First I want to start off by saying that I had a great experience with one employee but unfortunately another employee ruined that experience. Diego Sanchez helped me when I went to rent a trailer, had a great experience. When I went to drop off the trailer, it was my first time dropping off at that location and first time handling a trailer of that type. My wife went inside to ask where we should proceed with the trailer and an employee in there which I didn't get his name, slim build, with glasses basically blew her off and was super rude to her, he had a terrible attitude. He embarrassed her, and made her really upset. We had no idea where to leave the trailer or how to remove it. It's not like we were handling a small item, it was a trailer and not easy to navigate. No one likes their time wasted. After waiting several minutes and no one coming out I then went inside and that employee was talking to another customer so Diego helped me again and helped me remove and park the trailer which had a faulty stand. Diego took care of everything and was really friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the actions of the other employee ruined our experience and no longer plan on visiting that location. This occurred on 10/10/2021 around 4pm.Victor P.

Showed up at my appointment time and there was no one to give me the keys to the van. The owner of the shop it was at said it would be at least 45 mins. We drove down the street to an actual uhaul location and thankfully a gentleman there was able to move our reservation to another location further away. Once there that interaction was great. Just very disappointed that we booked a specific time and that was irrelevant to whoever rents them out. We had to drive further so that increased our price and travel time. I called customer service and initiated the process for the $50 guarantee due to this inconvenience.Marcelo M.

I was originally supposed to pick up from a Signal Hill location on Pacific Coast Highway using mobile pick up so I could begin my day before hours. I had no communication from Uhaul and instead waited for an hour and a half before I was able to speak to a representative inside the location. The representative told me the truck was not returned the night before and thus began looking for a different location for me to get the same size truck for me. I would have appreciated an automated email the night before or even the morning of, alerting me the equipment was still in use. Instead, I wasted valuable hours of a stressful day waiting for the store to open and someone to redirect me 20 min away. This location was an extra distance from my original location, I paid for the rental fee plus the mileage fee (higher because of the new pick up site), and should not be charged for this additional mileage. Representatives at each location were slow but polite and helpful, the issue lies in proper equipment management.Emma E.

There clearly needs to be some more training when it comes to checking out trucks, because I had a horrible Uhaul experience. When I came to pay for the truck I had rented, I asked the employee to make sure that the drop off location I had selected was indeed listed as the drop off. This is because I had already spoken to TWO Uhaul workers (different location and drop off location), about my drop off- and to my surprise, my drop off location was again not listed in my reservation. I then told the employee where my drop off needed to be, but instead of looking for the address, I was given different drop off options, nearly, if not, more than 30 miles away from my destination. I, obviously, told the employee that I will not drive an extra 30 miles just to drop off my truck, when I know the exact location that I had confirmed, with Uhaul previously, as a drop off location. Instead of listening to me, the employee then selected, "customer does not know drop off" location and was told that I can just drop it off. This was definitely NOT the case. Because the entire drop off process, if done after hours (which was my case), you have to do the entire drop off process online or through the app. Well, because the employee had never selected an actual drop off location for my truck, the website or the app will never be able start the drop off process, therefore, I was essentially stuck with this truck. (To clarify, because it was after hours, no stores were open for me to call and talk to.) My last option was to call Uhauls, 1800, number and hopefully speak to an operator. Thankfully, after a 45 minute wait time, I was able to speak with someone, who found the exact location I had said my drop off location needed to be, and added it to my reservation. So word to the wise, if you ever have an after-hours drop off, make 100% sure a location has been confirmed!Luke S.

My reservation at another location was canceled at the last minute because someone didn't return a truck and I was redirected to the Cherry location. I was charged $23 for fuel after going 11 miles. It's a rip off to approve the gas gauge when it looked the same as when I returned it. After going 11 miles, it should be obvious I didn't use any gas whether I approved the gauges or not. It's simple math and they didn't careJohn J.

The mobile pickup experience was a failure. I waited over 10 minutes for the mobile support agent to do the secondary verification. Fed up, I checked in with an agent at the location and was finished in 30 seconds. U-Haul, stop promoting the mobile pickup process if you cannot adequately service customers in a timely manner.Dara K.

Good service from both pickup and drop off loactions, equipment worked well. But Uhaul's inability to confirm a reservation until 1-2 days before the need is really a disservice to your customers. Moving is stressful enough without worrying about whether "reserved" equipment is actually available. Because of this I would not recommend Uhaul to friends.David P.

Truck broke down within 30 minutes of driving away from your location overheated and truck shut down. You guys charged me for a broke down truck then your mechanic came and said nothing was wrong with the truck and told us to continue driving it to Moreno Valley from Long Beach to be stuck out on the freeway, because he said it was okay. And we notified your store and they could not do anything and they you bill for a break down truck and that was totally un call for did not offer a discount or anything. there was conflicting information coming from agents. we setup a phone self truck pick up at 6am and called the day prior to the schedule to confirm it would be ready, they specified we can only pick up at 7am when the store opens when we went through the entire process of setting up a self pick up online. turns out when we arrive at 7, another agent said our truck was ready and available for self pickup at 6am. also, we ordered 4 packaging items to be included in our truck, only 2 were inside. both of these things caused our move to be harderDonovan H.
