The people allowed to rent at this facility were very sketchy and I did not feel safe going there by myself. A person was even found sleeping at the end of one hallway. It was not like this when we first started renting. Anyone can enter the garage area which should only be available to people using the temp controlled units.

I had my storage for around 5 years and it started at $29.95 when I moved out it was $59.95. the rate was increased 3xs in the last year and a half. I felt like I was being gouged over and over. The homeless was everywhere dogs running around. It was bad in the end. Always smelled bad. I was one of the first people to rent inside. I feel driven away by haul.

I felt safe going in/out with the scanning system. That assured me only people with storage units would have access to the inside of the building. Having a climate controlled unit was nice too, both for myself and the items I stored. Staff was friendly and helpful when I started and ended my rental.

People called in to your private property to steal things while police sit across the street and aid them, people living in units, always a witch craft voodoo satanic pagan trash wanna be important tool being coached around at us normal successful people , faulty lock mechanism, faulty door, has vagrants sitting partying st unit all day and most of the night, employees play "craft" at the customets planning with their crime ring on how to finagle "emergency contact" data so that they can make umnecessary phome calls as if thet don't have your own contact number though they do and they try to play games with you and one emergency contact they designated and it is a form od human trafficking, your employees are criminals and I wS lucky to get out of there alive and with only a few stolen items as they are confederate type of slavery trash kkk freaks who are into property conversion scams amd the whole world os killing off assholes like that so...

The property was well maintained. When I needed to pay over the phone every month because I hate technology, the staff was very friendly, pleasant and professional. I’m glad I chose this place for my storage needs.

I received an invoice with a late fee weeks after I had done an in app move out. I called to clear it up and the phone rang and rang. I went in to office in person and the employee was helpful in checking my account but no reason for the invoice being sent to me and my emergency contact was provided. Also, why is my emergency contact being contacted for a non-emergency?

My wife and I are in our mid-70s and we’re making a move that is huge for us. Since we’re downsizing, we needed a place for long term storage of items we need to keep but won’t be using often. When we learned we could rent a truck and drop it off at our destination with a 1-month free rental we were very happy. When we got to our destination and saw how nice the climate-controlled storage units were, we were thrilled! The whole process was easy for us and the service we received at U-Haul Storage of Eau Claire was exceptional! I highly recommend them.

When renting a storage unit everything should be explained better I couldn't even get into my unit do to a 24 hour building wouldn't let me in come to find out the next day there's a 10 dollar fee that was never expanded due to homeless problem people in the building so charge the customer like that will fix your problem

I really appreciated being able to make the reservation and do most of it online. Prior to settling on U-Haul I was calling around just to get prices and many of my calls went unanswered. After the reservation was made I went directly to the office and it was a quick and easy transaction.

My only grip on the communications regarding the move-in relates to the check-in process. There was no information on the preparatory emails about checking in. While there was information on the outside of the facility itself, it was a little overwhelming and there are 3 identical keypads, all of which take the same code, but only 1 of which you have to use first ONLY to check in. That was nowhere in the email comms, which would have been helpful. Other than that: Everything was fantastic. Thank you!

The final walk through with the manager. Where I paid an amount to grab what I wanted within 24 hours. That was the nicest they were. Otherwise I left because they made it feel like a prison. Staff always there. One hour limits. They have cameras for Pete's sake. And they are too quick to call the police. I never signed up to pay a one hour daily monthly fee. I had a friend that got evicted. Very bad experience. I would not ever rent there again. Why not hire an armed guard. That's how people feel there. With your supposed time limit request and extra security. Everyone should have a reasonable expectation of privacy. Especially if they aren't there consecutive days in a row. If homeless. Who cares. You got cameras all over. Let them be. As long as not consecutive days. Or if people Wana dumpster dive. Let them. They do because of reasons. Did you know the eau Claire police are required to document where homeless people frequent. I hope that wasn't why ya had the extra cops etc. That was the worst business decision u made. I don't know anybody but maybe the cops that liked it. Aren't cameras enough. Let them do there own job. Get warrants. Old fashioned police work. Not jail via U-Haul. My princess you made feel very unwelcome. But people have addictions. Don't be so quick to throw away someone's freedom. Because jail is not treatment. At least maybe you saved a life for the night by looking the other way in a heated storage unit. Not consecutive. A difference. Think about people. Not being the police in disguise when you have cameras. Too much big brother. No thanks. I'll never recommend U-Haul storeage to anyone. I do give the manager a compliment. Only when she said ...when she was a kid they lost all her family stuff in storeage. Probably the same people you rent to but first to call police. That's my two cents but it's the truth in my perspective. That was the only time she seemed real and caring. I saw she hurt as a kid when she talked. I related too. But too much security....no thanks

