The driver was great, called ahead asked questions in order to ensure I got the best service. Excellent service!
Thomas MU-Haul was literally filled with dirt and not cleaned. Equipment was not ready at pickup time. They forgot to provide a dolly so I asked them to remove it from my contract but was then charged $130 for missing equipment. The team at this location was wildly incompetent and unprofessional
Ashton AThe truck power steering kept going out on me. I almost wrecked twice when I got back I left at the same fuel level as when I picked it up which was incorrect. When the counterperson put it on the slip. I sent a picture and showed them they still charge me for fuel. They charge me a penny more per mile And then they charge me for two day rental when it was only a one day rental, horrible experience, horrible equipment the truck had 175,000 miles on it and completely beat to death

Peter HWe filled the gas tank up entirely, it was our fault for making sure it was only 1/2 full to start. However, it's still not their money. The company refused to refund the money we put into the vehicle but didn't use.
Molly EBoth my pickup and drop off locations, customer service was on point. Very friendly and personable, luckily got a newer unit which was the most smooth ride and nicest I have rented from UHaul.

LARRY RI had a reservation for an available truck truck want there. Clerk said it'll be 30 minutes late...it never showed. UHAUL CS rep, on phone told me there was nothing they could do. Higher-up CS rep said I'd have to go to a location 45 miles away. Offered me the standard $50.00 discount for the truck not being there, but nothing for my extra 45 miles. This put me 2 hours behind schedule. On return of truck I had to 'proove' the discount because there was 'nothing showing in our system"...

Rossiline CFirst gave me keys to wrong truck then put me in a truck that was disgusting. Not cleaned windshield was so dirty had trouble seeing out and it was on the inside trash in vehicle and drivers side front fender has damage and the door struggle to open due to said damage
Hollis RWhile, I appreciate the efficiency of the drop-off process. I was disappointed that it lacked thoroughness which left me feeling without proper closure. Specifically, I encountered the following issues. I was surprised the person didn’t inspect the truck when I dropped it off. It would’ve been nice to receive paperwork or confirmation on site, indicating that the vehicle had been returned satisfactory.
William BTruck was 3/4 of a tank of gas, dirty, with a broken roll up door latch. The employee admitted it was not cleaned or gone over prior to our renting it. There were a couple cleaner looking trucks available in the yard, they actually switched us from one of those to the dirty truck. We videoed the truck prior to leaving the yard, but had a time crunch and just took it anyway. It did the job, we returned it with same gas as we received it with.

Susan WThe UHaul enclosed trailer had not been cleaned off from all the snow on top of it. The employee that came out to help us find the trailer, was not helpful, when my husband tried to lift the trailer to connect to the truck. The trailer was very heavy.

Hugh LWe rented an ope. Trailer to help with a move - it had. 6-8” of snow in it when I got it home - I shoveled it out so it’s not a big deal but given how uhaul stresses that equipment has to be returned clean … should be clean when we pick it up.

Robert PWent through hell with the people from U-Haul. DO NOT recommend U-Haul at all. Customer service was the worse. I was giving 3 different amounts First, they had a uphaul then they didn't. Then they called me 3 days before I was to move and didn't then they did have one. Very Very stressful experience.
Gloria SMore selection of sized trucks for the fact of cost of use. Free upgrade was awesome but I spent more in gas trying to use the truck. Was a breeze to use though. I’ve always had a good time and all my needs met at U-Haul. Thank you U-Haul teams. Always helpful

Justin GI was renting a unit (1702) for years. The unit flooded bc of a water pipe leak and I lost A LOT!!!!! I had insurance but was only offered the 1k policy. I wasn’t aware there was another higher coverage option. However, the staff helped me with throwing out priceless items and told me not to contact the city of Bangor until THEY (U-Haul) filed their claim. I was told MANY LIES!!! 1.). I would be contacted after a suit was filed 2.). I would get a smaller unit and the staff would help me move the remaining property I had 3.). My monthly payment would go down and finally, LIE #4 was being told that NOBODY had said any of the above!!!! My friend was with me and can confirm EVERYTHING I just stated. I’m extremely disappointed with this and to add more insult, my monthly bill went up $10/month and I have NO CLUE WHY!!!!

DENNIS HThe first truck i was given the breaks where so bad the steering wheel was aggressively shaking when trying to stop. The second truck was filthy the back had some sticky substance spilled in it, the windshield had something dripping down inside, and the drink holder had cough drop wrappers in it, and a drink spilled on the back board.

