The vehicle had a bad cigarette smell and was dirty on the inside but it only allowed one picture to be taken. The car they assigned me, they double booked it so we had to figure out which person was going to get the first vehicle, since the other one was trapped behind it. so it took me extra time to get where I was needing to pick up large furniture at a certain time. You need more staff. Wating for a long tome to be served. Was told I would receive my receipt via email. Have not and now need to follow up. Not sure why your staff prioritize answering phone calls and helping individuals on the phone over customers in the office who have been waiting, surely you should train them to answer the phone and let the caller know they are dealing with another customer and ask them to wait. The whole 2 phone calls was not communicated to me and is absolutely ridiculous.James K.

There is no parking for personal vehicles, you have to park in a parking lot across the street. Staff was nice but there were not a lot of employees to help customers so the lines took forever. Additional resources in store would be nice. I'll likely go to another location just for the ease of being able to park my personal vehicle on-site rather then in a distant parking lot.RALPH C.

We showed up at 8am on the dot for our reservation we made online for 8am. We waited for over an hour in line (only 2 people ahead of us) before we got our U-haul. Terrible customer service, the guy very rude and acted like he had no care that there was a line our the door. We asked the man working if we could drop off the U-haul at 7pm instead of the original time listed for 5pm and he said it wasn't a problem. Well he never changed it and the store was calling us thinking we were late and we weren't. Very disappointed over an hour of our time was wasted this morning when we could have used that extra hour for moving. Especially when I did everything online to ensure it would be a quick and painless pick up. It was the opposite of quick and painless.MEGHAN M.

This office is still one of the best places in town to rent a truck. And what makes it so reliable is the lady who works there in the morning. There was one manager and one employee working the morning we picked our truck up. Both were courteous but location was understaffed. Also, while waiting their computer system went down. After a lengthy wait to pick up our truck which had under 1/8 gall gas, we drove to a gas station. I went to open the back to check for the dolly I had reserved and found someone's padlock on the door. So back to the Uhaul we went to get it unlocked, only to find there was no dolly. First I was sent to give my rental, when I got there a towing co. Was there and they said they are out of contract with u haul and don't know anything about it. So I called and went through different calls then I had to drive 6 miles in the bz streets of Sacramento down town 65 street and drop off on that location that location is a mess equipment wise and staff wise need way more training please,SHAKEEL MOHAMMAD A.

New appliance dolly was an excellent piece of equipment to make appliance moving go smoothly. And the owner didn't turn us away as we arrived 1 minute to closing with our small trailer. Get anyone else besides the person who helped me. Literally any other person would be better. I regret going there and will never return. He was extremely unprofessional and lewd (he discussed female genitalia with his coworker openly), he was distracted and took sooooooooooooo long, I almost walked out, and he kept calling me Doug. â€œHere you go, Doug.â€ â€œYou're good to go, Doug.â€ My name is Tom, I repeated and spelled my name to him multiple times during the process and he took pictures of my license. He kept reminding me how much time he had until he was off. Didn't even go over the truck with me. I thought I was good to go, but turns out I was supposed to check the truck, document the mileage, and look for damage. He should have reminded me. When I returned the truck, the woman who helped me wanted to know why I said I was glad to see her and not the man from the day before. I wasn't gonna bother telling her, because there was someone standing right there, but she insisted that I waste the next customer's time and explain why I wasn't happy with dude from before. The entire experience makes me want to tell everyone I know not to use Uhaul. I'm glad my partner wasn't with me to hear the vulgar conversation.Thomas M.

Regarding 9-foot cargo vans I have been renting each April for several years, I'm not a fan of the GMC model ... reduced visibility in the cab, â€œswingingâ€ side doors (as opposed to the single sliding door), etc. Would strongly prefer that my future rentals involve the model I got in 2016, 2017 and 2018 â€” I believe it was a Ford Transit.Jeffrey W.

went into the store to pick up the truck I'd reserved. Employee was sitting behind the counter staring at the screen. after several minutes of being ignored I realized she was on the phone with a customer and had a bluetooth. really, it takes nothing to look up and indicate I see you and will be with you soon. then the whole mess of getting a text to upload a driver's license which took a couple minutes and logging on to u-hauls guest wi-fi. finally, after returning the truck after 9 miles and putting a gallon of gas in, another employee told me the charge was $11 more than quoted. when I asked him why he told me it was for gas. after I told him how far I went and that I just came from the gas station a block away he said he would "waive" the gas fee. all in all, not a good experienceGREGORY S.

The U-Haul Location on 65th is amazing. However your customer service call Center's are terrible. Last year I spent over $9k from my company to you. And now I can't even rent a truck for longer then an 24 hr period. I have to book daily trucks and then told me today I'm Not allowed to do that. Your team would rather them sit or possible rented out to a family than take multi day rental from one person. What is the sense of that ?Adam C.

Since my last rental a month ago, this locations policy re customer parking has changed. Parking across 65th street and walking over (if you use the light, which I did since 65th is incredibly busy) and walking back adds a minimum 15 minutes to the rental. Next time, I'll shop other locations before renting here.Mary M.
