The original 10x15 unit was reserved, but when we showed up, someone had already moved things into and locked the unit. No other 10x15 units were available, so we had to settle for a 10x10 unit at the last minute. Unacceptable for U-Haul to not monitor their units when they are already reserved.

The RV parking area could have had better drainage. When we get a monsoon, the area would get 6 inches of water making access impossible. When the water receded, the area was muddy for days.

I was finally able to find a home and move all of my belongings out of storage two days after my monthly payment was due and when asked if they could prorate my payment for the 3 days I used the unit I was told no so you stole $200 of my money but I was absolutely expected to make sure it was clear and clean.

Was on site with my own RV and heard an alarm go off somewhere on site of another vehicle. repeatedly tried to call the front office, kept getting rolled over to the 800 number and this was during business hours. further no effort was made to patrol the site after I finally got through to report it (30 minutes later), no follow up call was ever made to me even after leaving my number. I did not feel my expensive investment was being properly looked after. Quite disappointed.

When I went to park my boat, I discovered someone else was in my spot, store rep said she couldn't do any thing so she just refunded the money and I could tell that can care less if I become a customer or not, she could care less if I was satisfied or not. It would have been nice if staff check availability of the spot before you post that online as availability and not when customer pays for it, then gets there with the 25 food boat just to learn that the spot is taken. Lazy, unprofessional staff.

I made a reservation for an RV spot weeks ago. I thought I would pay for it to get ahead of things. Obviously a mistake the computer moved me into that spot that day which was weeks ahead of my reservation. And because it said I moved in did not allow me to edit anything. It took days before somebody answered the phone at that location. They they would fix it and refund my money which they did I immediately looked at my email receipt, And nowhere does it say I still have a reservation for my initial time it also said I moved myself in- again. Finally got a hold of the location and they explain to me I will never be 100% guaranteed a space because of a reservation. I don’t understand what the reservation is Four, if not to guarantee you your place? You cannot pre-pay for anything in the future. I guess you have to take your chances the day you move in and bring your credit card and hope for the best?

There was a few mix ups with the storage unit that I was granted free for 30 days due to my move wirh Uhaul. My first issue was obtaining the storage, where it took me several trips back and forth between fhe storage and the office, since the unit I was granted was locked by someone else. A couple weeks later, I returned to find the unit I was granted locked out due to no payment. Somehow my information was not attached in the system for the unit given. Once that was clear, I ended up waiting for an hour to find out the staff lost the lockout key, and they had to cut their lock off so I could access the unit. Although the storage and location and security were great, trying to obtain and use my unit was a poor experience.

Uhaul has been a nightmare since day 1. Thousands of dollars spent to have one problem after another with little to no communication or satisfactory result. I have spent hours on the phone, sent dozens of emails to have my complaints addressed. If I could take Uhaul to court to get reimbursed for my time & frustration I absolutely would. Whether it had to do with truck rentals, storage reservation after driving 1000 miles to be told our reservation was "not really a reservation" spending needless amounts of money to reschedule movers scheduled to unload Uhaul- just complete incompetence every single time. The last fiasco was ordering a 26' ft truck to unload a storage locker only for my husband to start truck at facility to find out catalytic converter had been stolen out of it right there at uhaul facility. Having then to take 20' truck costing us money for movers having to make 2 loads vs one load. I could go on & on. Emptying our storage locker on 15th of month with no reimbursement for other PAID for two weeks we didn't utilize. Unacceptable. How Uhaul pulls off their operation on a daily basis is a mystery. Two price increases in one year for a facility that was receiving no maintenance were too much. Coaches that were too large for their spaces were parked everywhere, which made it difficult to make the turn into our space. The access through the U-Haul maintenance yard was often a problem when semis, trucks, trailers, and storage boxes were strewn everywhere, creating an obstacle course when trying to leave the facility. Plus management of this facility always seemed to reflect the attitude that it was their way or the highway. All things considered, it was time to move out. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

Was provide with a storage unit that already been rented and found out when I arrived to the unit with lock on it Then called the office and was given another unit. When I opened the unit I noticed the bottom of the door was bent and broken glass was all over the place with stuff from the previous tenants. Tried calling again no answer so I had to drive back to the main office a distance away wait in line again to tell them about the mess of this unit. At that point I told the clerk I was in a hurry and needed to have it cleaned. The clerk said he will get someone out there as soon as he can. I waited about 30min and decided to remove the previous tenants struggle and kick some of the glass and began to unload. About halfway through is when someone arrived to clean it. They did what they could with the glass and took the left stuff. My issue is I was fist rented a unit that had been rented already and the one finally provided to me was dirty and not cleared out. This wasted a lot of my time that morning where I had to adjust the rest of my day. Please ensure units are available when rented and they are cleaned before rented out to a new tenant. Thank you

Staff was friendly but not helpful reserved RV spot online and called to verify day before towing RV 30 miles to your facility spent two hours at your facility to find out you do not have an RV spot reserved for me someone else is parked in there your representative proceeded to call other renters to see if they still one of their spot to try to help me in the end I spent my day wasted no RV spot and you still haven’t refunded my money. Completely on organized I’m sure your other clients I would not feel that their RVs are secure in your facility knowing this. Please refund my money so I do not have to waste more time with my credit card company disputing charges