The only feedback I have was that some of the exterior garage door motion detectors weren't working when I moved out but we were able to use the manual buttons. Loved having access to that heated space for truck loading.

#5 above. The facility was clean... However, in the maintenance category, we had an issue with the locker door not staying up in the open position as needed, (locker 2105). I reported it to staff and they responded immediately, attempting to rectify the issue. Unfortunately, it was not resolved. A second issue reported and unresolved is that the slide lock bar is extremely tight; difficult to open; painful on the fingers, especially when opening. .

This guy and a girl came driving up to me unloading some stuff from my kids moms van. Harrassing me. Telling me it should only take me 10 minutes to unload and store my things. I move my stuff out the next day due to that employee. I do not recommend uhaul storage to anybody.

I was told I could use the storage facility as I had a one way vehicle and a one way trip. The manager Holly called me the next morning after the move and storage were already completed to tell me that her underlines screwed up and I needed to come get my stuff 3 hours away or pay the monthly 80 dollar fee. Mind you, I only had the wrong size vehicle to begin with because of the advice I received from another employee. I had to call customer service to get this squared away and I ended up not having to pay for storage. But all the same, I won’t recommend this specific facility. Note: also gas was closer to half a tank than 3/4. I returned it with 7/8 so I got kinda screwed there too.

Was looking to get a refund for some rooms that I rented as they weren’t going to be big enough for what I needed. Was told to come back the next day when a manager was available. Thought I’d be able to call to avoid an hour fifteen minute drive one way. Called multiple times throughout the day with no answer, ever. Also called general customer service and they were unable to help and I was told I did have to go to the location. Unhappy with not being able to resolve my issue by a simple phone call

One of the ladies, Holly, screamed at me and her fellow employees because I asked for a unit. She preceded to say how she was going to quit her job and screamed at me to leave. I was just trying to calmly explain my situation cause someone messed up my account precisely. It was an easy fix but she was the rudest person I have ever had to deal with. It was like a crazy SNL skit and didn’t feel real. Everyone else was extremely helpful but they also do not like her as an employee.

I was picking up a UHaul box which was supposed to be on a trailer. When I arrived at the store, I was told the box was still in the warehouse. The only trailer they had on site had a broken jack, which they knew 2 days prior to my scheduled pickup. I was advised the parts to repair the jack would take 2 weeks. When I did not accept this delay, they were able to find a trailer at a different location, but even then, I had a 90 minute delay, causing extra costs for me, as I had crew lined up to help me unload.

My only feedback would be to share a map that shows where the particular unit is. I was looking outside for my unit when it was actually inside. Since I’d never been there before, the map was kind of confusing out of context. When I asked for help, the general manager was exceptionally helpful and courteous. I am very pleased with the process overall.

Our card to get in and code seldom worked and made it hard to get in almost every time. Then when we left we followed the procedures and still got a bill with a late fee. This is super inconvenient and not very good business practice. It got fixed right away but checking out took 3 phone calls and emails to the uhaul website. Please fix your billing system issues then you would rate excellent.

Despite having paid for the unit, when I arrived at the unit several weeks later, it had been rented out to another client. I was told it was because I hadn't used the unit immediately. It shouldn't matter if I left the unit empty or not. If the space is paid for, it shouldn't be rented to another client. I was able to sort it out, but there was certainly time lost. I had arranged for stuff to be loaded into a truck and moved. Belongings had to be unloaded in the garage while we waited to gain access.

in the midst of moving my mother in law into a new facility and needing storage quickly, I have had to work with movers, starage, phone transfer, change of address, insurance, ...the list goes on and we are in the middle of covid. If not for Andrew and Bobbie this would have been poor at best. Uhaul is very difficult to work with at regional and website levels. We rented a 26 ft and 20 ft trucks, 4 u boxes and 3 storage units. There were hiccups on all these areas with web or regional contacts. Again Andrew and Bobbie at Eau Claire saved the day. Wesley from Como in St Paul was also great with delivering the uboxes.

