Drop the absolutely REDICULOUS policy of asking for the name and phone numbers of 2 people I know? To verify I am who I am? I thought the guy at the counter was JOKING! Without ANY WARNING on the website, you are asking to randomly call and interupt people at work? I will NEVER rent at a UHAUL again because of this insane requirement. (not to mention I can' believe it actually helps you reduce whatever fraud you are trying to avoid? LIke if I was going to scam you guys don't you think I could find 2 accomplices that I could get to say good things about me? REDICULOUS.Stuart E.

I had a terrible experience. I will never go to this location again and will make every effort to avoid Uhaul in the future altogether. I have left reviews on Google and Yelp to the same effect. The person I interacted with had a name tag identifying him as "Luis Gonzalez" and that he was the "owner". Though I had made a 4 hour reservation online and provided all the information sought from me, Mr. Gonzalez demanded that I provide him with the contact information for 2 different people as "emergency contacts". He then immediately called those people and demanded that they identify themselves and confirm that they knew I would be renting a Uhaul. It was bizarre, invasive and offensive. Moreover, though my first "emergency contact" indicated that she would be really available for the entirety of my 4 hour rental, Mr. Gonzalez nevertheless insisted that he get in touch with someone else. The only conclusion I could reach is that Me. Gonzalez wanted to identify people who he could harass in the event of some dispute over my rental. Me. Gonzalez also demanded that I provide him with copies of my car insurance policy--something that I have never been asked for when renting a car, as I have done dozens of times in the past. Mr. Gonzalez has destroyed any goodwill I felt towards Uhaul, and I intend to warn as many others as I can to avoid Uhaul.JESSE D.

There was no customer parking i had to park across the street and cross a busy street. There was a crosswalk and light but the traffic was heavy both ways and right next to a freeway exit. It very inconvenient especially since it looked like there was room at the store grounds. The employees were great checking me in and out. I give them a highly satisfied score.LUPE B.

Turned the vehicle in. Did a walk around and everything was good. I asked the employee how much the cleaning fee was and he notified me they would charge a $25 fee for cleaning because the vehicle was dirty. I agreed and signed off. The employees said I was good to go and he would email my receipt. 20 minutes later I got a call saying they will charge me and & $800 cleaning fee. That the truck was un-drivable and damaged. I went back to the store to take a look and it was in good condition, drivable and available to rent to someone else. We took photos and videos. The. They called saying let's negotiate, how about I charge you $500. I honestly feel like they were trying to take advantage of me. I have rented from different uhaul locations and have never experienced this. I have turned the trucks in the same way and they have charged me $25 cleaning fee. If it was more, why would they not have told me before I left. I dropped it off 30-45 minutes earlier than the time I was supposed to. If they would have said anything about an outrages cleaning fee, I could have taken it down the street and got it wiped down real quick. It literally just needed to be wiped down. $800 is outrageous. Then to say we will negotiate to $500. I think this is something this located does to make extra money. I have pictures and videos as proof of how the truck was turned in. $800 even $500 is excessive. This is unprofessional and unethical of them. I give this location thumbs down for review. I have also noticed comments from other renters having the same issues with this location. I think this location should be investigated immediately.Marissa V.

I found the process tedious and overly intrusive. It took three times to get the registration process to work the my phone. I specifically chose to go into the office to avoid this. Why you require me to provide two people as emergency contacts and provide their phone numbers is ridiculous. I was told the gas tank was full and it was not. I had to estimate the amount of gas to put in the tank and put in too much which cost me additional money. I would like an apology and a $10 discount off of the rate I was charged.MARK H.

I answered yes to the clean equipment it I would say it would need some improvement at least on the outside of the vehicles. The inside of the vehicle was clean. Overall I was impressed by the general manager Robert. He was very knowledgeable and was friendly and patient. Kudos to him!Amanda G.

