Emma AustinI was charged for two extra miles that I shouldn’t have been charged for as well as three gallons of gas that was not there when I got the truck. I put the gas back where it was when I got it and I counted the mileage accurately from the odometer as well as Google maps. I will be contacting customer service because whereas it may not seem a lot. Uhaul just inaccurately took a meal from my kids and I mouths.
Tamara HutchinsonI am a returning customer, and this experience was the worst to date, I've utilized U-Haul storage for 5 years, had just used the service in September 2023, so the routine of reservation was made in adequate time as I received confirmation texts and emails, I with another party conversed with the u haul agent where specific requests to have storage , truck , and dolly, I was told I would receive a month's free for storage for being a return customer within the same year and a free lock as that was the special for customer this month. Upon arrival I had no storage or was told there wasn't, no one in Mtgy had a dolly was conveyed to me by the in-store agent. This was A TOTAL INCONVIENCE AS I HIRED MOVERS, and was held up at uhaul , and had my adolescent grandchild with me the whole time. Then was charged for the lock and insurance on two separate transactions, this was Terrible and I have to voice my experience to whomever, I was lied to about the size of the storage and lied to that there weren't any, then none on the first floor.

Korica MitcheamI would like to preface this review with the fact that the specific location is not the problem, but since there was no review option of my original location I will do it here. This location was extremely helpful and the original location that I requested my truck, but I was sent 40 minutes out the way to a location that was closed for renovation. Then was on hold for an extremely extended period of time (in her defense she was really trying to find a solution) to find a new location (my original requested location) but had to “upgrade the truck because the 20’ I requested was unavailable (even though my reservation was put for about a month), it was supposed to be at no additional charge, but when I arrived there was an almost $200 increase because I was originally charged the 26’ truck rate. Again, this location was amazing and helpful with resolving my issues, but the frustration of time wasted on my part can’t be unmentioned. Not to mention that size truck cause me to spend more money on gas because of weight, and I truly did not need that size truck. That God I had a family member that drove trucks because I would not have been able to drive a truck that size in the apartment complex I moved to

CLARK PRICE | Overall ExperienceRude, unfriendly, and poor communication. My company rented a U-haul truck for 31 days. When we messaged them to say we wanted to extend it for another week and asked them to let us know if it wasn't available. There was no reply or reservation.
ATS Alabama CorpEquipment was clean and mostly functional for our needs. However, one of the four tires was nearly flat at 15 psi and the other 3 tires were 15-25 psi low. The forward safety chain was missing from the trailer. The passenger side fender was missing a mounting bolt.

I had left my keys in the lock for the storage unit within the actual storage unit thinking that it would be safe there since I was continuously moving things. When I went outside to gather more things and purchased another unit, the building locked me out, denying my 24 hour access and leaving me stranded without my keys at 2:00 am. The manager of the facility refused to come to the facility and I was forced to sit in the U-Haul truck for 5 hours overnight in 20 degree weather. No one came to help me. I’m still sitting here now as I type this message. This is ridiculous.

Initially they hooked up one of your new ramp 5x8 trailers but the text Uhaul sent me to check the trailer's license plate showed I was given the wrong trailer. Had to unhook that one and replace it with a two door trailer. Still not the license plate in the text so your rep had to call your HQ to get me reassigned to the trailer hooked to my car. Overall it took about 2x the time necessary to get me off with a trailer.

I was being helped by someone else and he just insisted on being in our business. Which may have been ok but the store was full and he was just loudly putting my business out there. Had he stated over in his area and helped his current customer that might have been useful. He just was not pleasant at all the whole time I was thinking. I'm am so glad I'm leaving because his attitude and way he talks to people was uncalledfor, unprofessional, inappropriate and rude. Everyone in the store was looking at him as to say why do you have to be so mean and unforgiving. I will never ever ever use this uhaul again and I will definitely tell all my people not to either. And I am a very professional person, and I believe that good customer service goes a long way. But he has none and that's just unfortunate. And the crazy thing is you guys may not read thus, but if you do please consider addressing additional costumer service training. Uhaul Woodmere

TALANDRIA NATION | First ImpressionsI'm disappointed with the management at the U-HAUL Moving & Storage of Woodmere location (#775026) at 2525 Eastern Blvd, Montgomery, AL. Initially, my choice to use this location was due to the great service provided by two young men, Wes and Caleb. However, after their departure, the professionalism of the staff declined significantly. During one instance, a truck was blocking the entrance gate, and when I inquired about the expected duration, an employee responded rudely, stating that I simply had to wait. The tone and attitude used were quite disrespectful. I've also faced security concerns at this location, with my storage unit being broken into twice. The first time, Caleb informed me, but the second time I discovered my unit was open without any notification. This lack of communication was concerning. While waiting for assistance from General Manager Nathan, I observed two employees gossiping and making derogatory comments about customers. This behavior, including a remark about wanting to "strangle" certain customers, is unacceptable and unprofessional. On my move-out day (August 19, 2023), Nathan finally treated me courteously for the first time. I strongly believe that U-HAUL locations, including this one, need to focus on treating customers with respect, adjusting attitudes, and improving overall customer service quality. Certainly, expressing my feedback to management would be ideal, but unfortunately, it was extremely challenging to do so!