When doing an on-line quote, more clarification of charges would be helpful. Quote indicated a delivery charge, but didn’t clarify it was to drop off the empty box, then another charge for a non U-Haul company to deliver it at the ship to location, and yet another charge for them to pick it up after was emptied.

Had a significant amount of issues setting up the ubox (i dont believe it was eau claire's fault though just the geberal hotline) i origibally reaerved the box to be dropped of on a monday pucked up on a tuesday. Sunday before comes turns out uboxes dont deliver on sunday or monday. Set up the appointment for tuesday pick up wednesday. Got a call saying that their equipment broke and either it has to come on a different day or has to come via trailer (we couldnt do it any other day as we were moving 1,500 miles to nevada that Wednesday morning). They called and said wait trailer has to be picked up same day otherwise it wont meet the guaranteed delivery. Five minutes later get a call from the same person saying hey cross that we do have to pick it up wedensday. There was just a significant amount of either changes or miscommunication that lead to not a great overall experience. It was fine but a significant hassle.

Overall my experience with U-Box was excellent. My only complaint is that I got way too many furniture pads for a single box, and they ended up getting in the way (6 would probably have been enough, 12 definitely would have been). Otherwise, would 100% recommend U-Boxes for long distance moves.

Although Andrew was exceptional when initially renting truck and securing the storage unit, the move out process and completing transaction was ridiculous. I called four times, on hold for almost 10 mins. each time no resolution, finally rec'd this survey so assume my storage unit check out process is now complete? However no one could communicate that to me when I called 4 times to ask why I was receiving emails for a late fee.

The Eau Claire, WI location is understaffed. It took me 4 hours to be able to contact someone to find my U-boxes that were in storage because my reservation was lost. I was hung up on multiple times when trying to find my U-boxes. I will not use this service again. The manager, Andrew, at the Eau Claire location was very helpful when our reservation was found. Please get this location more staff so this doesn't happen to more people.

Great experience. I was in a 2nd floor unit which I was concerned about. The elevator and carts still made it easy to move everything, and the facility was clean and well organized.

I had to call several people and got transferred every time I called to more than one person. I had set up my u haul box to be picked up on a day at 12, but then got called and said they are unable to do that and had to move the pick up date but I had previously talked to two workers confiriming that day. It seemed there was not good communication at all between the workers and had to call numerous times before to get everything set up. Not just three times, but 9 times!

The manager, Andrew, at the Eau Claire, WI store was exceptionally helpful. His level of customer service was absolutely mind blowing. So kind, professional, and helpful. Very impressed. Will recommend.

Amazing experience, we checked in at the Hastings St. location by the GM. He was friendly, helpful & informative. We arrived at the Self Storage on Moore St. The facility is clean, organized & easily accessed! I would utilize U-HAUL for future storage needs!

Very clean facility. We felt comfortable leaving our property in the storage unit knowing it was secure and safe from being damaged. The free use of the flat bed carts were an additional bonus helping move everything in.

The manager i dealt with was extremly respectful and just made us feel like friends walking through the door. The only complaint i have was that because of unforseen reasons we were assigned to a unit that wasnt ours and then had to wait on hold for over an hour to speak to someone who apparently didnt know anything. After having to go back to the store and speaking with the same manager quickly handled the situation and seemed genuinely sorry for the troubles we had. My rating negitively to the company but would give that manager 5 stars all the way around for handling a bad situation and making everything better.

Overall it’s been good. Had a few issues with drop box/pickup dates and charges. However with one call Courtney, Carlie, and Ken usually resolved issues Right away! That was Amazing! Now just waiting for u-box to arrive at destination. Prompt and professional!!

There were some technical difficulties with their computer system, it got stuck processing while checking in and then checking out. But the lady who helped us check out took off part of our bill to compensate so that was nice.