The self check in process was a nightmare. They give you 3 different vehicle # options. The first truck was NOWHERE in the lot. The second was boxed in from all sides. The 3rd was there but did not have the dolly or blankets I paid for.Stevie W.
1) I rented a van this time and although it was clean, it did not drive well on the freeway. Noticed later in my rental that all four tires were not inflated correctly or consistently. I think this is why it was difficult to keep the vehicle straight in the lane at times. 2) I registered online and chose the mobile checkin. This was promoted as a time savor. It did not save time. Everything done on my phone is what was done on my previous visit by the clerk not using the mobile check in. The process stalled at one point and the clerk was no help. It stalled before I was able to confirm the feel level, the clerk thought it was the wi-fi, but going off the wi-fi didn't help. He said just take a picture. When I return Ned the vehicle, the person checking it back in has all the information on their hand held computer. Something really should be done to streamline the rental process. I have witnessed this slow frustrating process at a multiple location, not just the one I usually use.Kent A.

No customer parking and confusion during check-out are my main concerns. I elected to pickup/return my equipment via mobile application. During the pickup, I was told I cannot park in their lot and was advised to park at Target or the residential street behind the lot. Upon return, as I was in the middle of my mobile check-out, an employee came to "help" and check me out faster than I did and proceeded to tell me "I was done". I said I was checking out and he said, "I giving you your total sir". While I appreciate the courtesy, I elected to check my equipment in/out and was doing fine until I felt interrupted by an employee whom I felt was rushing me out of a process I chose to complete myself anyway. In the future, I will not visit this location again (closest to me) and let your staff deal with the check out at the next location I choose. I called ahead of time and used the website to make sure I could tow a small trailer with a Toyota Rav4. The guy said my hitch was too low then adjusted my receiver and ball and then it still didn't work out. I ended up having to rent a truck and a trailer. A $26 trip turned into $275 because of having to pay for the truck and the miles. Not to mention it took an hour and a half to complete this transaction. Also I was told the charges wouldn't be made until I brought the vehicle back but I was charged right away.HARLEY H.

U-haul's system was down so I had to extend my reservation to three hours later; not the location's fault for sure. They called me once the system was back up so I appreciated that. Locked the key in the truck and so I called roadside asssistance and we were on hold for 2 hours only for them to hang-up on us, so I called a locksmith. Will ask for the insurance I bought to be refunded since U-haul was no help at all.Chelsea G.
Store was great, great customer service from the staff members. U-haul charged me twice, I was not able to received my purchased rental truck due to U-haul, caused me more time/money, and the website was bugging which did not aloud me to return my rental. This was the only time U-haul has disappointed me and I feel like this would absolutely be the last time I use the service. I come from a military background which required us to move all over the country. We have been using this company for years and this one time absolutely ruined it. I have yet received a receipt from returning my truck and am still waiting for my money to be returned for the rental I was not able to get due to U-Haul. My family will no longer be a customer of U-haul and if my money does not get return I will be taking it a step further. It is impossible to get a hold of a representative so that my issue can be resolved. This issue started on July 31th and still have not been fixed as of August 3rd, very unprofessional.PATRICK C.

hire/pay/staff another worker in the morning to better assist customers. i had an appointment at 9:30AM, so i show up at 9:25AM, then had to wait for 40 minutes because there was only one person working at the uhaul facility. totally unacceptable. the uhaul employee did well, but the store needs two employees to assist customers. disappoinied with uhaul.MARCO C.

The person who was assisting us was very rude and unwelcoming. I made a reservation and was told that the dolly wasn't available. I was understanding about it because I get that things happen, but the way he handled the situation was very distasteful, lacking customer service tremendously. The vehicle had a bad cigarette smell and was dirty on the inside but it only allowed one picture to be taken. The car they assigned me, they double booked it so we had to figure out which person was going to get the first vehicle, since the other one was trapped behind it. so it took me extra time to get where I was needing to pick up large furniture at a certain time. You need more staff. Wating for a long tome to be served. Was told I would receive my receipt via email. Have not and now need to follow up. Not sure why your staff prioritize answering phone calls and helping individuals on the phone over customers in the office who have been waiting, surely you should train them to answer the phone and let the caller know they are dealing with another customer and ask them to wait. The whole 2 phone calls was not communicated to me and is absolutely ridiculous.James K.
