Trash, dirt, and furniture frequently littered the outside of units. After less than two mouth we found signs of droppings within unit so immediately moved to a newer more secure storage facilty which cost additional time and money. Also found the storage unit area not easily accessibe since you had to step outside vehicle to punch in code or swipe card to gain entry into gate.

The staff is always super nice and there if you need them and the premises are well kept and clean. No complaints about this facility at all. Great experience with them!

I asked him did I need to pay now he said no you will pay when you pick the truck up. On the day of my reservations after my arrival I was told they didn’t have any more of the sizes that I made reservations for. The gut working front desk wasn’t knowledgeable about a lot nor helpful. The general manager was a little more helpful and apologized.

When I inquired of the staff for instructions of how to handle the claims they were not much help and now I’m finding out that the instructions Bethany and another male staff to take pictures and throw away the damaged clothes and other items may not be right and may cause me not to be able to recuperate a great deal of my loss. No I won’t send my worst enemy to the place where my stuff was damaged, the unit was overrun by spiders and spider web and the staff are not knowledgeable of every process…worst of all when I asked about my contract number so I could do the claim form, they put me on hold and never came back…thankfully the number was on a message correspondence I received from them

When I arrived the day of my move, the staff could only offer a 20' truck. While inconvenient, Bethany authorized a discount for the additional trips I was required to make as a result of not having the needed vehicle.
jeri Jones | Overall ExperienceThe entrance and exit is congested by uhauls that could be moved to a big empty lot beside the facility. You have to wait a waste gas while trying to enter because some else is trying to exit. The are uhauls stored in the driving space in the storage area. I rented a 26 foot truck and had maneuver around them I also had to go out on the main road and come back into the storage area because the entrance was blocked. So the gas I had just put in for the return was being wasted because of the inconvenience. I want be putting in any more gas and I don't expect to be charged and I expect a full return of my deposit. I will be calling the corporate office with a serious complaint because from the start they messed up my reservation. Calls are recorded for quality and I'm always very specific. Your staff in person are so involved with their cell phones and can't pay better attention to the customer in front of them and I'm certain the same thing is going on with the phone conversation and this is why orders are not taken properly. For me this is not the first time.

BARBARA CARROLL | Overall ExperienceUHaul pushed my drop-off date a few days due to the hurricane. They neglected to also push my storage reservation, and I was informed by Andrew McCain that I had no reservation, and that I was supposed to be at the UHaul at 4788 Dorcester Road. He was confused, as that is where I was supposed to drop off my trailer the following morning at 7 AM. Mr. McCain could not tell me if any units were available, and I had to call the main UHaul number, make a new reservation, and only then would Mr. McCain set me up in the system. He was very quiet and seemed very confused for most of our interaction. I had been informed by UHaul that I had access to my unit until 10 PM, but Mr. McCain informed me that my access was shut off at 5:00 PM due to construction. This was at 4:35 PM. I asked if I could unload my trailer, and he coldly said "I can't allow you to do that, sir." Seeing as my access to my unit would be limited to office hours for the indeterminate future, I said "You know what? Cancel my reservation." He said "Okay, you can go sir." I called UHaul again and made a reservation at another storage location, and when I went there the next day, they had no record of a reservation. So I went to CubeSmart. A free month of storage with UHaul is not worth the hassel.

First Deliverence Power and Victory Church | Overall ExperienceI told to clean my unit before I leave but they didn't provide nowhere to put your garbage and any furniture, etc that you don't want. So l stacked and put the trash in trash bags and got a called the next day saying I will be charged $200 because the picked up the items I left stacked. I told them you didn't have a dumpster to put it into. And they hang up on me

REX JONES | First ImpressionsMajor issue, my unit was emptied out saturday the 31st, i was out of town and tried calling and never got thru so I sent 2 emails, I saw Monday where november payment was deducted from my bank account I went straight to the office and tried to resolve this but was told I was supposed to turn in my access card, this is the 3rd time renting from this facility and never had to turn in these cards after leaving, I asked to have the charge reversed or give me a new card and I will use the unit for the rest of yhe month, I was told by the "manager"{who needs some serious customer service training}she would have to call her manager, I went by today and was once again told by this person that she would have to call corporate so I told her lets call but she was busy, so now I have paid for a unit that I cannot use and this is 100% un-acceptable and need this issue resolved, there seems to be a continuing change of "management" and this person needs training, my phone no is 843-345-3654, I need an answer

I started about 15 years ago under Stars & Stripes and over the years saw no changes in the product/service I received. I did, however, see a price increase of over 65%. Have a great day.
THOMPSON ELECTRIC | Overall ExperienceI tried to call, was put on hold for 30 minutes. NO ONE EVER ANSWERED!!! Staff is rude. I was very sick with the corona virus and missed making my payment. I was told they would void my late fee. Then I find out you have two late fees. Only one was voided. Prices are ridiculously HIGH!!!!!! I will never get a storage unit with u-haul again. I will tell anyone asking about u-haul not to either.

Luis Chaparro | Overall ExperienceWe had our storage unit for 10 years and really had no issues until the past year. The management decided to allow storage of RVs, cars, and trailers onsite. This decision made it dangerous for a tenant to access their unit due to the fact that they would have to park in the roadway while onsite. I found it very frustrating when there was limited access to the building that our storage unit was located in. U-Haul should not allow this practice until such time that have the room to safely do so.

Some of my belongings are damaged with mold or water damage! If your staff at that facility did their job and checked from damage to the unit I'm sure my things wouldn't be water or moisture damaged. I'm thinking of asking a lawyer about this situation! Your staff, your safe and secure facility is below a poor rating. This says talk to your staff first to resolve any issues, well I would if they weren't so disrespectful and rude.
