I didn’t return the key, I got in touch with him to see what happened. The key was returned as I learned the key and truck match each other. The key was dropped off in the morning today. Better communication about returning car when one person paying and the driver are two different people.

This location by far is the most excellent example of providing the best customer service experience. Everyone and I do mean everyone from the service representatives to the general manager are courteous, helpful, organized and responsible employees. I am and continue to be impressed with every single experience I have encountered this facility.

I made a reservation for a furniture dolly, an appliance dolly, and blankets. When I got there, I was told they didn’t have any of the dolly’s just the blankets. They were able to find an appliance dolly that had barely working wheels and I had to take it. Needless to say it made my job a lot more difficult when moving. The gas gauge was supposed to be at 1/2 tank but when I got in it it was below the line. I asked the guy said it was fine but they did not record it and I had to bring it back with more gas than when I got it. Unprofessional employees with pants pulled down showing their behind. That’s not a good look for a business. The truck was clean and worked fine except for the driver side mirror that could not be adjusted.

Pick up was smooth and staff very helpful. No one at the drop off location, but plenty of space to leave the trailer.

The vehicle I rented needed cleaning in the driving area. Also, it needed maintenance in the engine and the the loading area. The door in the back was off track and kept getting stuck and it it opened while I was driving. The engine light was on the entire time and it couldn’t go faster than 30mph without sounding like it was gong to blow up. The return process was very poor on the app as well. Very disappointing.

I've booked rental dollies for moving on Dec 10 for my move on Jan 20. When I arrived to the location at 840 S Orange Blossom Trl, there were ZERO dollies available for me. What you can improve? Simple as that - HAVE THE EQUIPMENT ON SITE when customers need them.

The person who gave me the reservation was sleeping, gave me the key I had to look for the truck myself. The truck was dirty and smelly, I had to take the advertisement cardboard out the truck. Didn't give me the right gas amount so I had to verify that I didn't get charged extra for bringing the truck with the same amount it had. If I had t video taped it I would've been charged. It was a complete mess.

This location had almost no where to park. I couldn’t understand why this was an option to drop off for a discount since the lot was over filled with vehicles. The lot was also dark and dirty. It smelled like homeless people are living on the lot behind vehicles.

The trucks check engine light was on and the alignment was all off. Certainly not a safe truck to drive long distances. During the rain it was a real hazard.

It’s on the corner of a busy street full of crazy homeless people. We were approached by one begging for money. And the lot is crazy after hours with little to no space for returns.

The truck was towed in by a towing service. I never saw or talked to anyone at this location.
