I registered for a truck. Everything went smooth. I rented a pick up truck at another location rented. Everything was fine. Go back to pick up my 10 foot truck at the Union location. It was treated very rudely. Apparently I had an outstanding balance from eight months prior, I was not notified. I did not know anything about. I was embarrassed in front of all the people in the lobby by the sales person working at U-Haul. He was very rude, he would answer no questions. He just hand me the piece of paper to call this number I was extremely upset and embarrassed.

Francene IUhaul has been great to me until I encountered the manager at this location. I rented a uhaul 6x12 trailer for $70 from another uhaul location to pick up an ATV I had bought, only to find out the trailer only had an opening of 5'6 and the ATV would not fit. I had to abandon the ATV at the side of the freeway and I was stuck 400 miles from home with a dangerous situation. I looked up local uhaul on Google and this location was 4 miles away. I spoke to the manager and asked to exchange the useless 6x12 trailer for a car hauler, but he would not rent me anything until I checked in the trailer I already had rented, for this he charged me $820! Then wanted another $260 for the replacement trailer. My $70 rental ended up costing me well over $1000 The manager showed now sympathy for my situation and took no responsibility for the fact the 6x12 trailer would only fit 5'6" ATVs. He would not let me rent another trailer until I paid him over $800 and would not let me leave the uhaul trailer in his yard for even 1 hour while I rescued the stranded ATV. I was totally ripped off and held at ransom. I rented a 6x12 ATV trailer only to find out it was no where near capable of loading a 5"6' ATV and then was held at ransom and forced to pay outrageous fees. I was shown no help or support even though this problem was all a mistake of uhaul wrongly describing their 6x12 trailer.

billy oWhen a reservation is made , the dealer should make sure the vehicle is on site and ready or go get the reserved truck from another location. Dealer stated we take walk ins over reservations..what?? What is the point of a reservation, absolutely ridiculous. I will not be recommending nor renting from U-Haul.
Tom AI reserved a one way trailer 3 weeks ahead of needing it. In Riverside, CA. I was called the day before and told I would have to drive 40 miles out of my way to pick up a trailer. We were able to pick up in Bakersfield on the way to our destination so it wasn’t too bad. Figuring out better availability and ensuring reservations made far out for one way trips would be a good idea. I wasn’t happy with U-Haul overall this time.
Jordan TTake me to check the trucks cause I really want the brakes were not as good and they keep on pulling like if something is wrong with the transmission and then I noticed there were several people that came in the store and we’re having problems with their trucks as well so I think they should they need some maintenance done but overall everything else is OK

ISLAM BI was trying to pay at the end of my rental and I had to use 2 cards well they took the money off ot F the second card but the first one was declined so I had to add money to the second card and pay all in one. Well, I never got the $222.10 that they took off the first try. And they said it would go back to my card but it hasn't. Very unhelpful.

Maria IWill not return to this U-Haul. I reserved/rented a trailer, bought a tow hitch and when I asked for help (locking pin defective) the employee tried to use a zip tie as a cotter pin. I stopped him as it was unsafe and so he ignored me and went to break. Need better training/better customer service.
OBED Amaintenance all trucks,. the truck i rented had issues with the transmission an the brakes were not safe ,. i had to pump the brakes to make a complete an safe stop..the windows on the truck were not clean

Gerald FI did not choose this location for a reason. It has a 2.9 rating on Google maps. It had one person working the desk on a Saturday morning when people are doing the majority of their moving. They did not have any of the furniture dollies available that I had specifically requested for my move which I reserved one week out. I was forced into this location because the jackasses that run your company did not have the U-Haul that I wanted reserved at the place 10 minutes from my house and sent me to the entirely opposite end of the city in order to pick up a U-Haul that should be available readily in any location nearby. Please do better for the love of God. The only redeeming factors of this location was that the staff that I was able to deal with after I finally got someone because the first person was buried by some asshole that didn't know how to order a U-Haul. The staff was working exceedingly hard to make things happen at that location and the fact that there were only two of them was insane. Management at that location should be taken out back and shot. That is of course a metaphor for you should get rid of them. They are running that place on a shoestring budget. Audit them today.

Gilbert RI originally placed my reservation using the on-line system. Apparently the size truck I had reserved wasn’t available at the location selected, although the website appeared to show it was available. That would be my only recommendation, that what appears available online is indeed available.

Sam CFor the rental Process you get 5 out of 5-CLEAN. Just a thought: Just like at airports, you might want a place for overnight personal vehicle storage. You could add it for a fee. Also, I almost did not bother with this 5 for 5 evaluation submission, because it did not automatically transfer the contract information to the evaluation.
David HI did not like the fact that I was put on the E Alert list and had to wait 30 minutes on the phone to get taken off the list just so I could rent the uhaul. They did not even tell me why I was on this do not rent list. I did not owe any money, there was no reason I should have been on the list and they fixed it in 2 minutes and did not tell me why I was even on the list to begin with. It was very inconvenient and frustrating to be put on a list for no reason and delay my rental when I was on a timeline to move my stuff.

Cyrus AThis dealer never answers his own phone. Impossible to coordinate any activities. First appointment the parts had not arrived. Wasted 90 mile trip. They told me they would have to trim some of the rear fascia/bumper. I had installation instructions from U-haul internet site and said no. It was finally installed with no trimming. Excellent results after all that. Took over 3 hours but well done.