Disgusted. Traveled across America- rented trucks from uhaul twice in same amount of months. Originated out of Springfield Illinois with no issues. Final leg of trip out of Granbury, Tx- again no issues. Great service. Outstanding actually. Made a reservation for storage facility in Surprise for 10x20 unit. Arrived that morning 7am sharp, waited in line for 30 minutes in a completely understaffed facility. Had movers scheduled- being paid hourly waiting for us to meet them to unload the 26' truck. Once we were actually being assisted by the "kid" behind the uhaul counter- he proceeded to tell us he had no available units - actually told us our "reservation is FIRST COME- FIRST SERVE." What? ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. We traveled almost 1000 miles- Arriving late previous night in a 26' truck needing to be unloaded- by movers waiting in 100° heat to be told "oh well- sorry for your luck." Angry doesn't begin to describe our emotions with this ridiculous situation. I demanded the general manager of the facility be contacted & immediately come speak to us. We dismissed our movers paying them for a wasted hour and a half of their time. Waited another 30 minutes for the manager to come speak with us. After angrily explaining the circumstances & demanding another day of uhaul "eating costs" of uhaul truck- he miraculously located a storage locker - 10x20 to accommodate our items. Manager was patient, professional & helpful but that does not change the fact that now we are over 2 hours of inconvenience & frustration- movers gone & having to reschedule our unload for next day. Costing us valuable time & money and another night in hotel by facility. I need not remind Uhaul that we had many options for renting and advertising available storage locker & reserving it with our credit card should be a done deal- legitimate reservation- not false advertising which is exactly what we faced that morning from a kid behind counter who didn't seem to appreciate or care about the severity of our situation. I cannot express enough the manager was the hero of the day- but it was after much upset and frustration. I spent 30 minutes calling around to find another storage facility big enough to accommodate our items only to be told 2 hours later uhaul actually had one at that very site. We had to pay our movers to come back next day and do what should have been done that morning. I plan to write uhaul corporate a letter of complaint and will be a very long time before we ever consider renting from uhaul again. This is not how you treat customers who are two grand into your company with 2 moves within 2 months. You made our situation unbelievably stressful, expensive & all unnecessarily. We had other options of companies- we chose uhaul because of service we received in Illinois and Texas. Arizona is a entirely different scenario. So give the manager a raise- he is a gem. But hire more staff to accommodate your customers and train them to be more understanding to people who expect their reservation to be honored. This situation should NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN to anyone choosing to do business with uhaul. Christina O'Connor

I asked the employee if he wanted to see my contract, he said no he would get the info off the trailer. After taking my money, the manager had no way to pay back their mistake for 5 days, no offer to refund $10 of the rental because of their mistake, just “we checked it in on the south lot, sorry I have to keep your money for five days”

We found another storage space closer to us for less money, climate control and indoor storage. At Uhaul, it was difficult to open/close storage without alarms going off. Much better access service at our new storage space.

My storage door would not close had to get another storage. This is the least hick-up we had. Your process of securing a truck was the worst experience I have ever had. Called several weeks in advanced to secure a 15’ truck and 2 days before pick up you call and tell me I had no truck available to get for my move. Finally was told I had to go to another city to get a 10’ truck and another city to get a trailer. Absolutely a cluster F.

I rented a truck and saw that we could get a free month of storage. The staff were having system issues when I went to pick up the truck so there was a long line. The app glitched and staff had to manually pull up my reservation when I elected mobile check in. The staff member was abrasive and rude. When I inquired on the storage unit he said I would be provided that information when I came back with the truck. When I came back about an hour and a half later, the system issues appeared to be worsened and I had to stand back in a longer line to receive the storage info. I had family waiting to help me move into the storage unit growing anxious to get to other appointments for the day. Overall I spent an hour waiting for service between picking up the truck and finalizing the storage space. The staff member that helped me with the storage unit had not gone through that process before so that took extra time and the original rude staff member that helped me with the truck would piece meal assistance which delayed the process even more. Overall not a good experience for a new renter. If it had not been for the free month of storage, I would have gone somewhere else.

Made reservation to store my RV but a boat and trailer were parked sideways taking up half of my space in addition to his. There were 2 other open spots for RVs. It would have taken 5 min for two employees to straighten out the trailer and clear my reserved spot. Insisting they had to speak to the owner of the boat. They could have offered one of the other spots for the or until this was resolved but we’re going to force me to pay $50. more for the month! They said they’d call back but never did so I called cancelled. Wasted 3/4 of tank of gas and risked my health for nothing! Cancelling apparently isn’t as easy as you’d think and was told to call back Monday. Geez!

In the amount of time I was renting 2 RV storage spaces, rent went up twice. Reason I was giving was maintenance. You do not maintenance or maintain anything at this RV storage yard. The lot is full of dirt and has never been cleaned. So when RV owners or Boat owner bring there cleaned units into your facility, if and when any wind storm or rain all of this dirt gets all over everyone's property. I have called and discussed if you're going to raise rent put the money where your mouth is. Your company does nothing to maintain. I just cancelled both to go down the street to your competition, because I was not about to store a 85k new boat at your facility. Unfortunately you people don't care because people keep coming for those who have no storage and HOA. It's very disappointing when companies such as yours don't care.

Facility is well protected and clean. The exception is that the asphalt has deteriorated to the point that when vehicles drive through they kick up dust and the RVs are always dirty.

your centers are so poorly understaffed. not just this one, every one I go to. stop saving pennies at the cost of the customer. I saw several people walk out on many occasions.

Sorry, but I tried the covered RV Storage and the rates were too high when you consider what you get, eg dirt parking, very dusty, cost.
