This was the most unsatisfactory experience I have ever had renting from Uhaul. This experience was not about the pick up location, but rather the misinformation I was given regarding this rental. When I finally arrived at the pick-up location, having registered online, I was asked to provide the name of another contact or a passport before I would be allowed to proceed. I provided a drivers license and have rented from Uhaul in the past, but it was demanded by the Uhaul representative called by the pickup location that unless I provided a reference (to be contacted for marketing) I would not be able to proceed. I was able to provide a work ID that the local pickup individual was able to enter into the system so I could proceed with my rental. Before that, from my initial reservation to being redirected 15 miles out of my way, past 2 nearby Uhaul stores, with one telling me that unless I quit complaining about the runaround I was being given regarding where I would be able to pick up the trailer that he was going to cancel my reservations right then. I will do all I can to avoid renting from Uhaul in the future and I will be sure to share my experience with anyone who asks me about renting from Uhaul in the future.

The pick up place was a nice store with a nice variety of supplies. They had the cutest little horse toys and the lady working their was very nice and helpful.

I called to confirm the rental and when I said was confirming a Uhaul rental I was told to call back then I was hung up on. When going to the store to pickup the rental we stood at the customer service counter (no one else in line) and after a few minutes the woman finally looked at us and so to go to register 1. I said we are here for Uhaul rental. She then went behind a counter and told another woman who was sweeping and she eventually came to help us. She acted like helping us was the biggest burden in her day. She didn’t explain anything and said that if returned it after hours to put the key in Uhaul box behind store.

The trailer was in back covered in snow and ice. It took me a half an hour to dig it out to I could connect it to the truck. It should have been up front by the office ready to go!!

I won't be renting a U-Haul again. I asked for a rental in Rockford Minnesota and they sent me to Maple plain To pick up a truck without notifying me that, that was where the truck would be. of that distance I have to pay for over 32 miles that I wouldn't had to pay. i even asked the gentleman "are you sure the truck will be in Rockford.". You were the company that used to be the best, now everything is changed ofor the worst. Tired of renting a truck that cost me more than quoted. Sme

You really should put trailer jacks on your trailers. I hurt myself disconnecting the trailer from my vehicle because unlike every other trailer out there U Haul is apparently too cheap to put a trailer jack on.

It would be nice to have a jack on the trailers so it's easier to hook up. Trailer was quite heavy to lift to get on the hitch.

Revived broken equipment. Tow dolly was missing ramps . Had to hook equipment up by myself with no help or guidance . Was also told to buy ramps to get the car on and off the dolly . I will never use uhaul again . I will never refer uhaul to my family or friends because of this.

Store does not carry any of the usual packing/moving materials (boxes, pads, bubble wraps, etc...)

The sheer incompetence I had to deal with added a level of stress to my move that I didn't need. I left with the equipment, with less than half if a tank, body damage, filthy windows, only 16 of the 36 pads and no hand truck. The fiasco was then made worse because the counter person couldn't print out my contract. Then I was charged a second time to the AT, even though I prepaid for the whole rental online. Then some nasty woman at traffic called me and told me you wouldn't be refunding the $209 duplicate charge. Well, my bank assured me they will not honor that. I will NEVER rent from that location nor will I prepare again! I'll go to Penske if traffic tried to make me go there.