James Tucker | First ImpressionsI have stored my RV here since 2017. Since then the area has deteriorated as far as cleanliness is concerned. Trash is all over. Derelict vehicles have been allowed in and parts have been scattered all over. Gravel has been eroded leaving large holes and ridges throughout the lot. Security has been lax as several break-in's have occurred. This facility has been convenient and at a reasonable price but conditions are getting worse.

After the first break in U-Haul seem to be concerned and wanted to help but after the second break in, we weren’t even notified by U-Haul. Other people storing their rv’s let us know that we had been broken into. It was by accident that we found out that they were closing the RV storage in the back. I went in and ask are y’all going to close the RV storage and the man said yes and I said why haven’t we been notified he said well we’re trying to get around to it, but you’ll have to move out by the end of July, which it was mid June When I found out about it. They still have not contacted all the people in storage and it does take time to find a new place to go. The facility was never clean. There was trash everywhere, and I spoke to a management about it but nothing was done. I asked him please put a trashcan back there and let people know they can put trash in that, but nothing was done. I finally tied a trash bag to the pole next to our camper and every time I was there I would clean up around several campers near me . They would let semi trucks come in and tear up the yard. They were junk cars in several units and they didn’t know who they belong to. I’m sorry, but this area in the back where the RVs are was never managed by anybody in fact, they told me they didn’t have a manager for that area and I believe it , the storage unit is very convenient to us and we’re sorry that it was run so poorly. I hope in the future that y’all will have more qualified managers.

The location 1225 Montgomery AL Eastern Blvd is very unorganized, turn over staff and very untruthful, my storage was left open for nights due to my lock wasn't fixed I have done several complaints the store manager do not reach out General manger do not answer I have called corporate to speak with the General manager Boss and I'm still waiting, now I received an email saying my information has gotten out with my ID bankcard information and everything,( identity theft) I will contact the NEWS and a lawyer so then someone will hear this story.

When I asked the cashier about it he said “well that is a first”. He was practically no help at all. After minutes of questioning he eventually gave me the number for claims but that was it.

What would have made a difference when I moved out was for someone to say Thank you for being a valued customer for SEVERAL years and paying on time of not in advanced. I was late once but just a day. There seemed to be no appreciation for the customers. Those things go a long way. If you are going to have an “express” line, it’s a good idea to utilize it so customers wanting to pay their bill don’t have to stand in line behind all the rentals. The lady that cleans the facility is a true gem! She is the sweetest person and goes out of her way to show kindness to others. She does an exceptional job!!!!!!! Can’t say enough about her. She is the one that brings light to the facility.

I showed up on Monday afternoon with a truckload of materials from my classroom and was given a unit. We unloaded the entire truck and went to find our the unit. When we found it, there was already a lock on it. I went back to the office and told the gentleman. He walked to the unit with me and then said he'd have to call his manager. We walked back to the office where he called his manager. Apparently, the unit had been rented and there was nothing left in the size I needed. I was told I could rent the next size unit for $20 more a month. Given the inconvenience we'd experienced I think I should have been given that unit for the price of the smaller unit. I was told that I would have to talk to the general manager, but he wasn't until the next day. We had to load everything back into the truck with nowhere to take it. This was completely unacceptable. I now have no place to store my classroom items for the summer. I tried to return the lock I was made to purchase and the gentleman didn't know how to do it. We had also tried to have a propane tank filled and the man working wasn't certified to fill it. How can you leave one employee in a store who isn't able to actually run the store?

shay gourdine | First ImpressionsWe have had our 41ft. fifth wheel with the on the eastern blvd. with u-haul for 4 years. We and everyone else in the covered storage had a break-in. They called and took care of the repairs. That was a 1 to 1 1/2 years ago and everything was ok. There was a second break-in in a few units but the people were not notified. We had to call the owners of the motorhome next to us and they didn't know about it. We sold our RV Satuday and went into the office to let them know. We have never been late on any rent. We usually pay one year in advance. The young man that waited on us came in and out the front door twice and never said a word to us. It was not very busy when we went in so we waited our turn. When we got to the counter we told the young man there that we had sold our RV but we were going to purchase another. Knowing that the covered storage was less than half full. I asked him it he could reserve our spot ( it took us 2 years to get slag put over the mud in that space) His response was NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. I would think that a company that had loyal paying customers would be a little more courteous. I could have understood if they had more RV's but this was just rude. People need to be trained in how to talk to customers. This man needs an attitude adjustment or just fired. I don't usually respond like this but I was just shocked at his response. I'm not man . I just feel sorry that this man is so miserable and he will surely cost you customers. Thank you Debby

And still proceeded to eat throughout my whole purchase, it was so unprofessional and just rude. Then when I asked him about any specials on the storage he asked me if I could buy him some wings and he will see if they have any specials. Super unprofessional I was so stunned. After moving that evening, I arrived to my storage unit, and to my surprise they forgot to take the lock off of our unit. So we had to find a friend to keep our furniture safe until the next day. It was such an inconvenience the whole thing. I’m just really appalled and upset!!!