Martin AJust like the last time when I rented a van about a year ago, the van's front seats were covered in white dog hair. The cargo area was not swept out. I picked the van up with 1/2 tank of gas and returned it 3/4 full and when I requested credit for the gas I was told that "we don't do that". It was my mistake for renting again from you and will avoid it in the future due to this bad experience.
Lisa II could not successfully check in or out using the app (Android) but I was greeted by a friendly face and assisted quickly. Overall, it was a great experience!

laura pYour outer Hammond st location was a joke. We had an 11am picked up at 12pm customer pulls up clears out van then clerk went out to clean van for us and customer had left with the van! I made him call the customer she needed to get more stuff! He shrugged his shoulders and says I don't know what to tell you. He sent us to your Washington location to get a van .They told us they just rented the last one this was after they were told to hold it for us! Oh our mistake, we do have one. This took almost 2 hours. If I didn't need the van so badly I would of have walked out! Complete lack of customer service for us but the customer who so disregarded the rules got rewarded for being 1 1/2 late returning the van and didn't have to pay. Yeah I was standing there when the "guys" were talking about it. Knowing we were waiting for the van! Disgrace!!!

KOREY BI rented a car trailer and the ratchet for straps was rusted and very hard to use, did not notice until I got to my destination, that being said the facility was clean and staff friendly and helpful.

Michele DThe installer was available when I arrived for the appointment. I asked for an approximate time the installation would take and was told approximately two hours. The job was completed in 3 and I/2 hours. No one came to the waiting area to explain a reason for the delay or that additional time was needed. I had first set up the appointment with another U Haul office. When I arrived I was informed the installer had not come in to work. No message was sent to me to inform me of this situation before I came in at the appointed time. Not showing up for work is not uncommon these days but not notifying a customer about the situation is a problem. Two experiences that need to be addressed in order for me to feel respected by the service personnel.

Jon HThe truck wasn't clean smelled like cigarettes. The miles weren't right on the paperwork it said 195117 when the truck only had 125173. I brought it back with 125259 and got charged for the miles being wrong .The truck wasn't filled it was at half a tank when I got it so I brought it back at 3/4. And also got charged for it now being fueled so no I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

And they won’t cut off locks and make you try to get a locksmith come do it for you, which is practically impossible in Bangor. We moved to a different facility.

James J | Overall ExperienceMy storage unit repeatedly didn’t lock, and I found it unlocked twice after asking a staff to close it. When the facility flooded, my belongings including precious family hand knit sweaters, I was not notified and found out my unit was directly across from the burst pipe from an employee who laughed and said “there’s no way it didn’t flood”. Further more, throughout my time working with the employees at this facility, they would make sec jokes, joke about drugs, and were not properly trained, or at least appeared to be based on the long wait times and the numerous times there would be no employees in the store when I needed assistance. 100% would never go back to this .facility and would never recommend it unless you want to deal with rude, ignorant employees.
Jamie L | Overall ExperienceThe flooding was poorly handled and the manager didn’t know much. People got in my unit and just threw things out, I will never know just all that is gone. I received a measly sum for what got destroyed. I was not given an opportunity to review my possessions before thrown. Locks were changed without consent or customer knowledge. Main entrance needs light bulb replaced, hard to see to gain entrance, staff is not knowledgeable of what’s going on in the building as well as the manager. Staff are hard to find and not all too friendly. I prefer to use the odlin rd facility in the future, that facility is much better as well as having a place to put things that you do not want so somebody might want it. I have so much missing and damaged from my unit that wasn’t included in the insurance payment, like pioneer woman glassware and fake books that were filled with momentous. I wasn’t given an opportunity to claim my possessions, they were damaged or thrown out. The manager knew nothing of what was going on in her building! I did not have a good experience with the Washington st facility, I will use another in the future. Corporate and repwest need better customer service skills as well as communication skills. I shall never use Uhaul ever again. Oh they even changed locks without telling the customers and so much thing’s missing. Everyone across the board needs to do better!
Jeffrey M | Overall ExperienceHaving been a customer in the past, I did a search to see what pricing was at all of the facilities in the Bangor area. I obviously looked at the wrong building when I searched for Uhaul, because the price was more than another place…so, I decided to go with the other facility. The other one has zero security…anyone can enter the storage area when the doors are unlocked! After thinking about my decision, I looked at Uhaul again and saw that I could get the same size room for $20 less, didn’t even notice what the security measures were…until yesterday. I went in, and after a hiccup of my own stupidity, the process was quick and easy…Heidi is awesome! One of the employees showed me how to access my storage room, which was a good thing or I’d have been totally confused! The security measures are amazing, nobody gets into the storage area without proper access! All rooms have a “critter deterrent” box, and I was assured that they’ve not had any issues, but they use them just in case. Oh, if that’s not enough, you can pull into the garage bays to load/unload…no worries about what the weather might be! I highly recommend Uhaul!!!
